1194973 tn?1385507504 It's weird what I get and I'm not even sure if they are anxiety attacks. My chest starts to hurt really bad and it's like a stabbing pain, and I feel like I can't breathe. Whenever I try to it feels like there's huge bands around my chest that prevent me from taking in a breath. I also start to hyperventilate and shake and just overall feel weak--like I'm getting over a flu. Normally they only happen when I'm upset, but lately they've just been happening out of nowhere.

Avatar f tn I suffer panic/anxiety attacks as well, the only thing that helps is anti-depressants, take a small dose or half to a quarter of the dose if you dont like taking ADs, just enough to take the edge off. I tried stopping ADs after tx, but the attacks were still there. Its now 3 yrs since tx. I take prozac, half tab every 3 days and it helps.
3249571 tn?1347018374 Stress has a myriad of symptoms, the same goes for anxiety. It can range from the most common which is rapid heart rate, headaches, muscle tension, "feeling on the edge", fatigue, insomnia, palpitations, perfuse sweating, hot and cold flashes, hyperventilation and lots more. Psychologically, you may feel that your head is just too crowded with thoughts (and not good ones at that), or irrationality, moodiness, proneto outbursts, etc.
Avatar f tn I mostly have mood swings from the ptsd, the anxiety and panic attacks usually come from fearing cars or 18 wheelers and violence. I already feel an emotional detachment from everyone even my pregnancy seems unreal.
Avatar f tn Can stress cause muscle tiredness like the feeling when you exhaust your muscles when you work out mine are at the elbow the end of my bicep and above my knee that muscle feels tired I feel tires to some could this all be stress related and can stress cause alot of things to go on in the body?
Avatar f tn you need to help her for your stress and anxiety either natural way like acupuncture etc, or through medication, either way I think you've suffered long enough now and need to sort this out...
Avatar m tn Again, the cold shocks the mind out of the anxiety. Here are some tips to prevent the anxiety and or panic attacks. Stay away from caffine, as a rule, it is the MAIN reason people suffer from anxiety disorder and panic disorder. Surround yourself with comedy whenever you start to feel off. Laughter is another technique that can fool the brain into concentrating somewhere else. Keep a herbal tea you made handy when you are out and about.
Avatar n tn 2.7 would put her in shock..i was 2.8 one time..was in icu..
1091003 tn?1257713773 I'm not sure what the cause and effect here is, but as you say, exercise is supposed to reduce stress. Still, if you suffer from anxiety and for some unrelated reason you had some heart palps after/during exercise and then go it in your mind the exercise caused the problem... well it could be that's enough to trigger it. I think you should talk with you doctor about treatment for anxiety and see if that helps.
Avatar n tn I have had anxiety attacks since my early 20's, so I understand where you are coming from. My anxiety attacks come out from nowhere too. I have no idea what triggers them. I seem to have most of them while driving, not a good thing. I almost stopped driving because of that. But a friend helped me to start back driving one mile at a time. Now they happen at any time, I have learned a few breathing excercises to help until my meds kick in.
Avatar n tn Panic attacks will happen sometimes at curtain times or places because its brought on by stress, fear, and worrying. Symptoms for a panic attacks are dizziness, nausea, racing heartbeat, sometimes skin will go numb or tingle, sweating, chest pain, hot or cold flashes, choking feeling, and shaking. If he is nervous at work then he can very well be having panic attacks which will be overlooked. Sometimes a person will have them out of the blue even when theyre not nervous.
Avatar n tn but the symptoms were very dramatic. i honeslty think iv been suffering from post tramatic stress disorder for the past 3 years since that happened to me. my biggest fear is that i will have another panic attack like the first one which was pretty extreme.
Avatar m tn i dont think stress or anxiety would add to dental problems. the only thing my dental anxiety did for my dental health was make me aviod regular check ups which lead to bigger problems which i get treated...yes im one of those people who go to the dds only wheni have pain!!! so did my anxiety make my teeth more unhealthy yes only because i didnt get regual cleanings and filings ect... i however do have valid medical problems which add to dental issues...I have R.A and sojourns disease...
