Avatar n tn How recently did she have these teeth pulled? Was she put on a course of antibiotics after the dentistry was done? It sounds to me like she may have a deep-seated oral infection that, even though the bad teeth were removed is still present and causing the canker sores. Where are the canker sores on her mouth? Are they inside on the gums or oral mucosa or are they on the lips, more toward the outside?
Avatar f tn It is on the safe list from my obgyn. I also researched it. Its fine in pregnancy. I'm just worried about a severe reaction that will cause bigger problems for me and my baby - throat swelling, etc.things that are highly unlikely. That's why my husband is irritated.
Avatar n tn Elimination of the source of infection is essential, instead or relying on antibiotics. Antibiotics is generally indicated for short=term use, not for long-term cure. Seeing a dentist is advised.
Avatar f tn My recollection of the information I read when my husband was going through the evaluation process for his transplant is that you will need to be sober 6 months before they will even put you on the transplant list. Once on the list, if you start drinking again you will be removed from the list and a new waiting period will begin again to ensure your sobriety. So it is very important that you not drink - not even a beer. Ask your doctor if he is a hepatologist or gastroenterologist.
Avatar f tn Look for a dentist who offers Sedation Dentistry. They are experts at dealing with patients who have the kind of fear you have. They'll take good care of you.
Avatar f tn My son is very strong n hates his hair being cut, eyes being checked n teeth being cleaned. Now has cavaties...anyone have their kids have sediative dentistry. He needs an hour n half worth of work n think might be least traumatic if he is fully sedated? I have no experience.
Avatar n tn When dentists buy the necessary technology to do NM dentistry they take training to go with it. That training alone is not adequate to treat all the the TMJ problems out there. This has been my experience. These so called TMJ problems are more complex than a lot of dentists realize and so not all problems are addressed with one technique. Just look for an experienced TMJ clinician, ie, ask a lot of questions. Hope that helps.
Avatar m tn In some parts of the world little effort or even no effort is taken to sterilize dental equipment. Yes it's possible to get Hepatitis C from dental tools that haven't been sterilized. Take the time and ask the dentist how the tools are sterilized. Go to a dentist you know practices sterilizing all the dental tools between patients.
Avatar m tn If you are dealing with a missing tooth, yellow teeth, teeth with multi color or any other teeth problems, cosmetic dentistry can be a boon for you. It is quite necessary that a person's teeth are in good condition, aligned properly for a great smile which is a way to self-confidence. One should visit a cosmetic dentistry.

Avatar f tn He went to the vet when it first began, and all they noticed that was wrong with him was that he needed his teeth to be cleaned. He had to take antibiotics for it, but he's taken them before. There seems to be a strange noise coming from his mouth when he tries to eat, almost like his jaw is clicking or he's grinding his teeth. Could his jaw be out of place?? Help!
666921 tn?1254990618 It could be the sensory overload issue that people with these kind of issues get. At my worst there was something about the fluorescent lights in the grocery store that would affect me. As soon as I walked in my legs would feel weak. The car issue could be motion sickness. People with lyme are more prone to it. It's on the symptom list.
Avatar n tn They put him on antibiotics, Zeniquin and Previcox for pain. Can you give me anymore information on what could have caused these readings and what I can do for him???
Avatar n tn I personally would not accept this dentistry. Individual crowns are made differently than crowns that are part of a bridge. the fact that your dentistry was toyed with and adjusted after it was finished in my opinion makes it more prone to failure after it is permanently cemented. For example, it's been in the glazing oven at least one extra time, and it was cut after it was completed---this creates the liklihodd of microfracture in the porcelain.
Avatar n tn One of the reputed dental specialist in a dentistry clinic in Ajax has whom I had consulted recommended me to wear braces which can lead my teeth properly aligned. I’m totally unaware of this procedure. Which one is the most preferable - the invisalign or traditional braces? Can anyone share their experience who has got braces?
Avatar n tn Erythromyocin, Methylprednisolone, Tylenol 3, Keflex and Flagyl. Why all the antibiotics for an overfill. Today I am still numb lipped.
Avatar f tn I am wondering if it is likely that he will be able to tolerate the anaesthesia? He is currently taking antibiotics and the swelling appears to be greater today than yesterday. He is still eating fine. I am wondering if there is another way of extracting the tooth without using the anaesthetic? My vet feels that the cats heart is sounding fine. I guess that I am looking for a second opinion on the possibility of him making it through the extraction procedure.
Avatar m tn What specifically do you want to know about those drugs?
Avatar n tn I just took my cat to the vet because one side of his face was swollen. He said that he's got a tooth abscess in a healthy tooth and that the tooth should be extracted. He said it is unusual in cats and that they don't know the cause. He also suggested some antibiotics for a few days before the surgery to help with the infection. Just wondering if it is worth trying to save the tooth. Go through the course of antibiotics and see if he gets better.
Avatar m tn I just moved to NYC and so I had to find a new dentist. A friend recommended 212 Smiling Dentistry, and I glad I heeded her advice. Before the surgery I mentioned my previous experiences and the doctor said that he would give me a sheet with after-care instructions. I followed them to the letter and it really helped. They have the list on their website at http://www.212smiling.com/after-care.php. I did all the things carefully and my next visit was a breeze.
