The serum sickness reaction can develop 10 - 20 hours after ingesting food that contains mold proteins if the person is sensitized to that mold. I am a 37 mother with no prior history of sinus infection. I had what I thought was an evil flu or Lyme disease--body aches with an other-worldly headache that caused pain in my jaw. When the allergies started during the summer of 1996 I didn't have any infection. I visited an allergist and got diagnosed with pollen and dust mite allergy.
I have lost my health to due toxic mold in the dream home I purchased 10 yrs. ago. I have been chronically ill for 10 yrs. as my reaction to the mold began within two weeks. My immune system is knocked out, my thyroid, adrenal system, etc. I have lung disease diagnosed at first as asthma and later as possibly aspergillious. While medical technology seems to be catching up with health issues related to toxic mold; it is not moving quickly enough for me.
I had a sinus infection and was put on two different antibiotics at two different times, I have been off the antibiotics for about a month now. but I still have a bad taste in my mouth and I have been having bad I mean bad headaches on my right side of my fore head and I have pain all the way down to my right ear and my right eye starts to hurt and water.
The rash yes! That’s a sign of mold poisoning. I had rash over 90% of body and pneumonia as well for 2.5 years. Levaquin saved my life as well as a move. I would get checked for toxic mold hole workplace etc. I wish you luck!

I was on a lot of different antibiotics for what my doctor suspected was a bacterial infection of some sort as well I had a tooth infection. So all in all I took amoxicillin, cephalexin, asithromycin, flagyl all within a few weeks.
Now onto the lymph nodes. Before shingles appeared I had some swelling of nodes on one side of face behind the ear and near the jaw. Once shingles appeared that seemed to be an explanation for that.
Does anyone has/had a problem with toxic black mold? I worked in a H.School, my classroom was full of black mold and was never 'cleaned' properly. Since then I have a lot of lung problems. Any one know anything or treatment for it?
i have had a bad chest,cough and sickness now for over a month,i had been to the doctors twice and he gave me 2 different antibiotics,and they havn"t seem to work,can you tell me what,or why you think this is happening to me?thanks,also if this helps ,everytime i cough i seem to want to be sick,and sometimes do.
I am starting to suspect mold in the sinuses, as I have tried everything to else to correct it (antibiotics, steroids, allergen medicine). I will be getting surgery soon on my sinuses, as well as surgery to correct my deviated septum, and I'll let you know what they find.
The reason why anti-funguls do not work is because mold rarely invades the actual tissue of your sinuses, it rather just lives inside the open area. I'm sorry that you have been suffering for so much longer than me.
I lived on an old sailboat for two months straight, every night. There was black mold all over. I moved out 3 weeks ago, now I'm on a new boat. No visible black mold. A little wood rotting, small amount of dry rot, but no mold. A week into the new boat I got a severe sore throat, that turned into sinus problems, that turned into ear ache, now its a severe cough. Could it be the black mold that caused this? If so, why didn't I get sick while I was on the dirty boat.
I have tried 2 different antibiotics with no results. I am on different antibiotics and have been for 2 weeks now. I am not much better. I'm beginning to think its my house since we moved in late fall and I started having mild symptoms of a cold. The biggest problem is my lungs. I cough like crazy and cough up yellow mucus. About 3weeks ago i had strep took antibiotics and then got the flu since then the pain has been getting worse and worse ivell been eating cough drops and drinking hot tea religiously it feels like its on fire and the pain is on themiddle of my throat im a woman so i dont have an adams apple but where the adams apple is located on a man thats the spot it hurts inside and out and im constanylt putting my hand on my neck when i swallow or talking and i squeeze it a little when i put vicks vapor ru
The tests are not all that accurate, and must be read in light of your symptoms and history. You should ask your MD about taking (more) doxycycline -- and tell him/her whether you stopped taking it before finishing the whole course as prescribed.
No, I have not tested my house for mold. I'm aware of the things that triggers my asthma, I know that I'm allergic to lots of things like, mold, dust cats, some plants, and many other things, and for the most part I try to stay away from some of those things to help myself. But I was curious to know if is possible to have pain in my back around my lungs, do to the asthma ?? and why ??
I just wanted to help her before I found a job. Well, I noticed that there was this white mold/fungus on the shingles. The manufacturer didn't store the product correctly, so mold was growing on it. After installing the roof, I developed a cough that would not go away. It produced yellow phlegm. I went to the doctor and he said I had allergies. This was strange because I have never had allergies before. I attributed to all of the debris that I inhaled during the roofing process.
