Avatar n tn If it is fluid in your ear, he may give you a prescription for an antihistamine, Meclizine, antibiotics if it is an infection, and possibly a water pill for the fluid. the diarrhea could be caused by a number of things. If it persists, I would see a doctor. Hope this helps and hope you feel better soon.
1415174 tn?1453243103 Although dizziness or vertigo can be part of the aura, it would help also to have this checked by an ENT specialist to rule out ear or balance issues. There are prescription medications available for vertigo that may help. Take care and do keep us posted.

666921 tn?1254990618 I personally don't take antihistamine but just some advice I read that - antihistamine suppresses the immune system - never thought about it before - they work like steroids - some very good advice on another forum was - do not take antihistamine if you have lyme I am sure some of you already knew this but just thought I would mention it
Avatar n tn How long can i use antihistamine for my daughter aged 7 months to relieve her of the eczema itching.
Avatar n tn I cannot use nose sprays because I have glaucoma. The vertigo last for about four hours and subsides when I take medication, yet after it, I have diarrhea and gas.
Avatar f tn She can also take an over the counter antihistamine like allegra (look for generic name). Then if all else fails, she can try pseudoephedrine (which in the US, you have to ask a pharmacist for but it IS over the counter. They keep it behind the pharmacist counter and will give it to you but they limit how much someone can have as it is used to make a street drug. Fine when used properly). Anyway, those things really helped me and once the vertigo was cleared up, the stomach issues were too.
363281 tn?1643235611 I have been having vertigo/dizziness since January 22, and now, I constantly have head zaps of vertigo and can't bend my head forward without feeling unsteady. Also, my ears ring all the time for over 5 years now. My GP says it is possibly Meneiers Disease. He wants to have a hearing test and tymp test, but he says my ears are full of wax both sides. He has suggested I use Waxsol for removal. Well, I have been using it, but it is not working at all.
Avatar f tn Went from Urgent Care > ER > ENT > Neurologist. Dealing with vertigo for about a month now. But when I have my attacks now I get these symptoms: Dizzy  Feet sinking in floor  Chest heavy more so right side  Feels like ring around head  Jaw is weak  Frequent urination  Head pressure  Little shocks back/neck  Fatigue  Chest sore  Sour taste in mouth  I am thinking when my back and neck hurt is when I feel the most dizzy.

1679858 tn?1346765181 My "first" symptom was the feeling that someone had their finger in my left ear along with associated hearing loss. I say "first" as it was the one that started my hunt for a diagnosis. At first they said atypical Ménière's disease. Atypical because it is usually bilateral. They did an MRI to rule out an acoustic neuroma. They missed the chiari. They did however note fluid in my left mastoid. About 4 months later the vertigo started.

Avatar n tn Wow lots of posting on this Ear Pressure Problem, I been suffering for many years Thought maybe it was from taking the Medication Adderall I was told by my doctor that maybe the nerve that goes from your brain stem to some of the nerves into the ear canal has an affect when taking stimulants it may cause the problem? Tried going off the meds seemed to help a little..
Avatar f tn Interesting! I have had Eustachian tube dysfunction myself. It's quite terrible. The worst part for me was the vertigo that I got. I literally can't move when it happens, I'm so dizzy and nauseated. I have 'flare ups' of it. I get fullness in the ear too and muffled hearing. The fatigue for me is just that i feel so bad I have to lay with my eyes closed. And I wonder if your neck and arm pain is from tensing?
Avatar f tn Hi, my dermatologist has prescribed me a antihistamine for my itching and wants me to use it for 4-6 weeks. The med is called hydroxzine. I am concerned because i never heard of anyone using antihistamine for that long. Will this severly affect my liver? Please help!
Avatar f tn Since then I have avoided taking any antihistmaines except for Benadryl. I did take an occasional Claritin but it seems like every time I did anything I break out more. My allergist told me to try Claritin tabs instead of gel caps but I took one after having my allergy shot and I broke out in hives again. Now all the pollen is out and my eyes are really itchy and red and I have a hard time seeing at work. I tried taking Atarax last night to see if that would help more than Benadryl.
Avatar f tn not life or death type allergies, but sneezing, itchy nose and eyes, headaches. I take a one a day antihistamine to deal with it. .. but it says on the box not to take if pregnant. Im only 7 weeks, and have stopped taking them... but my allergies are horrible at the moment. All the sneezing is not helping with my morning sickness. During my last pregancey my symptoms actually went away but not this time... my question is can i take my antihistamine?
4696380 tn?1359307042 Extreme vertigo was what I had during my first major relapse. Of course, there are other reasons for vertigo. It's more frequently an inner ear problem. Either way, have someone pick you up an otc motion sickness med- like Dramamine or Bonine. It won't make the dizziness go away, but it will help with nausea. By the way, welcome! Have you been diagnosed?
Avatar f tn while i was in the hospital they had me on Mag, as well as pain meds and antihystimine for a sever migrane..... since i have left the hospital i have been experiencing severe dizziness, a tingling sensation over my whole body... mainly concentrated in my face and head as well as my chest..as well as spotty vision.... when i lay down and close my eyes i feel as though i am falling or sinking like i am still druged.
921053 tn?1245180795 Hi there...I have had vertigo for several months now and the doctors cannot explain medically why this is happening to me. An MRI shows that I have Chiari Type 1 with a 9mm herniation. The neurosurgeon says that the vertigo is not related to the Chiari and does not seem to be concerned at all because I don't have "frequent and severe" headaches...The ENT says to go to vestibular rehab (PT) ...
Avatar f tn Hi thanks for the explanation. I did have severe vertigo last year and saw an ENT that said my vertigo was not an inner ear issue he suggested then it was neurological in nature but further investigation is yet to determine where my vertigo stems from. I'm often lightheaded. But I also feel like when I'm standing doing something I feel like things are moving around me. Strange I know but it doens't happen often enough to really bother me yet.
Avatar n tn DSM-IV does not classify medications. Coricidin is an antihistamine, not a mental health medication.
