antibiotics

Avatar n tn Would your local chemist not loan you the amount needed to see you over till your Dr comes back? If I ever run out of meds I ring my chemist and he gives me what I need. When I get my next script from my Dr the chemist simply takes back what he loaned me from the amount.
Avatar m tn I live in Germany and this is the first time I have been prescribed antibiotics in Germany. The dentist, the chemist and my partner all told me not the eat or drink milk products whilst taking the antibiotics. They are Clindamycin AbZ 300 mg. I have spoken to my family in the UK and searched the internet and can nothing about taking milk based products and antibiotics together. Is this a German specialty? Please can you offer some information.

1820473 tn?1344980763 if its itchy it may be thrush, and that can be due to the hormones when your pregnant, just go to the chemist and they will give you something to use thats safe during pregnancy, probably canneston (sp), if its not itchiy an increase of vaginal discharge is quite normal, I had it everyday while pregnant
Avatar m tn I currently take Amiodarone 200mg a day, Metoprolol 100mg a day, Prilosec OTC 40mg a day. I have occasional Atrial Fibrillation. I was put on the Metoprolol in 2004 (my dosage is much lower now) and the Amiodarone in July 2008. I suffer greatly from panic attacks and extreme anxiety. My doctor prescribed Zoloft for me at 25mg a day for two weeks, then 50mg a day thereafter. He knows all the meds I currently take, of course.
Avatar f tn What antibiotics are you taking? Did your dr prescribe these antibiotics for bronchitis knowing that you are pregnant?
Avatar f tn My boyfriend suggested that for the bad smell i have to go to the chemist and want some pills to prevent that smell,so is the good suggestion or wat?
Avatar f tn I really would hate to have to go through another set of antibiotics while im pregnant. My next doctor appointment is not until Feb. 28th. Could it really be another infection or just the Ph balance? No brown or pink color.. just irritating itchiness.. also, my symptomes have decreased. A normal sign? Or should i be concerned. Last appointment was @ 10 weeks.
Avatar n tn They are bands designed for travel sickness, you can get them online or at any chemist/pharmacy. I felt they didn't do anything for my morning sickness, they just irritated my wrists! But it is worth a go, some women have noticed a difference.
Avatar f tn Tomorrow I am starting a new course of cindamycin hydrochloride and when I went to the pharmacist I was advised by the chemist to take a pro biotic which contains 12.5 billion lactobacillus acidophilus (NCFM) organisms and 12.5 billion ifidobacterium lactis organisms. I was just wondering.. if my cindamycin tablets are supposed to kill bacteria.. wouldn't that also kill any pro biotic I might take? Is it worth taking the probiotic or should I not worry about it?
Avatar m tn Thrush can also present itself after a course of antibiotics. You can buy from the chemist an oral gel called Daktarin if you have Thrush in the mouth. If you feel uncomfortable down below, with itching and/or soreness a one dose oral capsule called Fluconazole should alleviate any Thrush. You can buy this from the chemist without a prescription for £10 or get a prescription from the doctor for it.
Avatar n tn During the last few days of the fever i noticed some spots/rashes under the foreskin of my penis. I assumed it could have been due to the antibiotics which i had been taking, after a few days they vanished ever since i kkep getting these rashes kind of things and now i see lots of wrinkles as well as cuts on my penis. Avatar f tn For about two years now I've been taking 20 occasionally 40 Mersyndol or Dolased caplets each day. Probably have a couple of days off a week. I've been so ashamed that I've felt dependent on this OTC medicine. Really ashamed that I would go to about 30 different chemists around Sydney so I could do the rounds. Such a bonus if they sold in boxes of 40, didn't help that I was able to buy online and just claim I was too busy to get to a chemist and I only used for my back ache.
Avatar f tn I had std,HIV and full blood work done and all came back normal. Could the antibiotics have caused this or would it be something more sinister? Thanks anybody.
Avatar n tn I have been getting chronic tonsilitus for the last 4 years. I get it every 2-3 months, and am usually perscribed an antibiotic by a doctor, and begin feeling better within 24-48 hours after treatment. I got it again today [this time it had been exactly 4 months since the last infection] but this time it was directly after getting over a cold that had my throat sore, nose running, and had me coughing.
Avatar m tn Flagyl can cause nausea and diarrhea. Many of the antibiotics do. C. diff also causes nausea and diarrhea, so it may be difficult to figure out.
Avatar f tn It sounds like you have a UTI (urinary tract infection). If not treated, it could become much worse. You need antibiotics. You can also stop at the drug-store/chemist and ask for some 'urinary alkalyniser' / in Oz it's there's a good one called "Ural". That will help the burning to go away, drink plenty of water. And definately go and get some antibiotic therapy. This is an acute infection and needs to be treated soon.
329165 tn?1515471990 day and night Cordoral to clear it. But my voice went all funny on Monday night and now I still don't have my voice back! I have done the egg-flip and throat lollies and almost finished with the Cordoral's! Now what?
Avatar f tn Hi everyone Haven't been around for a while. My doctor is being pretty weird and making me do igenex tests every single 2 months and doesn't prescribe any meds unless I do ... Thing is if I still have symptoms he should still treat so he's just being a money maker I think for now ?
Avatar f tn im talking about preventing a pregnancy not ending one!
Avatar f tn Also if the bladder infection that they gave you a strong antibiotic for then it is possible that it is a side effect from the antibiotics. I would say call your doctor and they might be able to prescribe you something more effective for it.
Avatar f tn Yep sounds like thrush (yeast infection). All you need to do to treat it is to get an antifungal from the chemist. They are generally available over the counter so you don't need to go to the doctor. You can get a once only tablet (fluconazole - Diflucan) or you can use a cream or pessary such as canesten (clotrimazole). It is very common to get thrush after antibiotics as they kill off all the good bacteria and allow there to be an overgrowth of Candida (the yeast that causes thrush).
Avatar n tn Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Hope it helps.
Avatar f tn I'm 39yrs old, 14.5 weeks on and I've been told I have a UTI. I started antibiotics on Friday but I feel so ill! My glands hurt, my head is pounding and I can't move. Does anyone know if it's just the infection or my age or the antibiotics? Any tips on how to make this better would be much appreciated. Thank you!!!
