Avatar m tn i've been experiencing many symptoms that have interfered with my life for about two and a half years.
Avatar m tn Anxiety can definately cause Tachycardia, however there are other illnesses that will too. Have you ever had your thyroid checked??? Is this your only symptom. I suggest that you google "hyperthyroism checklist" and see if any symptoms that you experience are there. If all else is ruled out, it can possibly be an Anxiety disorder and you can also do a checklist for that condition as well. Self education is the key.

Avatar m tn The reason I chose 8 instead of 10 is that the study that I have mentioned showing the correlation of FT3 to symptoms, included only 8 symptoms. They referred to those as the most typical 8, and got the study participants to subjectively give each of the 8 a numerical rating. Then they added all the ratings for a given patient and used that total symptom score in the study.
220090 tn?1379170787 Thank you SO much for posting about this subject - I was just about to post on what I labeled as "anxiety issues" post tx that been increasing - even after 1 year post tx. I thought "anxiety" might be misleading though as I don't feel stressed nor anxious as I understand it. More just all over the board in my thought processes. I liken it to a riba rush without the anemia - and actually it feels pretty good during the day, but hell at night.
4939681 tn?1361302899 Then I came across what's his faces (starts with a B) symptom checklist and AHA there it was 4-6 week symptoms cycles (if I remember correctly). This was hours after reading my not-so-neg labcorp Lyme results. The LLMD didn't really have anything to add about the cycle thing, except that treating Lyme is a lot like playing whack-a-mole. You treat one and then a coinfection pops up. I think I am in agreement that the doxy isn't doing much, but if I don't give it the 2 months I'll never know.
432411 tn?1206475709 I was recommended to a doctor who specialises in hormonal medicine. He had a 13 page in-depth checklist of symptoms which I completed. His diagnosis was hypothyroid despite the tests (I have heard false negatives mentioned a lot when researching this Depo/hypo topic!). He said my symptoms were way too clearly pointing at it. I was put on NATURAL THYROID EXTRACT RATHER THAN SYNTHETIC and experienced incredible change once I reached my therapeutic dose (for me it was 3.0 grain).
Avatar m tn I think my symptoms are more due to anxiety than anything else. I have been checking my body much more frequently then normal, which could have caused me to realize the red spot on my chest. Seeing as I have always had a little chest acne it is probably associated with that. Not only that but at the 5 1/2 week period when I got tested, I was also tested for HIV which came back negative.
Avatar m tn my anxiety is sky high after a night of drinking, but i love drinking ahhhhhh dont get me wrong i dont have a problem its jus when i drink all my anxiety symptoms jus disappear but i suffer the day after so im tryin cut down on my beer intake, i find if you are gonna drink make sure you eat something and get a decent nights sleep, then plenty of water the day after, it is cruel how people have to stop what they enjoy doing cause of anxiety, dont get me wrong im not promoting alcohol but its unfa
Avatar m tn Bartonella symptoms are very variable, and different in each person. It was s good thing I tested positive, as the only significant Bartonella symptom I had was anxiety, and that could have been attributed to Lyme. It, too, can come back after you think it is gone. It is good to treat it past when you think it is gone for this reason. I posted a Bartonella symptom checklist on this forum recently. You can scroll down to find it or search for it.
Avatar n tn i haven't taken anything for several months and i still suffer from a list of symptoms{heart palpitations, strobe ligth effects in my head, head fuzzyness , and a feeling of the worst mortal anxiety that i've ever known. most of the symptoms come and go, but the feeling of anxious dread is pretty much always w/me. i finaly talked to my docter a couple of days ago, and he basiclly told me that these symptoms were all psychological and that i needed to come in for more therapy.
Avatar n tn Not in patches, but just all over my head and it's falling out from the root. I have a lot of anxiety, some insomnia, migraines, teeth grinding and a few mild panic attacks. I've also been under a lot stress in the last several years and currently have a lot of stress in my life. I went to my doctor recently and he said my hairloss didn't look like the kind of hairloss caused by thyroid, diabetes, fungus and I'm not anemic. I got prescribed Zoloft and told to try to reduce my stress. Is .
Avatar m tn Your symptoms are unique to you, so don't try too hard to run a checklist of other people's symptoms. One of Lyme's tricks however is that everyone is different in their symptoms, which I think is one reason some docs don't consider Lyme in their possible diagnoses.
Avatar f tn Some people may experience strong flu-like symptoms 2-6 weeks after infection, and ARS only lasts a week or so. Some people don't experience symptoms at all. Unfortunately there is no such thing as a "checklist of HIV symptoms" that we can use to determine an infection, and we STRONGLY discourage people to self-diagnose HIV by looking at symptoms; testing is the ONLY way to know if you are infected.
Avatar n tn Even if you don't feel sad or upset, it wouldn't hurt to go through the depression/anxiety checklist. Also, maybe try exercising (not later than 3 hours before bedtime), taking your mind off your symptoms, or doing some yoga or relaxing stretches to help quiet your muscles. If any of these things works, it will be cheaper and less stressful than putting yourself through tons of medical tests.....

1618236 tn?1408075814 It is certainly possible. Although your labs do not suggest that your thyroid status is much outside the "normal" (in fact different doctors would say different things about whether the isolated elevation in your TSH is significant or not). One useful way of assessing this is for you to find a checklist of "hypothyroid" symptoms to see whether and to what extent your physical symptoms suggest that your thyroid is possibly causing you problems.
494594 tn?1212971528 If you really want to find out why your child is having certain symptoms that may be affecting him or her at school and at home, we need to understand how the child learns, processes information, rule/out learning disabilities, and make sure that anxiety or depression is not creating these symptoms.

Avatar f tn For the past 2 months my symptoms have been getting worse. I started out with some of my joints popping for no reason and frequent. I then had what the doctor said was a groin strain and put me up for 2 weeks with pain killers and a heating pad. I got better but never completely healed; I can step the wrong way and feel a pull there. Now I have so many things going haywire since then. My knuckles, elbows, knees, ankles and hip joints hurt and feel weak.
Avatar f tn Gastric reflux can exacerbate asthma and you may not have any symptoms of it (reflux)...you may not know you have reflux. There is usually a checklist of possible causes of asthma and the methycholine test for asthma isn't always definitive. A pulmonary function test would likely give more information. Hope this is helpful. Good luck!
4190741 tn?1370181432 In the 8-week open-label outpatient trial, 12 adults with severe and long-standing PTSD and depression showed a significant reduction in the anxiety symptoms of PTSD, as measured by the PTSD Patient Checklist as well as symptoms of depression, as measured by the Quick Inventory of Depressive Symptomatology . "We think that it works by sending signals in through the trigeminal nerve into the brain stem," reports lead author Ian A.

Avatar n tn I read through a checklist of ADD symptoms, and she doesn't seem to fit the criteria. However, the criteria seemed focused on older children with various questions about homework and the like.
Avatar f tn Needing a diagnosis by captainleads, 29 minutes ago I'm a 25 year-old +male with symptoms of insomnia irritability with frequent alternating symptoms of “hot and cold” sweating and freezing. I have a hot temper but it's usually related to feeling lousy. I've had this for 3 or 4 years possibly longer! Is this more likely a thyroid problem or over-production of testosterone, or something else?
