antibiotics

Avatar n tn Four days ago I finished antibiotics for cervisitis, vaginosis, and a fungal infection, no I am having a burning, itchy, brown clumpy discharge. My question is, Why are the symptoms occuring after and what could this be?
Avatar f tn I was induced at 39+5 at 7pm with my first. Very slow progression. Started hard labor next day at noon. Took some narcotic pain killer to keep my body from wanting to push (I was only at 7cm, and pushing was going to get me an emergency C). When that wore off, I was at 9cm. Took till 830pm, but he showed up eventually. The pain was some of the worst in my life, but once you're through, the memory of it fades. (Perspective: I'm an amputee. I'm missing some fingers on my right hand.
461781 tn?1285609481 I remember when I used bcp's that Dr's would always say that when you were taking antibiotics to use condoms or other barrier methods because antibiotics would make the pill uneffective during the time you had to take them. Well I'm trying to ttc and I'm currently taking antibiotics, how would that affect my O? I'm in my O days and I'm hoping that antibiotics would not hurt ttc? I don't know, does anyone know how antibiotics affect your cycle?
Avatar f tn Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment and oral antihistaminics like Benadryl or Zyrtec are also useful if there is any itching. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.
Avatar n tn Urine analysis may not present with any bacteria in cases wherein prior antibiotics have been taken. Results of urine culture may also be affected when antibiotics have been administered. There are cases though wherein an infection may not be present. The pain may be inflammatory in nature. This may be due to mild irritation brought about by external irritants as well chemicals found in urine. I would suggest for a prostate examination also.
4451049 tn?1387153437 With a CDC positive Lyme result and not much effect with oral antibiotics, I cannot help but wonder how people are getting their IV antibiotics paid for. Perhaps I am just poorer than most but uhh, is there some type of insurance that would pay for what I need?? My insurance will cover a months worth of IV antibiotics but that is all. And will not even pay for IM injections at all. It would be interesting to see how I respond. But in all reality, that's just a tease!
440941 tn?1243648084 I also have bin having pain in my shoulder blade areas burning in nature and stinging i had a chest xray and c-spine xray done which should nothing at all. Avatar m tn It’s the Best natural antibiotic around. They should be using it in the hospitals in case of sepsis!!

Avatar m tn I am a 35 year old Caucasion male and I recently developed these pimples on my pubic region. They are white in nature, soft, and are oozing a green puss-like substance. They are itchy and painful and appear as a rash in that region as well. I also noticed 2 blackhead like pimples on the shaft of my penis I had something similar occur about 3 years ago and nothing since. I was tested for STDs then and all tests were negative.
Avatar m tn Lately, I have noticed that the pain does come and go, but usually is pretty persistent in nature. Ibuprofen seems to help as does hot showers, but it eventually ends up coming back and hurts. I do have a Subaortic Stenosis heart murmur, which the cardiologist is not concerned about and said to just monitor, and had both an Echocardiogram and EKG done last month. Both of those tests came back normal as did the chest x-ray which came back with no evidence of COPD.
Avatar f tn And if you possibly have spinal meningitis, they should be testing you for that and seeing if it is viral or bacterial in nature. I believe it is typically accompanied with high fever. Meningitis can be life threatening, so if you still think you might have that get to the doctor ASAP! They should also run a WBC with differential, which can help aid in diagnosing you, including if you have mono.
518733 tn?1333017015 Kflex is safe- two antibiotics to AVOID in pregnancy would be- deoxycycline (spell?) or tetracycline, which are known to have risks. Otherwise- if the dr prescribing the antibiotics isn't your OB be sure to let your OB know that you were prescribed a new medication, they may have their own preference of what you should and should not take- and always ask the pharmacist if you are unsure about any medication..
1106767 tn?1315050974 I have read many conflicting stories reguarding this subject and it appears it really doesnt matter its down to lother nature to decide.Sperm thats supposed to be female are stronger and live longer, and male sperm are faster but die quicker. Its all nonsense i think but hey if anyone has any info then so be it.
Avatar f tn Canker sores and cold sores are two different things. Canker sores are not viral or bacterial in nature, but usually caused by stress or tissue injury. Cold sores are viral in nature caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV). No, the chicken pox vaccine is for a completely different virus, Varicella Zoster - also a member of the herpes family but not the same as HSV. It would have no impact on cold sores or canker sores.
Avatar m tn coli resistant to all oral antibiotics. The symptoms of urinary frequency, urgency and blood visible in the urine have come and go a few times since then - making life reasonably miserable. Recently, I have also noticed a slight discharge and since I have tested negative to STI's was wondering if this is normal? Also, given the resistant nature of the bug, what is the potential course of action? Are injectable antibiotics indicated? Thanks for any advice.
Avatar f tn I just need to know if I need to go to urgent care (my insurance is only accepted at 1 in my town and theres always a 3-4 hour wait) or if I can use the antibiotics I have on hand, gargle warm water, etc. Thank you!
Avatar f tn this is exactly why I do NOT want the government running the health care system in the U.S. Mother Nature is far trickier than the US Govt, and will doubtless cause us further pain and misery and lost months and even years through ineffectively diagnosed and treated Lyme disease.) If we post MD's names here, it gives ammunition to the medical boards in various states to shut the Lyme docs down for 'over-treating.' PLEASE do not name doc's names in these posts.

Avatar m tn m sure it is not viral. The fever is always 99 in the morning and 100 in the evening. In addition, the ache on the place of the extraction have never easied significantly, though I can feel it only if I press there with a finger. Also, I have a severe headache on the side of the tooth. My question is if 10 days fever can be because of the extracted tooth. Should I ask doctor t prescribe antibiotics? Is it still dry socket or infection?
168348 tn?1379357075 Do you have any information or recommendation how to help those with kidney stones who get recurring UTI's from what our Urologists have told us is because of likely biofilm infection deep inside kidney stones which are produced by those who have MSK (Medullary Sponge Kidney) on an ongoing basis? The stones are a by-product of MSK and are deep within the medullary and take a long time (if ever) to pass out.
Avatar f tn Yes, the doctor did the bacterial infection test and prescribed the antibiotics for mild infection. Same for throat infection, doctor gave the antibiotics. I never had an allergic reaction to any medicine in the past and I have taken the same antibiotic in the past (few years ago).
Avatar f tn So in the future I can not get it again from him? My doctor does not ever explain to me how these infections/diseases even come about. I do not even know whether it's an STD or STI. I would like to know if I could've gotten this from someone he had maybe had sex with in the past?
