1394262 tn?1369625192 Hi anyone taking anxiety medication & trying to conceive? I am trying to conceive & am dealing with my anxiety issue at the same time. I am thinking if I should see a psychiatrist for help. I will appreciate it if you could share with me if you are suffering from any side effect from anxiety medication or not. Thanks.
1041243 tn?1375230520 I have ocd, gad, and moderate depression (all have been formally diagnosed). A week ago my psychiatrist stopped my 200 mgs of zoloft and started me on luvox 50 mgs a day for the first two weeks then 100 mgs a day there after. A couple days later I started expiriencing major withdrawal symptoms, severe anxiety and panic (more so than usual), insomnia, and some slight agoraphobia (I don't like to leave the house, but I will if I need too) and even stronger ocd symptoms.
Avatar f tn m not sure whether the anxiety is anxiety disorder or caused by the medication. I know some medications can cause nervousness or phobia on occassion. Abilify and Zyprexa did that to me but that's not that common but within the realm of possibilities. If it happenned before treatment though it could just be anxiety disorder.
Avatar f tn This might be a bit lengthy, but here goes. Depression, lack of desire for previously enjoyable activities, anxiety-especially in social situations, insomnia, migraines, numbed emotions, unfounded fear, disturbing dreams, short term memory lapses, and difficulty concentrating. Thee are prolly a couple more, but these are the most bothersome.
Avatar n tn ve gotten your period by then, still make a note to discuss the effects of not only the medication but of stress and depression on your cycles. It's really amazing how little it can take to throw our schedules out of whack. Try not to worry about it, but.......if you just can't, call your doctors office. His nurse or PA can probably put your mind at ease. I'm sure it's just nerves. Been there............
Avatar f tn Psychiatric problems — Stimulants for ADD / ADHD can trigger or exacerbate symptoms of hostility, aggression, anxiety, depression, and paranoia. People with a personal or family history of suicide, depression, or bipolar disorder are at a particularly high risk, and should be carefully monitored when taking stimulants. Potential for abuse — Stimulant abuse is a growing problem, particularly among teens and young adults.
Avatar f tn Im on medication for depression and anxiety. Also occasionally I have a sedative in case I go bizzercerz. Would that hurt my child more than stress would?
Avatar n tn Also my psychiatrist told me alot of people who suffer from anxiety/depression will think the medication is making them worse because the are already struggling with anxiety/depression. However, some medications just don't work for people, or cause side effects such as fatigue. I was on lexapro 10mg for a year, then stopped, and started to take it again for a little over a month and it no longer worked for my anxiety. So I slowly weaned off the lexapro and switched to cymbalta.
172715 tn?1285494490 I have been Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia for over 8 years, plus Hypothyroid, sleep apnea, depression, insomnia and more. The list that I saw on this forum for anxiety is so huemunges that it looks like all the things that I do have. Or I have most ot the symptoms. What meds do I take for all that? My doctors have never brought up being anxious, not even my psychiatrist. I take meds to keep me alert, help me sleep, just don't like any of them. Any comments for me out there.
Avatar f tn Are there ANY anxiety/depression meds that are allowed to take during pregnancy?
Avatar f tn I've never wanted medication for my anxiety. My doctor insisted, so I tried it. I started with 10mg of lexapro and I started feeling better some days. I stopped taking it during vacation (because my work apparently triggers my anxiety) and I felt pretty good. When I got back to work I started on lexapro again but this this time I had all sort of side effects possible. My dr.
Avatar n tn I take 150mg of Lamictal, I take 1 mg of Ativan as needed and was recently put on Busbar (starting out with 5mg twice a day and working my way to 10mgs twice a day). I have had severe anxiety and panic attacks for years now, which is due to a laundry list of things. Since I have been taking all the medication, I feel like I am in a fog. My anxiety is worse, I am paranoid and I am nauseas a lot. I am 5 ft tall and when I started, I weighed roughly around 105 lbs. Now I am at 87lbs.
Avatar f tn I know that I need to be on some kind of medication, (OCD runs in the family) (been on medication for depression in the past) but I just feel out of control with medication even though I'm not im control of the OCD. I dunno what do to, any advice please?

Avatar f tn Hi Vanna! It can be hard but I have done it many times without the aid of medication. I find that the simplest way to get out of your "funk" is to make minor adjustments after evaluating your current lifestyle or situation. Get out your pen and pad or jump on a new Word document and off you go! Start with journaling to give yourself a much needed look into what's really going on. Have some quiet time or put on some good music that evokes emotion and let it flow.
4182046 tn?1355820039 I gor diagnosed with depression and anxiety and age 16, three years later here I am and pregnant! I stopped my medication as soon as I found out (20 mg citalopram) but my anxiety and depression are so bad, I really feel like I need my medication. Has anyone taken citalopram or another antidepressent while pregnant? pros and cons?
Avatar m tn As for Buspar from a lot of online research many people have had it work for anxiety, as it is just an anxiety medication and not depression. I read hundreds of good reviews on it, so research may say something but I also take weight in what actual people have to say. Spoke with my Dr about it and she agreed that it was worth a shot, and she has had many people who have done well with it.
6531549 tn?1382153290 I'm 20 years old, and I've been in college for about a year and a half now. I had a very rough childhood and lost my father when I was 10 years old, and then just last year I was in a really unhealthy relationship and starting struggling with depression horribly. I lost over 30 pounds (that I didn't have to lose), cried all the time for no reason, and got very easily stressed out. Needless to say I dumped the boyfriend because I knew it wasn't healthy.
