antibiotics

314892 tn?1264623903 I have found some interviews/articles by Dr. M and I am so impressed. He sometimes uses Benicar along with antibiotics. This is not a doctor who will dismiss me. The endo assured me. I friend of a friend has been to this practice and has been very pleased. So, I am almost there. I am just waiting for them to call me back to get an appointment. I left a message yesterday afternoon, so I suspect I will hear from them today. I hope it is ok to post this article: http://www.carrollcountytimes.
Avatar f tn It is a member of tetra cycline group of antibiotics and used for treatment of a variety of infections, including some of the STD's like Chlamydia. But its brand name Vibramycin, I have seen being prescribed for some common infections .
Avatar n tn According to U.S.D.A. apparently yes, there are traces of antibiotics in the flesh and eggs from poultry. Their studies show no observable effect ( no acute effect for allergies and no chronic effects for cancer and other diseases) I personally do not accept industry or gov't studies at face value. In my experience I understand that Big Business comes first. The citizens/consumers come second. You be the judge The formula used by the U.S.D.
Avatar m tn My LLMD also pulses and uses a combination of antibiotics. I've been happy with the approach, but as JackieCalifornia notes not all doctors pulse. I think it worked well for me because I tend to have (and especially at the beginning had) strong Herx reactions, so the pulsing broke up the severe aftermath of the antibiotics. Personally (and I'm not medically trained) I think it is more important to be on combination treatment than it is to take the antibiotics daily vs. pulsing.
Avatar f tn m scared to use it . And antibiotics really never worked for me , is there anyone who uses boric acid supplements and had a healthy pregnancy?
Avatar f tn Have you called your ob for antibiotics yet? To help ease the pressure naturally you can go to the drug store and pick up a neti pot it uses a warm water solution to unclog your sinuses.
Avatar m tn n the past 3-4 weeks I was given different antibiotics (cetriaxone, Azithromycin, Doxcycline, Bactrim and desoximetasone cream) for a urethritis. I had a burning sensation in my urethra, however no discharge. Tests for chlamydia/gonorrhea were both negative. It's been about two weeks since my last dose (Bactrim DS).
Avatar n tn Have you heard of alternate uses for Armidex? I have endometriosis stage 4, I had 2 surgeries in 2006, and my surgeon is putting me on Armidex to try to control the pain. Is this a common use for this medicine?
Avatar n tn My husband had his widom teeth removed over a year ago. He is fighting a cronic infection in his upper right socket area. The bugger just won't heal and stays infected. His surgen has looked at it over a dozen times and just says he doesn't know what it is. Every new batch of antibiotics gives my husband hives or rashes and he has to discontinue use. He brushes, flosses, water-piks, and uses the prescribed oral rinse. He has been to an ear, nose & throat doctor as well.
Avatar n tn He had his first strep throat at 8 months. He has had tubes in his ears twice. He is on antibiotics several times each year. He is on his 4th antibiotic in the last 9 weeks (they just aren't working). He had his tonsils removed two years ago and still gets strep two or three times a year. We have gone to an allergist - he has no real allergies to speak of, only a mild dust allergy. We have taken care of that by removing carpets, hypoallergenic bedding, etc.
Avatar n tn He uses a neti pot and saline solution to clean the sinuses, stays well hydrated, and uses antibiotics when necessary. If you have the aching teeth, a bottle of pills in the drug store called "cold medication" helps a great deal. There is a daytime and nightime formulation. If you check the dental forums, you will find references to sinus infections and failed root canals, and tooth extractions.
Avatar n tn I appreciate the antibiotics, but they haven't done much for me either. But have you tried low percentage retin-a cream? This may be a solution for you. Applied at night, the thin layer of cream can do wonders in a matter of weeks, and over several months, there's a big improvement. I've used it as an acne treatment, and my 50+ age mother uses it for acne, wrinkles, and overall skin appearance. She looks fabulous for her age!
529862 tn?1216607670 You need to review the problem with your doctor. You may need antibiotics or other treatment to clear up the problem.
Avatar f tn She does need to see a doctor though and start antibiotics if it is indeed bacterial vaginosis.
Avatar f tn Sinusitis is really very easy to deal with if you understand a couple of basic points. First, you don't want to kill only SOME of the bacteria. Different antibiotics kill different bacteria. When you take one, you kill only some and the others take over their space leaving a fauna that is more difficult to kill. Second, all sinuses have fungus. These guys insulate the bacteria from your immune system and keep them out of reach of the antibiotics. Antibiotics won't kill fungus.
1718647 tn?1437510739 It is doubtful that any regular physician would recommend or even believe in this therapy. Standard medicine only uses antibiotics. Once you are chronic, they generally do not work. I tried everything, even a cocktail of antibiotics, which came at great cost, little indication that it woukd be effective, no information as to how long that treatment would take, and only served to make me much sicker than I already was; and I was very sick!
Avatar m tn Im 22 currently dealing with chronic sinusitis, any idea how to cure it faster? I've had it for over a month, it gets worse in the evening (pressure above nose, and weird pressure feeling in the back of my head also my right occipital lymp node is swollen) ill get occasional head twitches, tingles, and short lasting pain..I had a head/brain scan done 2 weeks ago showed normal..my current doc said to take his prescribed Claritin, and I'm doing that now.
Avatar f tn s about 6 months ago, I am unable to take oral antibiotics without some serious side effects, such as diahhrea and a lot of abdominal pain. Has anyone had any luck with other types of antibiotics or do you go straight for the IV antibiotics? I also have Type 2 diabetes, so infection sends my blood glucose way high.
Avatar n tn I go to a professional barber who uses clean equipment. These red bumps are not itchy and dont have any pus. The bumps look like acne with no pus. I wash my hair daily. I havent used any new products. Are these red bumps due to scalp folliculitis? What is it? Is there any treatment? I like to keep my hair short(military). Any advice would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn i was recently introduced to meleleuca products,n they are fantastic! it got rid of all the eczema rash, uses the pure oil, then the RENEW lotion,it is the best thing ive uses so far,it doesnt thin the skin out klike most cortisone creams the doc usually prescribes,my question is this...although the rash n itch has gone away, the awful pimple like blisters have not, does anyone know what i could use to rid of it?
Avatar f tn It really makes me angry becasue I pushed for antibiotics 25 years ago and no one would even test me. Now I find it may have easily been taken care of, had I recieved treatment then..
Avatar f tn I was wondering if anyone has had any heart rhythm problems attributed to antibiotics. I have pvcs/pacs, all tests, ekg, echo has come back completely normal. Im just worried about taking a new medication,, afraid it may cause the palpitations to be worse, better yet cause a dangerous arrythmia!! Any advice would be great!!
Avatar f tn What antibiotics are you taking? Did your dr prescribe these antibiotics for bronchitis knowing that you are pregnant?
