523728 tn?1264621521 The American Cancer Society reports that "[t]here is no reliable scientific evidence that ****** therapy is effective in treating cancer, and the principles behind it are not widely accepted by the medical community. It is not approved for use in the United States.
Avatar n tn Google it. There are several sites that just give drug label info. Wikipedia is a good starting point, as it usually is linked to the other label sites. Look for lines within the label info that refer to liver or hepatic. If there is any knowledge that a drug can harm the liver it will be on the label. You can easily come across a line on some drug labels that warns about treating patients with "hepatic impairment" (means liver damage).
1747349 tn?1332683680 The preferred practice is to use so-called "tripple therapy" involving three different antibiotics. The selction of the antibiotics vary (H-Pylori replication is inhibited by many different antibiotics), however the general idea is to attack three different mechanisms used in bacterial replication. Preferably the antibiotics come from different classes.
Avatar m tn I used heavy dose of antibiotics in feb 2009 as my doctor misdiagonised my normal fever as malaria and treated me with powerful antibiotics. From the second day, i had bulged tongue with huge white coating , severe eye problems, breathing problems, severe body pains, joint pains, etc.. I faced all those problems for almost 3 months. But now the only thing that depresses me is about eyes. Till today i think mine are Eye floaters but today accidentally i read about yeast in eyes.
Avatar f tn Soo..my doctor called this morning and told me I have BV..they said I need to start antibiotics ASAP which I picked up tonight, but I researched it and it can cause preterm labor & 2nd trimester miscarriage...I am freaking out! Avatar m tn I told my girlfriend I had urethritis but that the cause was unkown and that the usual procedure was to be treated with antibiotics, she ended up taking 1 gr of zithro but also took cipro for another bacteria (non std) that was found by her gynecologist. For the past days I have itching and pain in my penis and pain between rectum and scrotum, also difficulty maintaining an erection and somehow erratic peeing. I have not been tested again but I am pretty sure I will have Wbc if tested.
706949 tn?1228923298 I take it your reference article is in Wikipedia. From what I've seen there on heart subjects there is a lot of "good stuff", or so it appears. I understand too that some (much?) of what's there is from voluntary contirbuitons. That said, I recommend you discuss with the prescribing doctor and let s/he know you've see such-and-such as a point-of-reference ... it may even be a good idea to print out the material and take it with you.
Avatar n tn Three days after, I felt a slight tingling in my urethra. I went to my local STD clinic, and they treated me with (2) kinds of antibiotics (a single-dose pill and some sort of solution). I also submitted blood and urine. Five days later, all tests came back negative (herpes, HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea). Ten days later, symptoms persisted, and worsened with swollen and sore testicles.
Avatar m tn Hi, I've been having chronic pain behind my left eye now for over a year, it's not constant but at certain times it flares up and causes me agony, it also hurts a lot first thing after I wake up. My left nostril is also blocked maybe 60% of the time while my right one is fine. My neck on the left side also sometimes flares up but doesn't hurt too much. Besides those I feel fine, no cold feeling or anything.
Avatar m tn Before my TURP (nine years ago) and my prostatectomy (one nerve spared, seven years ago), my urologist blamed prostatitis for the pain and prescribed antibiotics, which provided some (but not complete) relief. What are the possible causes of the pain (even more severe now) without a prostate gland?
Avatar m tn Hello, On this cut, apply topical antibiotic cream like Neosporin and take oral antibiotics. Also avoid intercourse and masturbation for a few days when you take these antibiotics. Also get your blood sugar levels checked as diabetes is responsible for delayed wound healing. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn I think the pain you are referring to could be due to orchitis or Epididymitis. Antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs are useful in the treatment of these conditions. I would suggest that you visit a urologist for further assistance on treatment for this. Best.
Avatar f tn A couple days ago my bladder just started burning, so i started drinking lots of water with d-mannose, marshmallow root and horsetail, my symptoms have improved, burning is gone but I still have pressure in my bladder. I don't want to take antibiotics because it causes so much other problems in my body like chronic yeast infections. I seem to have chronic bladder problems, like frequent urination, bladder spasms, my urine samples usually come back negative.
Avatar m tn But given different benchmarks as below 1. Wikipedia and body.com say ars temp can be mild but freedom health says ars fever are high temperature 2. Wikipedia and many websites say acute hiv symptoms occur 2-4 weeks after exposure but body.com says ars can occur upto 2 months. I agree that symptoms are variable. Shall anyone give clarity on above.
Avatar m tn Can anyone point me in the right direction? I was given antibiotics for both chlamydia and Gonorrhea (preemptively) but neither antibiotic has helped. The discomfort is enough to keep me up at night at times and it's becoming a major distraction and effecting my quality of life, sex drive, etc.
Avatar f tn I looked it up and it could be a yeast/fungal infection -- are you on antibiotics? Or it could be a vitamin deficiency, all according to that renowned medical authority (not!) wikipedia. Or it could be other things. I'd call my doctor, if I were you, tell the nurse and see what s/he says, or go to urgent care. [I'm not medically trained, so don't rely on me.] Let us know what you find out ...
