Avatar f tn I would like to eat more vegetables in my diet but I hate vegetables. Is there some good snack ideas but still low in calories and gives me my daily vegetables needs. I do like carrots corn green beans and greens.
Avatar m tn I have taken quite a bit of different antibiotics back in May. I have stopped taking it a about 3 weeks ago, maybe longer and noticed that I have a hard time gaining weight now. I have had bad anxiety and depression as well recently which may have caused my appetite to go down drastically but when it comes back I start to eat a lot and it doesn't seem like I can gain weight like I used too.
Avatar n tn Don't know if I'm posting in the correct section but the problem is in my mouth. Every morning when I wake up, I have this Brown gunk that's in my mouth. It's on my tongue, the roof of my mouth, on my teeth and in the back of my throat. If I drool during the night, it leaves a brown patch on my pillow. It's gross! Now I've noticed that if I take an antibiotic for whatever given illness, the brown gunk is not nearly as bad or goes away for the most part.

Avatar m tn I had three courses of unavoidable antibiotics back in November 2016, and since then my digestive system has really been messed up. I've been having lots of yogurt and took acidophilus for a while but after five months I still have very loose bowel movements or diarrhoea daily - only during the night and in the morning. I tried taking some other probiotics but gave up after a few days as they made it much worse.
Avatar m tn According to new research, produce in the U.S. not only tastes worse than it did in your grandparents' days, but also contains fewer nutrients. In fact, the average vegetable found in today's supermarket is anywhere from 5 percent to 40 percent lower in minerals such as magnesium, iron, calcium and zinc than those harvested just 50 years ago. Today's vegetables are larger, but do not contain more nutrients.
Avatar f tn I decided to get v8 100% vegetable and fruit Juice to help me with incoporating vegetables in my diet..anyways today my sister in law who I do not like so much said if I don't eat more veggies my baby will be 9lbs or bigger basically saying fat ans overgrown.. it irritates me that she said it but is it realistic for me to just drink the juice or should I go buy some veggies no bashing please...
Avatar f tn This depends of the theory of eating -- there are quite a lot. It also depends on if you have arthritis -- nightshades, for example, can make it worse. There are always foods that are better, neutral, and not so good within every category, but since there are so many theories of eating, and different food tolerances, this isn't answerable in general but only in a way that's specific way to you.
Avatar m tn I recently discovered I also had an overgrowth of klebsiella as well as citrobacter and enterobacter which I think all stemmed from a long time overgrowth of yeast in the gut (the result of an overuse of antibiotics for a sinus infection years ago that never actually went away, the antibiotics just made things alot worse). Needless to say I've been on a long journey learning alot about the health of the gut and how to clean it up and bring it into balance again.
Avatar f tn Suck on garlic cloves in between gargles. Also gargle with sea salt in water every couple of hours. Drink fluids high in vitamin c, like lemon in water with raw honey. Mix 1/2 raw honey with 1/2 powdered tumeric and place in mouth, allow it to melt slowly. The tuneric, garlic and apple cider vinegar are all natural antibiotics/ anti-inflammatories. Eat simple soups of vegetables in chicken broth with some real whole chicken with bones slowly simmered in it.
1524662 tn?1291421087 Hi there, If you've been treated for Thrush, there's a yeast over growth in your body. If you've ever taken a course of antibiotics, you will have a yeast over growth. When you take antibiotics to kill the bacteria that are causing an infection, you kill the beneficial bacteria as well as the infection causing bacteria.
Avatar f tn It is not so good unless you have been using under prescription of a Attending Doctor.Use of various antibiotics in a given period of time with less intervals may lead to Bacterial resistance which is often difficult to manage.
Avatar f tn my boyfriend ejaculated on his hands and then used sanitizer and had cooked vegetables with those hands and later after half an hour of his ejaculation he fingered me... can i get pregnant?
Avatar n tn Non vegetarian diet is rich in vitamin B 12 and should be taken regularly. In addition, eat lots of fruits and vegetables especially green leafy vegetables. They are a rich source of folic acid. Other food sources of folic acid are breakfast cereals, fortified grain products, lentils, beans, asparagus and spinach. You can also have iron and vitamin supplements along with these foods.
Avatar m tn However, today, noticed that I had what appeared to be blood in toilet and and upon wiping, bright red paper. Earlier in day, noticed slight pain on my left side below rib cage and later noticed I was gasey and burping a lot. My history, had H.Py.ori received treatment for one week and finished anti biotics on the 13th of June, felt ok for a couple of weeks and noticed belching came back and was told about possibility of candida overgrowth of which I had symptoms.
Avatar f tn Stick to unseasoned meat, fresh fruits and vegetables for 1-2 days. (No prepackaged or multi seasoned products) If you notice a difference add more single ingredient foods to diet. If feeling better, save introduction of wheat products until last.
Avatar f tn My little girl was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease in late June of this year. She has seen a specialist who though it may be worth while to test for Leptospirosis. Her tests came back with a low positive score so she was treated with antibiotics and confirmed with Lepto. After dealing with an uncaring vet I decided to move practices and have just found out that all the test and all the antibiotics were worthless.
Avatar f tn she told me taht since she was a little girl she eat everything natural, that in her country (Peru) were she is from and me too, everything is natural that they dont have the money for pesticides or chemical to put in fruits and vegetables,so is more natural and healthier, the chickens eat only lettuce , no like here, that all the foods are process and i was thinking that make sense. I came to this country when I was 19 yrs , I was healthy, skinny, no medical problems at all.
Avatar f tn Avoidance of carbs in all forms other than low carb vegetables is highly recommended in order to starve the fungi. My recommendation would be to also get a very high quality probiotic supplement-live (needs refrigeration) multi-strain with a high count in the 10s of billions and dairy free if possible. Also equally important is to take some quality prebiotics.
Avatar n tn is that normal? Will it take a month or 2 of antibiotics to see any improvement in my symptoms? Or should I ask my doctor to switch my antibiotics to something stronger? What can I do to get the good bacteria to grow in my system again. My diet is no grains or breads or anything like that. Just vegetables and protein.
Avatar f tn Diet which is well balanced with adequate proteins and non-refined carbohydrates with plenty of fruits and vegetables will build up your immunity. In addition, have good physical activity to increase your appetite and boost up stamina. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn if after this you are still feeling the same, then ask your gp for antibiotics to rid you of the infection, after you take the antibiotics, take probiotics to replace the good bacteria that the antibiotics has also killed.
