3178266 tn?1344536316 t you have a doctor prescribing you these meds? Almost all of them are contraindicated for pregnant women, though given how hard it is to quit them that doesn't mean quitting is workable. The companies who make mood regulating drugs are all being sued right now for birth defects they didn't warn anyone about. What you need to do is talk to your doctor, carefully and thoughtfully weigh the risks, and make an informed decision.
Avatar n tn I was on a light dose of Zoloft when pregnant, i.e., the smallest pill and I broke it in half. My nurse practitioner said she had seen a lot of babies born to women on anti-anxiety meds, but most are not assessed for pregnant women, so talk to your doctor. It's a cost/benefit thing, always do whatever makes sense given the possible consequences.

Avatar m tn Hi there. If your doctor prescribed Lexapro for anxiety, please don't allow your anxiety to interfere with your treatment. :>) Many people take Lexapro and feel better. Some do decide to go off and tapering significantly helps with any withdrawal. There are lots of horror stories but the ones in which discontinuing a medication was not a problem match the number. So, don't let fear and anxiety stop you from feeling better. Talk to your doctor.
11970398 tn?1443134602 There will always be a possibility of any of those scenarios happening but the beauty of modern medicine is.... There is medicine to help with pain....if your going for a vaginal birth and something goes wrong you'll be rushed for an emergency c section a number of women give birth and their babies aren't breathing for a number of reasons...a bit of suction down the throat and a few pumps of oxygen and most of them come to it and are fine. But that's just life.
Avatar f tn I'm already a worry wort. I worry about everything, I guess that's what most women do. But I'm 8 weeks and 5 days. I don't feel pregnant at all. Or I'm bored in the 1st trimester. I have an appt in appt April to hear the heart beat. I just have to wait.

Avatar f tn Has anyone used CCRM (Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine)? From what I've read they are practically miracle workers for women over 38. We live in CA, though, so it would be a huge investment of time and money, plus finding someone to stay home with our 12 year old daughter...so I'm trying to find someone who used CCRM and find out what their experience was...
