I would wait to see what your next cycle is like after you are done treating with the antibiotics and have overcome what you were sick with. Hope you are feeling better with that by the way. If you are still irregular for a couple of cycles after this one, then do see your doctor to discuss.
Does anyone know, if breakthrough ovulation did occur while on the pill, if it would occur around the normal time (the middle of the cycle)?
I know that the purpose of the pill is to prevent ovulation and that even though breakthrough ovulation does occur it's very rare, I just need to know, if it were to occur, around when in a person's cycle it would? After missing a pill or two? In the beginning? In the middle? The month after skipping alot of pills?
Ok well to let u know sum info about my cycle i run anwhere from a 28 day cycle to a 39 day cycle my last period was july 20th so today that makes me on day 37 of my cycle for this cycle i have had sex on july 28th and 31st and aug 11th then on aug 16th i got sick and ended gettin admitted to the hospital they took urine test it was negative but doctor asked me if there was a gud chance i could be pregnant and whaa day i last had sex i told him aug 11th so when i was upstairs the nurse told ask
Okay so im scheduled to get my tooth pulled in 2 weeks, my dentist prescribed me 2 weeks worth of antibiotics to take because the medicine that they usually use to numb a patient getting a tooth pulled is not good for the baby so they supplement that for antibiotics, I just wanted to know if any other mom evr took antibiotics while preg?? I guess because I'm a FTM I'm really nervous but I just don't want nothing to hurt my baby like I just need clarify...

But I didn't have unprotected sex while taking the antibiotics. I haven't had sex since two days before I started the amoxycilin. I'm just wondering whether anyone thinks that for some reason the sperm from precum survived a few days after unprotected sex until my BCP became ineffective lol.
Sounds like it's lyme related to me, lyme disease is known to cause skin sensations like "tingly" feelings although i've never read about one like you have. I don't want to scare you - but that sounds like it could also be related to a co-infection you received during the tick bite. However, symptoms can still develop while on doxycycline treatment as i've also had many new symptoms develop while on it.
Antibiotics are probably the least of your concerns as far as meds go while pregnant. Ive had uti's while pregnant...antibiotics took care of it. I had a bad tooth infection and had to take IV antibiotics as well as pills. I can't just take any antibiotic. Because I'm allergic to penicillin anything related to it or derived from it. If it ends in cillin.... its a no no for me so I have had to have some pretty funky antibiotics during all 3 of my pregnancies. .
Hi Kate, antibiotics can definitely effect 'oral' contraceptives but i am unaware of antibiotics being a reason for periods to come mid cycle.....if your talking about having one of the implant forms of contraceptives, i would suggest you consult with your doctor about your irregular cycle.
I am 24 yr old with a very inactive sexual life. I had taken antibiotics (Cefspan) and Transamin (Tranexamic acid) thrice a day for 6 days for my ear bleeding as prescribed by the doctor. I had unprotected sex (used withdrawal method only) only on the 15th and 16th day of my 30-40 days cycle which was also my 5th day of antibiotics. I have normal blood flow during periods but the date is usually irregular. Now i still don't have my period.
Has anyone ever been prescribed the antibiotic Clindamiacin while pregnant. I went to the emergency dentist yesterday morning BC I was up allll night before with a horrible toothache. Well I guess I have a slight infection in my wisdom tooth and it needs to be extracted asap but he wanted me to take the med first for a few days. Its on my sheet of same meds from my doctor and both dentist and pharmacist said it was fine but I'm so Leary! I guess infection is more harmful.

If you are on the birth control pill, though, penicillin can make that less effective. You should use a back-up method for the duration of your penicillin use and for a week following.
Idk what to tell ya but Implant bleeding isn't dark red. It does sound like your period is coming on. And since your antibiotics cancelled out your birth control it's very possible that your period will be irregular this time. If you are trying to get pregnant then stop the birth control and if you are not then you need to use back up birth control like condoms on days you take antibiotics. That's all te advice I can give ya!
I took keflex and it made me break out in hives due to my pregnancy some antibiotics are safe during pregnancy that's one of them
