This is what I found on womenshealth . gov Most medicines should not affect the results of a home pregnancy test (HPT). This includes over-the-counter and prescription medicines, including birth control pills and antibiotics. After brief googling, basically because the test is only looking for the presence of HCG, antibiotics shouldn't effect it. Howver, one person in one forum said to look up your Rx just to be sure.

so the questions is can you take antibiotics while in treatment? i have no allergies to antibiotics. i go for my 2 week labs this friday and i have an appointment with my NP next friday.....sidenote: i feel like i have an infection.

s and I believe that it is not getting irritated while on antibiotics. Could it be that I have some bacteria (other than H. Pylori) in my stomach that irritates my vagus nerve and that is destroyed by the antibiotics? If that is the case it slowly comes back again. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon or does anyone have any insight as to what might be happening?

Okay so im scheduled to get my tooth pulled in 2 weeks, my dentist prescribed me 2 weeks worth of antibiotics to take because the medicine that they usually use to numb a patient getting a tooth pulled is not good for the baby so they supplement that for antibiotics, I just wanted to know if any other mom evr took antibiotics while preg?? I guess because I'm a FTM I'm really nervous but I just don't want nothing to hurt my baby like I just need clarify...

I was on antibiotics for 20 days while on the pill but i was having unprotected sex and got my period that month a week later i decided to take two test they both were negative but i thought maybe it was too early so i continued taking the pills.

2 and nothing showed up. Also must be the various hormones going on in my body. I am not on any hcg products- i am on buserelin and menopur but guess these must have caused the line. Just wondering have any of you done a similar thing? we have had sex 2-3 weeks ago but I did take a test on scan day and was neg so it has to be these other products causing a positive test. Anyway second scan wed and have been told to carry on with meds.

I am on Depo been for about a year and was recently on antibiotics.. Had sex during that timeframe and now my stomach has been nauseated,tight and slightly crampy. Decreased appetite and slight constipation. Not due for my depo shot until Nov. 7th. Have some dark brown discharge for 2 days. I would think it's a yeast infection too for sure. I get them while on antibiotics too. Antibiotics kill off any bacteria in your body good or bad and there's a good bacteria in vaginas to keep them healthy and the antibiotics removed the good bacteria. Check with your dr to see if you can use a yeast infection otc treatment.

My question really pertained to getting tested for stds while on antibiotics. It was late at night, doctor was closed and needed a little insight. For those who are wondering, Doctor confirmed waiting a month after finishing antibiotics to get tested. By then, if contracted std is treatable with antibiotics, you'll probably be cleared. Get tested anyway just to be sure and encourage your partners to get cleared.

My period was due on 03/14 and it still has not arrived. I have taken two pregnancy tests which came out negative. I haven't had sex since March of 2013 but my significant other and I messed around on 03/05 and I grinded naked along his private area where there was some pre-***. Okay,I have been on birth control for 4 years now. My last menstral cycle started on July 3, 2013, then I started by birth control like normal on July 7, 2013. But my doctor put me on antibiotics which I took July 9-16, and when I googled the type of antibiotic it said it could make my birth control ineffective. Birth control is the only thing I use for protection against pregnancy.
