1556337 tn?1341712211 What i presume to be "Vertigo attacks" started happening again not long after i'd just had my first ear syrying due to my ear canals being so full of wax, it strikes out of the blue even when i'm sat still, its infuriating, nauseating and my depression cracked under the stress because of it all. Although this isnt the first case of it i've ever had its been happening recently and quite often.
Avatar f tn I have had a CAT scan at the onset of these symptoms and it turned out fine. But, could it not have been obvious then? Could it something worse than vertigo or anxiety? I am just at a loss. I am happy, I enjoy people's company, so I don't know if this could really be just anxiety. I have tried physical therapy, massage therapy, ear candling, accupuncture, saw an ENT, and every medicine under the sun. Any suggestions, feedback or comments? Can I be the only one feeling like this?
1767754 tn?1313877484 If all that clears, this could be a possibility that it is r/t anxiety. Anxiety/Panic Attacks are considered medical conditions.
Avatar f tn I know I have anxiety and panick attacks. I have had small episodes of dizziness and lots of little episodes of lightheadness. My new thing now is extremely long lasting veritgo. Last night I was in the ER because I had Vertigo for over 4 hours straight. Didn't know what was going on but after cat scan and blood test, doc told me in benign something Vertigo. Has anyone else experience this kind of vertigo for long periods of time ? ie.. hours or all day long without letting up?

957507 tn?1251597807 When I shopped at Meijers, the jolts would get extreme and I would be bracing myself because I felt as though I couldn’t find my foundation. Then anxiety attacks would hit me strong. I went to doctor after doctor, general practitioner, eye doctor, ent (had all the balance and hearing tests), neurologist (what a let down), I had brain mri, blood labs, neck catscan, eng, ekg and everything came back normal. The doctors thought it might be anxiety.
Avatar f tn it did nothing and i still dont have a cure for myself and truthfully all this stuff im reading online about diffrent types of vertigo has enhanced a little anxiety in me also..whats wrong with me?! if some one has a miracle drug or answer...for gods sake give it to me!
Avatar n tn Just to let you know, a feeling of vertigo is very common among us anxiety sufferers. When I first started getting anxiety attacks I felt dizzy a lot, especially when I went upstairs in a restaurant or mall. Like many of us here, I went to the ER a couple of times, was given antivert, but it wasn't vertigo, it was anxiety.
Avatar m tn Some time after (not entirely sure) I started having 1 second vertigo attacks. Feels like the world tips to the left real quick and its over. Some days there are no episodes. Others many. Happens when standing stil. Walking. And even sitting watching TV. Sometimes it feels like my head is buzzing (not audio) and then I get vertigo which jolts my anxiety and just like that, it's over. I'm not sure, but think I automatically clench my teeth and it helps it pass. But not sure.
Avatar n tn They also said I was lucky to have been diagnosed early as many people search for help for a long time and their panic attacks and anxiety as well as their balance get worse and as they stop doing stuff and going places (i used to get it real bad in shops, grocery store isles, also driving, anywhere there is lots of visual stimuli). Stopping going places then makes it impossible for the balance system to recover etc, vicious circle.
Avatar n tn I have been diagnosed with severe vertigo, mine is as a result of a fall. Dizziness could be brought on by anxiety but, you should know if you were having an anxiety attack when it happened. My dizziness/spins come on with no warning, when they initially happened, anxiety naturally followed. I had no clue at the time, what was going on with my eyes, ears, or brain.
Avatar f tn Or could this be anxiety from my first attacks ?
1282565 tn?1271448444 Should i get another MRI done? Why do the doctors blame all my symptoms on Anxiety? Is that even possible it could just be anxiety? Im so confused and lost...I just want my normal life back. Its impossible to function like a normal human being when I feel like this and drs just wanna throw drugs at me, becasue as so many have told me "Your only 23 years old i doubt its serious" Who CARES how old you are?? Just bc your young doesnt mean anything. I need some advice.
Avatar m tn Now, a VA doctors comes out to my house and tells me that he now thinks that I have Vertigo and Movement Vertigo which is causing my Anxiety situation. Can I be treated for vertigo and Tinnitus after all these years with success or is it too later for me now that 30 yrs have gone by without treatment of any kind? What can the neurologist and hearing doctors do for me now at this late stage in life and time?
