1762978 tn?1313614515 Just to add, you shouldn't have high blood pressure. High blood pressure can cause all kinds of problems long term, including heart disease. Have you followed all the usual guidelines for lowering bp, such as reducing salt intake.
1521781 tn?1310513772 At this point I noticed a pattern of anxiousness expecting a high blood pressure reading ever since I went to the gyno. I work myself up in expecting it to be high and being scared... Before this time, which was in October of last year, my doctor had noted my blood pressure being perfect all the time. But said I should monitor my blood pressure to see how it fluctuates. I did so and I found that my BP in the morning is in the 100s (102-113) over mid to high 70s.
Avatar f tn I'm 20 years old and had anxiety for years but only the physical symptom's for around 3. Over the past few months or so i've noticed my body is extremely sensitive to my stress level's - even the smallest amount. Whenever i start feeling stressed i get all sorts of problems, i can feel my whole body tense up, i get palpitation's, dizzy spell's, my eye's start feeling strained, i get tingle's all over my body and a bad headache.

Avatar f tn re having some trouble with your blood pressure. I agree with your physician that 156/66 is too high. Your blood pressure should be below 130/80, with lower being even better if tolerated. Many things contribute to high blood pressure including age, genetics, weight, diet, exercise. It sounds like you're on the right track with your exercise. Aggressive diet and exercise can often get patients off of their medications altogether, especially if couple with weight loss.

2044839 tn?1331255841 When im on xanax it actully drops in to the 90s or high 80s i think it might be my anxiety/panic disorder but is this all possible? My blood pressure is a lil high on average around 130/85 usually around that area thoughts??? Thank you for replying.
Avatar m tn It sounds like the headache is a tension headache and if it is high blood pressure may be a factor.
447939 tn?1235061943 your bloodpressure would be high thats what causes alot of heart attacks ,but it can also be high with anxiety mine gets high when am in anxiety, stress etc so cant always relate that to heart attack.
Avatar m tn I have suffered from anxiety in the past, however, I have quit my medication (lexapro) about 8 months ago, and after the first 1-2 months, my anxiety completely disappeared. 8 months ago my heart rate was around 65bpm, and my blood pressure around 135/80. Nowadays, my heart rate is around 80-85bpm resting, and my BP around 145/90. I have in the past tested my thyroid function (no problems), did several ECGs, one echo, as well as tests to check cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
Avatar m tn Your symptoms are not likely to be tied with high blood pressure. You are most likely experiencing symptoms of deconditioning or dehydration. Keep up your fluid intake while exercising.
Avatar m tn hi im 22 an all my life ive had high blood pressure its kind of bad normal blood pressure for me is 167/110 pluse of 100+ ive had this problem since i could remember atleast since i was 8+ one day i got stressed out an almost like i was having a heart atk i went to the doctor an my blood pressure was like 220 over 134 pluse of like 164 they told me i have nothing to worrie about i mean is this normal for a person when i am doing something bad like speeding an see a cop i feel like im going to di
Avatar f tn I would personally look into the natural ways of doing this, at least research them, as medication for high blood pressure, as with so much medication, can have consequences that are as bad as the high blood pressure, such as pulmonary problems. Again, as always, we have to do our homework and then make a choice.
Avatar n tn I would check again and see what your blood pressure is. Sometimes if you take your blood pressure right after you lift heavy weights, for example, it can be higher than usual. If it stays high after a couple of times checking it, you should see a doctor. Good luck.
212161 tn?1599427282 Have you been anxious over anything lately, or in pain? My blood pressure was about 167/114 without my meds. After an injury to my upper arm my blood pressure went way up due to the pain. Let me know what it reads today.
Avatar n tn My mother is in her late 70's with very high blood pressure (systolic pressure was at 250). She's getting tests done, but they don't seem to be timely or thorough enough. My mother is horrible with advocating for herself. Her PCP told her that she may just have to live with high blood pressure. Could this be true????I don't think they are treating it aggressively enough.
