Common Questions and Answers about Anxiety disorder nos symptoms

Avatar f tn I've had symptoms that could fall under acute stress disorder, panic disorder, general anxiety disorder, and depression. Sometimes the symptoms can fit in one catagory and then switch over to a different catagory. For example, in the past I've had frequent panic attacks throughout the day. Overtime, I've found triggers (more trivial than life threatening) for some while others just happen. Majority of the symptoms began after 2 years of profound stress.
Avatar f tn My son's diagnosis was Pervasive Developmental Disorder - Not Otherwise Specified, or PDD-NOS, for short, is a condition on the spectrum that has those with it exhibiting some, but not all, of the symptoms associated with classic autism. That can include difficulty socializing with others, repetitive behaviors, and heightened sensitivities to certain stimuli. This is the reason why it is important to have your child screened by an expert. I did not waste my time in denial.

I am in the UK, and the definition of 'education' in the UK is not limited to just reading and writing. It includes social interaction and play skills, life skills, emotional regulation and anxiety regulation etc. So, in short, I disagree with the school. Is she in a mainstream school?

I don't have hallunations, but I believe that I'm delusional. (Clearly I am if I believed that I had various rare, fatal diseases.) I feel numb sometimes. My memory is decreasing, and it feels like it's decreasing faster. My motivations is declining quickly.

The truth is, OT, counseling, play therapy, etc..therapies do not always work or even help much.

Avatar n tn The problem is sometimes those pregnancy symptoms are an awful lot like period symptoms (it's a bummer that nature works that way). But either way, I started having sore breasts and slight nausea within about a week or so after my IUI. The IUI worked and I did get pregnant... so although everyone is different, the symptoms started rather early for me. We'll cross our fingers for you and hopefully you'll have some good news in a week or so!

I'm not being treated for my ADHD, depression (currently in remission), eating disorder NOS, because I do not like medications/the way they make me feel...I have been being treated for my anxiety because it had got to an incapacitating point of anxiety/panic attacks and partial agoraphobia which would descend into depression eventually. So I've been treated for the past 4 years with different prescriptions. But what I currently take has done me the best.

I would no longer be able to get insurance . So that would be pretty stupid, it's sort of all starting to make sense now because I realize when I'm having a hypomanic episode or severe depression . Does anyone else have this disorder? What has helped? Right now I'm on depakote and Celxa and Klonopin.

He was born via vacuum extraction and was "blue" for a couple of seconds.
Avatar f tn I do however have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, bipolar disorder (NOS), depression, anxiety, and GERD. I recently figured out I have Fibromyalgia too, since my mood is finally "normal" with being on Lamictal, but all the pain is still there. I'm betting your kid doesn't just have one thing, but a few different things occurring together (co morbid). If the doctors can't help you, you need to start doing your own research. That' the only way I ever figured what was wrong with me.
