ish but as soon as I sit in the car [passenger or driving] I start feeling worsening of symptoms - pain/nausea/depression/light headed !! I am not and never have been nervous/anxious about driving [I used to be a courier driver] - any thoughts?

I've finally broken down and taken the antibiotics. Temp was 100.2 today. 10 days of azythromyocin. 1 pill a day. Dr. said its safe for pregnancy. I'm also taking probiotics to counteract yeast. Has anyone else been in this situation? Was your pregnancy and baby okay? I'm so worried.

I take a class b medicine that i took thru my first pregnancy and now this pregnancy. Everything is fine. I did take the z pack with my first as well. I got pneumonia when i was 18weeks pregnant.

s why at every ob visit they test your urine for one. Antibiotics are very low risk during pregnancy. With my first pregnancy I was on them 6 times.

Your doctor is aware of your pregnancy and some antibiotics are perfectly safe during pregnancy. Best to work with your doctor and follow their guidance. Wishing you a quick recovery and easy rest of your pregnancy.

I can't say for sure because there are different types of antibiotics and different dosages, etc. But I can tell you that in my last pregnancy I needed to take antibiotics for a tooth problem and it didn't seem to effect that pregnancy. My son just turned 1 yr and seems prefect to me. ;-) I was really worried about it too but I didn't really have a choice. I needed the meds. Thankfully everything turned out well.

Yes, my Dr gave me antibiotics for uti...I have had 2 so far during my pregnancy...yuck!

Most antibiotics are safe during pregnancy. If you told your primary Dr that you were pregnant they would've chosen meds safe for you. I've been on them twice so far and I'm almost 29 weeks and baby is great.

m not sure about azithromycin there are safe antibiotics but not all are safe to take during pregnancy. Do not take anything without asking or seeing your Dr.

It is on the safe list from my obgyn. I also researched it. Its fine in pregnancy. I'm just worried about a severe reaction that will cause bigger problems for me and my baby - throat swelling, etc.things that are highly unlikely. That's why my husband is irritated.

Kflex is safe- two antibiotics to AVOID in pregnancy would be- deoxycycline (spell?) or tetracycline, which are known to have risks. Otherwise- if the dr prescribing the antibiotics isn't your OB be sure to let your OB know that you were prescribed a new medication, they may have their own preference of what you should and should not take- and always ask the pharmacist if you are unsure about any medication..

Most antibiotics are safe to take during pregnancy, and that is one of them. The risk of am active infection is much worse. Take the antibiotics.

(I was on the pill for four years, took a round of antibiotics around the first of March that apparently interfered with my pills)...on top of being hospitalized twice with morning sickness, every bad thing possible with my husband, the other kids and their thousand activities, and work...I just stay in tears. I try to see it as a blessing, but I always end up thinking I didn't want this. I havent told anyone yet ...I don't want to here all the negativity so I have no one to talk to...