Avatar n tn I've been getting some slight vertigo lately nothing that stops me from daily activities, but the vertigo feeling gives me anxiety and then I get little panic attacks which make me feel crummy, and it's been followed by some nights of headaches...sometimes I even wake up with headaches..they're very light dull headaches, but my neck pain is crazy. I have to crack it a few times a day to relieve some of the pain. I also wake up with my ears popped every morning for the past few weeks.
Avatar n tn I went to Seattle to visit my friends, and to go sight seeing. Anyways I went to this restaurant called Newport (seafood),they were serving steamed clams. Anyways to make a long story short I ate them and the next day my temperature jumped to 103.5,I was dehydrated in about 12 hours, and I had really bad vertigo. So I took the flight back home and went straight to the doctor,he told me I most likely got Vibrio (Stomach infection from clams).
Avatar n tn Maybe , I don't have Anxiety but a actual problem and this is making me Anxious and causing my Panic Attacks cause its impossible to sleep at night! Thanks for reading and giving you input, Ill be watching this frequently and re-posting on anything new that happens!

I AM PRETTY HEALTHY. I EXERCISE 3 TIMES A WEEK (WATER AEROBICS) BUT STILL UNDER A LOT OF STRESS IN MY DAILY LIFE THAT I TRY TO IGNORE. THIS LIFE STYLE HAS BEEN HERE FOR MANY YEARS, WHY THE DIZZY SPELLS NOW? IS IT ANXIETY? HOW DO I FIND OUT? THE OTHER THING IS, I AM WEANING OFF PROGESTERONE 10MG A DAY FOR 6 MONTHS.
Avatar f tn ive had panic attacks and anxiety attacks for at least 21 years, i did develop agraphobia 15 years ago which lasted 4 years, i did in fact get over it, but my question to you is how on earth can anxiety and panic attacks start again when ive just got over the flu, i felt dizzy and really ill during this illness, and since this has gone im a wreck. I so scarred my symptoms are really bad shakes my legs are like jelly all the time, ive got this fear again to go into a shop.
Avatar n tn I feel that you are having panic attacks. It is a form of anxiety attacks. They are sudden, discrete periods of intense anxiety, mounting physiological arousal, fear, stomach problems and discomfort that are associated with a variety of somatic and cognitive symptoms. A panic attack is a response of the sympathetic nervous system (SNS).
Avatar m tn Tomorrow I think I will call her to see if anti-anxiety meds could help. Is it normal for anxiety attacks to continue on this long? It's been a week now and each day seems to get only worse!
Avatar n tn Off my thyroid meds and taking no anti-anxiety meds either. However, I still suffer from vertigo/dizziness(which i still wonder if really is a symptom of anxiety or something else alltogether) headaches, sinus infections constantly, feelings like i am going to pass out or die or have a heart attack or have a seisure or just fall unconscious. Off balance feelings, rubbery legs, feeling like my body is falling or something. WEIRD i know.
Avatar f tn I'm 20 going on 21 & i've had Anxiety for many years but only the symptoms for the past 3. I have Social Anxiety & Panic Attacks.
Avatar m tn Fall back on the fact that you had many years that were either anxiety free or at least anxiety-manageable and know that you were there once before and you will be there again. Take care.
548980 tn?1214826012 The dizzy spells and just the constant stuffiness have caused panic attacks and daily anxiety. I am engaged and trying to plan a wedding and we had to put things on hold, because I just feel "horrible" constantly. Any help would be truly appreciated. I eat well, I drink lots and lots of water, I dont drink alcohol, I do smoke-which i know i need to stop, and im on Nasonex spray, Astelin Spray, Allegra, Antivert (take as needed), Klonopin and Paxel (sp?).
Avatar f tn I am now extremely anxious to drive anywhere and feel that my anxiety is perpetuating my vertigo symptoms of chronic dizziness and unsteadiness. When I get in the car, if I even start to 'space out' for a minute or if my sinuses drain, I feel like I'm going to have the vertigo again. Any help out there would be appreicated. I have seen an ENT, going for Vestibular Rehab consult tomorrow and a Neurologist next week.
