ok thank you i have now went to a dr and he doesnt even know what it could be.. i have gotten drops and some ointment to put in it and he cleaned it out but the fact that even a dr doesnt know what it is makes me extremely nervous about it...

Get her to a vet.....no one likes doctors, but that is what you have to do. Until you have a diagnosis, you do not know what you are treating....it sounds like a urinary tract infection, but there could be other things too that REQUIRE ANTIBIOTICS. Please don't go the natural route and create a guinea pig out of your dog. Your dog needs YOU to take the best care of her...she trusts you. Please to the vet...for your pup's sake.

s about 6 months ago, I am unable to take oral antibiotics without some serious side effects, such as diahhrea and a lot of abdominal pain. Has anyone had any luck with other types of antibiotics or do you go straight for the IV antibiotics? I also have Type 2 diabetes, so infection sends my blood glucose way high.

Right there with you. I only have a few weeks left to but i am suppose to b on bed rest and its driving me crazy. Just wondering if there are any people here that experience arrythmias when taking antibiots or inhaling any type of household chemicals. I have a dentist appointment and have periodontis and know that I will have to have an antibiotic given to me. I am afraid that it will throw my heart into a chaotic rythym that could drop me.
