I was wondering if anyone has had any heart rhythm problems attributed to antibiotics. I have pvcs/pacs, all tests, ekg, echo has come back completely normal. Im just worried about taking a new medication,, afraid it may cause the palpitations to be worse, better yet cause a dangerous arrythmia!! Any advice would be great!!
something has triggered it like the H-pylori and by not taking the antibiotics for them; it just got worse but the antibiotics will still kill the infection, you just might need a double dose. other things can trigger IBS. Most common triggers have to deal with alergies and intolorence to certain foods, spices or perservatives in the food.
Prior to my diagnosis I had been getting acid reflux a good bit. It started about 6 months before I was diagnosed. I am now taking two antibiotics, prilosec,and a probiotic. My question is why do I still have Australians occasional heartburn. I still have 6 days left of treatment. Anybody want to offer any thoughts?Thank you.
I've coughed, lightly, for 3 months now. I have experienced heartburn with which over the counter meds helped.
But I have a tickle in my throat throughout most of the day, and I also experience random chestpain that's more like sharp and/or a soreness in the chest. Sometimes it can be provoked by bending forward or taking a deep breath.
I've been on pantoprazol for 3 weeks and antibiotics for 2 weeks (GP's prescription), no change.
A couple days ago I had really horrible heartburn, I took some alka-seltzer for it and it eventually went away but even after it went away I've had a really bad stomach ache remaining and after anything I eat i feel nauseous and have thrown up a couple times as well. Can anyone tell me what it may be that i have or how i can treat it?
The irony is, if you have ulcers and take Aciphex alone, the Aciphex could make the symptoms worse. Clearly something changed after taking the antibiotics, and now your ally in heartburn control has become your enemy. It might be worth getting back to your physician on this one, since antibiotics can often be a "swinging door", killing some bacteria while making it easier for other bacteria to get through that otherwise wouldn't have.

Im looking for answers. For 2 years I had continuous stomach pain, heartburn and chest pains. I was seen numerous times in the ER when the pain got to bad. Everytime I was told there was nothing wrong. Finally one doctor decided to do a hida scan and found I had a low function gallbladder. it was only 17%. In November I had my gallbladder removed. I had a lot of pain and the heartburn instantly returned.. and I would get nauseas with one bite of food.
so look at ne meds u may have been on recently or during the time frame u have had these issues. Antibiotics also knock out the natural balance in ur system and if u have had a need for them u may want to ask about a probiotic to restore balance.
A PH test may be a good idea as well as an endoscopy or gastroscopy just to be sure it is excess gas and just how much or little u r dealing with.
The antibiotics in the Prevpak can cause heartburn as well. I would still suggest giving it a bit more time...
A week after I was done with treatment I had the worst heartburn and abdominal pain in my life. The pain so strong that it woke my up in the middle of the night. The pain has been in my upper abdomen around where my ribs begin to join, and I had also some lower abdominal pain. Weirdly enough the onset took place after having a calzone and pizza. Does any think that it could be caused by the doxycycline, has anyone heard of gastritis from taking an antibiotic for such short period of time?
The doctor gave her antibiotics again, that helped her. Now she has heartburn almost everyday, at first the doctor gave her pantoprazole that didn't work and now she takes omeprazole, but after eating she still has heartburn almost everyday. She eats everything above ph5, which doesn't contain acid. I advised her a lot of healthy food. It was two weeks on omeprazole, clarithromycin and Metronidazol for two weeks. The original pain I was having was heartburn, bloating and a pain on my side just under my rib cage. The antibiotics gave me diarrhea several times each day. I still have the diarrhea, as well as the heartburn and pain on my side.

Hi, back in September 2008, I was diagnosed with H. Pylori and was put on antibiotics & pills to control the acid reflux part. In the past week (December 08), I've had heartburn off and on the past few days. It's not as bad as when I first was diagnosed with the H. Pylori. I'm burping off & on, occasional sore throat (that might also be from the sinus drainage I'm having too), and heartburn.

I went to my doctor, to get the test results to my stool sample. They found candida in my stool. My doctor had never heard of this before. He told me to drink apple cider and prescribed me Prilosec. I don't have heartburn. I have had abdominal cramps for a few months and this is the first positive test result I've received.
I'm a 32 years old non-smoking male. On 23rd of January, I started to experience stomach upset and heaty body (37.5 deg C). Thinking that i might have too much of deep fried food, I ignored it and started to drink lots of water. I am a 33 y/o caucasion female. I am pretty healthy, generally excerciseand usually eat healthy foods. I am 5'7'' an 120 lbs. Two weeks ago I started getting heartburn and stomach aches. One week ago I went to my pcp and he gave me Dexilant. I have been taking 60mg daily (before lunch). I do no have a stomach ache but the heartburn is throughout the day, mainly at my breastbone and then I feel it in my left armpit. Everything I eat is giving me heartburn.
Lately I have been having headaches and really bad heartburn. I had my period. It was a day late but pretty normal otherwise except it stopped after about 4 days for 2 or 3 days and then started up again kind of, nothing heavy but I should have been done with it by then.Prior to that I had heavy clear discharge for about a week, way more than what is normal for me (sorry if thats too much info!!) I feel queasy sometimes and tired as well, and bloated. I just don't really feel like myself.