Avatar f tn Does anyone experience panic/ anxiety attacks? Last night I woke from sleeping and very suddenly I felt intensely cold and shivering. The temperature in the house was normal. I grabbed a blanket and tried to warm up to no avail. My teeth were chattering and my extremeties cold and rigid. I had difficulty catching my breath inbetween shivers. The symptoms lasted 30 minutes before I got warm. I'm 20 weeks and just starting to show. My stomach felt cold and hard too.
Avatar m tn i got a blood test within the first few months of my attacks and was told that it was anxiety attacks. However, they have gotten worse and i cant find any cause of my "anxiety"; if i have any. Some times they come out of nowhere, like when im sitting in class doing nothing. I have kept a record of most of my "attacks" and have had 52 of these "attacks" in the past 9 months. The symptoms are all the same.
159785 tn?1276229625 I talked to my doctor, and he prescribed the lowest dose of Xanax to take at bedtime, since he knows I'm under a lot of stress from other health issues too. It doesn't stop the hot flashes, but takes care of the anxiety pretty well. I was having horrible PVC's with the attacks, and they have subsided also. Now, if I do have an attack with the hot flash, it's not quite as bad and my heart actually slows down. Very strange, but it's better than the panicky feeling. I'm able to sleep now!
Avatar n tn i can not shut my eyes without xanax and all day i suffer from severeeeee continuous anxiety . zoloft is safe for pregnancy. u can tk to ur doc about it.otherwise we all will be in ppd. then we can look after our babies and i donno what will to do then. i might suicide :( i cant take it any more.
1348086 tn?1370786785 Also since then I have had multiple anxiety attacks. As a matter of fact I had one last week, yesterday, and today. My psychologist said I was a "catastropher" in that I always assume the worst is happening. My first attack this year I felt like I was short of breath. He told me that the only reason you have an anxiety attack is because you hyperventilate. Is this true? Because today I feel as if my breathing is normal but I am still having attacks and feel short of breath.
Avatar n tn ) i'm wishing all of u suffering from anxiety attacks all the best, and hopefully encouraging u to overcome them by showing u it can be done.
746230 tn?1232925447 The weird thing is I didn't have a label for these attacks then and I didn't find out what they were medically called until 13 years later. My internist explained to me that I suffered from anxiety attacks and that it is hereditery. After talking to different members of my family I found out I wasn't alone. All of my siblings, my mother, some aunts, cousins and one grandmother all suffer or suffered anxiety attacks. And we've all tried different ways to cope with it.
1330691 tn?1275457004 In a strange way I'm relieved because I have been having abnormal things going on with my body and doctors previously did not figure out the hep c. I just new something was not right for between 1-2 years. Panic attacks and anxiety. frequent bouts of mild-severe brain fog, that makes me feel mentally ill. So I hope I can be seen soon. waiting to find out all the info of my specific case seems to be worse than having it.
Avatar n tn When it started, I was tested for thyroid and had EKG done, normal results. Dr. at the time ruled it as anxiety attacks. But the attcks are very short- lasting 30 seconds-1 minute. Attacks feel like: sudden jolt starting in head, quick blurred vision (sec), weird sensation of warmth spreading down my left arm, left side of body, to left leg and out my left foot. Feels like I'm going to faint, but after 12 years, never have.
780253 tn?1237559519 Have had anxiety attacks and panic attacks ever since. If my dose is right I have less anxiety, and if my thyroid goes down I have more, which lets me know I need bloodwork and possibly a tweak in my dose. No one told me at first what a lifelong and stressful illness this would be. I keep having these anxiety attacks and it has crippled my confidence and limited my ambition in some ways.
Avatar f tn I basically lost it and started to suffer from anxiety, panic attacks and depression. Very random. I had every sympton known to man. Went to the ER. Had 3 EKG's, been to 2 eye doctors, blood work, CAT scan, **** tests.. nothing. I was obsessed. I started taking zoloft and within 3 weeks, every sympton I had vanished. I have never had a panic attack since the first day of zoloft. I get side effects sometimes but I dont sweat them. I would be like you were I had those thoughts man.
Avatar m tn Whenever I smoke pot, I get anxiety attacks. I had been smoking it regularly for about 2 years, until last november when they started. I will take a hit, and wait for a little bit. 2-3 minutes after, I get this HORRIBLE feeling in the center of my chest. It feels like someone is holding a gun to my head and counting down until when they shoot me. Then my heart rates spikes up, and starts POUNDING. I can feel it racing, and pounding in my chest, and my throat.
