Avatar n tn he/she may be able to give her medicine to take just before this anxiety starts. maybe an antianxiety or even phenergan for nausea but leave that up to the doc. i get physically sick from anxiety sometimes but i take xanax and pray it away. i don't take the medicine very often but it's there when i need it. see what her doctor says the sooner the better.

450578 tn?1281870686 I have had anxiety attacks lately and was talking to a friend that said when she was pregnant she started having panic attacks and couldn't take any medication for it either. She said they were so bad she thought she was going to die. She said the only thing that got her through her pregnancy was praying to God. Try that and see. He can get you through anything!

Avatar f tn but the clonidine would help either way... if you truly think you are having anxiety or panic attacks you may need something else, but beware, a lot of them are addictive. i know there are some anti-depressants that are used for anxiety, and a med called buspar, also non-addictive. but DONT ignore it...

Avatar f tn It does sound like classic anxiety and panic attacks. What's funny about anxiety is that you really have no idea when it will strike and it is usually when you feel everything is fine. It sounds like you have had everything checked out thoroughly so have you thought about asking to speak to a therapist? I know it stinks being on meds, but if you need them now, it doesn't mean you will need them forever. My anxiety started after the birth of my 2nd daughter.
Avatar f tn Are any of you mothers taking medicine to help with depression/anxiety/sleep?? I am scared to do thins but I think it's the best.

Avatar f tn Neck soreness is a very common anxiety symptom, but not the throat problem. When you say always, for how long are you talking about? If you have had a sore throat for a while, you should see your doctor. As for natural remedies, it depends on for what. You need a diagnosis to treat with natural medicine just as you do with allopathic medicine.

3688816 tn?1358478897 I am not sure about OTC meds but I am all too familiar with panic attacks and anxiety. I have my sunglasses on my head everywhere I go and an mp3 player in my pocket. It may sound crazy but if I start feeling anxious and cannot hide under my desk and cry I put on my sunglasses and put on some soothing music. I also have a machine that replicates a heart beat of around 70. I pace the floor trying to keep in step with it until my heartbeat slows down.
780253 tn?1237559519 Have had anxiety attacks and panic attacks ever since. If my dose is right I have less anxiety, and if my thyroid goes down I have more, which lets me know I need bloodwork and possibly a tweak in my dose. No one told me at first what a lifelong and stressful illness this would be. I keep having these anxiety attacks and it has crippled my confidence and limited my ambition in some ways.
Avatar f tn Legs being weak is def a symptom of anxiety. You are stressed about your anxiety and you have panick attacks so (as you know) your body goes to flight or fight mode, so does your blood. It goes to the areas your body needs it the most and that is not your legs. So lots of times your legs can get weak because of that. Anxiety hurts girl believe me I know. I have not had the disorder as long as you but I struggle every hour with it. It has gotten better for me if that gives you hope.
Avatar f tn Klonopin doesn't really work as well on an as needed basis as other benzos, because it takes longer to act (and acts longer as well). Benzos aren't sleep medicine, they're anti-anxiety medicine. Given what you say, I'm wondering, is this a general practitioner or a psychiatrist? Because this isn't how klonopin is usually used. Using benzos as needed is better than taking them regularly, because taken regularly they are addictive and hard to stop taking.
6424357 tn?1381333471 I agree with Paxiled completely. I strongly disagree with these statements: "and she says that since they are both ssri's its usually fine to do such a switch." "She told me all the symptoms i listed were anxiety based and are worse due to starting a new medicine and having minor withdrawal from lexapro.
Avatar n tn told me that I was having anxiety attacks and to practice Meditation. I have started this, but need some immediate help. I have had 10-12 episodes per day just from thinking about my daugther getting ready for school to how will I get dinner on the table tonight to people at work upsetting me. My Dr. said she'd put me on medicine if I wanted to, but I don't want to.
19741216 tn?1483565211 But would she prescribe me one of those along with another anti-anxiety medication for long term use? Just a Benzo to help me through the days until the other medicine starts taking affect? Also the anxiety has been making me very irritable and angry.. Please help!!
Avatar f tn I haven't experienced anxiety due to surgical menopause, but I have experienced a lot of anxiety. The Lexapro is a great step; I've been on several different medications at different times and have been able to wean off them when okay. You might look into information on meditation. The data is REALLY impressive for how helpful it is - and it has a cumulative effect.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with anxiety attacks and began taking medicine for them but was later taken off the medicine. I havent had an attack in months now. Im told that these new symptoms are just anxiety attacks but im not sure. Anyone have any ideas?
Avatar n tn What kind of tests did the doctors run? Did they do blood work? Did they give you a cardiogram or an echocardiogram? Did they say anything about a stress test? It can be related to anxiety, but more tests would have to be run in order to rule out the heart. If the tests were completed and everything was normal then it is related to can do that. It is a terrible feeling.
Avatar f tn Until finally the doctor at the er said I have anxiety and panic attacks, very shakey, could not take deep breaths all the time and could hear my heart pounding. He put me on avitan which has really helped me but it s causing blurrness in my vision. I was told that Celexa was a good one to take with less side effects. Please let me know what you think.
