1194973 tn?1385507504 It's weird what I get and I'm not even sure if they are anxiety attacks. My chest starts to hurt really bad and it's like a stabbing pain, and I feel like I can't breathe. Whenever I try to it feels like there's huge bands around my chest that prevent me from taking in a breath. I also start to hyperventilate and shake and just overall feel weak--like I'm getting over a flu. Normally they only happen when I'm upset, but lately they've just been happening out of nowhere.

Avatar f tn I suffer panic/anxiety attacks as well, the only thing that helps is anti-depressants, take a small dose or half to a quarter of the dose if you dont like taking ADs, just enough to take the edge off. I tried stopping ADs after tx, but the attacks were still there. Its now 3 yrs since tx. I take prozac, half tab every 3 days and it helps.

1091003 tn?1257713773 I'm not sure what the cause and effect here is, but as you say, exercise is supposed to reduce stress. Still, if you suffer from anxiety and for some unrelated reason you had some heart palps after/during exercise and then go it in your mind the exercise caused the problem... well it could be that's enough to trigger it. I think you should talk with you doctor about treatment for anxiety and see if that helps.

Now, if I do have an attack with the hot flash, it's not quite as bad and my heart actually slows down. Very strange, but it's better than the panicky feeling. I'm able to sleep now! I forgot how nice it is to actually sleep all night, or to only wake up once or twice.
