My doctors are very difficult to get ahold of, unfortunately and I have a very important question. How can I cure my yeast infection WITHOUT USING MONISTAT OR A SUPPOSITORY? Last time I used monistat, it was horrible. I experienced intense internal itching and irritation. I think maybe it was too strong or I'm allergic to an ingredient in it. I've already been tested for stds/sti's and they all came back negative so this is definetly a yeast infection.
The other development is my tongue is white like yeast but tested negative. I have been on 2 rounds of antibiotics and yeast infection pills, mouth rinse. Still there. I have been married for 22 years but I did get an STD test which was negative. Any answers will be appreciated.

Antibiotics kill the good bacteria that help fight yeast infections so that is probably your problem. Try eating yogurt with live cultures everyday to see if that helps balance your body back out. I was treated with ceftriaxone and Doxycycline but my wife was only treated with 100mg of Doxycycline twice a day for 7 days. She was not diagnosed. Is it possible that Doxycycline will cure Gonorrhea on its own. She felt some burning in her urethra but only after treatment. Her Dr. thought it may be just a yeast infection from strong antibiotics. What are the chances her complete uranylisis will show that she is negative for Gonorrhea?
You really do need to see a doctor. Fishy odor usually goes with bacterial vaginosis, not a yeast infection, and yeast infections usually have the cottage cheese discharge. Burning could be from a UTI, but it could also just be from the skin being irritated (urine is somewhat caustic, and will burn when it comes in contact with broken skin). If it is BV, yogurt won't help you (and it's not a good idea to insert it in the vagina).

Your mom is probably right. Thrush can be very painful before the obvious symptom of a white coating on the tongue shows up. Try taking acidopholus capsules. That's the active ingredient in yogurt that helps with any kind of yeast overgrowth, which is what thrush is - yeast. They're available at any pharmacy or health food store. Stay away from highly seasoned foods in the meantime. I had thrush after a round of IV antibiotics and anything with pepper was intolerably painful!
Vance, thanks for your help. Would the flagyl treatment not have cured trich and BV if I did infact have them? My doctor said chlamydia would be impossible as no known strain of chlamydia is resistant to both azithromycin AND doxycycline. Why won't this go away! :( I was kinda hoping it was just a yeast infection after all the antibiotics I've taken, but it doesn't usually cause green discharge? I am at my wits end I just want it to go away!
