discharge on the eyelids and moderately dry eyes, and the gap of the fracture above the left eye seems to have opened more wide over time. I dont know if the open fracture could have cause cross-contamination. Would a B-scan ultrasonagraphy be a good start to ascertain what's going on in the eyes? CT scans just show mucousal thickening in ethmoid sinuses and a CSF leak is a possibility, Onodi cells were noted, along with fractures stated above.
The flossing pain has come back. My dentist is on holiday for 10 days and prescribed me a new antibiotic and steroids to help reduce the inflammation. A doctor examined my ear canal and it is fine.
Are these symptoms familiar to anyone? Is there a cause beyond residual infection that I need to get treated?
I had terrible pain in my upper tooth over Memorial wkend. A year previous, that tooth's filling came out. There was a small crack & I chose to have the tooth filled. But it was never right, as I couldn't use it w/o pain. The Tues after Mem day wkend, I had a root canal done on the tooth. But since, there was still pain in the gum above the tooth when I press it. I can chew w/o pain.
Thought it was due to antibiotics and pain meds, but have been off of everything for 2 weeks except Tylenol and ibuprofen. (mostly Tylenol)
-Slight sinus inflamation & tight breathing. Nothing is blocked, but it feels like I'm not breathing as freely as normal and that I can't fill my lungs. It may be anxiety, but I don't know for sure. Comes and goes.
-Blood pressure rises particularly at night. Had to get my BP medicine changed to get BP down to normal.

had redo on 5/7/07 where canals were left open; crown resealed with temporary filling, and antibiotics. the doctors suggested for ilizarov frame. The fracture was in upper part of tibia near the knee with 1.5 inch gap due to infection. They broke the tibia from bottom and by screwing the frame for 2 months the bone shifted upside reducing the gap. The gap was created in the bottom part of tibia which in now joined. But still,
the upper part of tibia is not united even the gap is reduced. the x-ray shows a very small instance of callus formation which i am not sure it is callus.
It has been 37 years since my auto accident which resulted in open head fracture, brain damage, fracture check, nose and jaw along with nerve damage and severe debilitaing pain,. Have had over 100 surgeries and am not any further along. My sense of smell and taste have not come back and never will. My eye was removed and fitted with fake eye. After over 10 surgeons, I am living with severe pain from the injuries and the massive amount of surgeries.
Went to ER and was told that i had a acute navicular fracture. All that has been done for treatment is a wooden shoe. I was restricted to being on the foot for 15min. of every hr. and elivate as much as possible. This has went on for three weeks. There are no changes in my condition. I still have pain, and swelling and a poping in my foot. My question is, is this treatment normal for this injury? If other treatment needed should i get a second opinion? What should treatment be?
You need to see orthopedician as he specializes in this, and also for regular check up for misalignment or non union or for looking for signs of infection etc.
Usually it takes 6-8 weeks for healing of fractures of lower limb, but might take longer and this varies upon the patient individually. Follow up every two weeks is a must.

The treatment will include surgery to correct the fracture and prevent further bleeding and antibiotics, to prevent/treat infection. Do not delay in getting medical care, from the physicians who ordered your CT Scan. This is not something that will heal itself.
She sew the wound and prescribed me antibiotics. I have a strong immune system and usually feel very bad and weak after antibiotics, and seeing that i feel good after the extraction, with no pain at all i kept postponing taking the antibiotics prescribed. 12 hours from the extraction I continue to feel good: no signs of swallowed face, no pain (and i took no pain reliever), a portion of the gum near the wound started to turn white. Am I putting myself at risk?
Hello, my cat is about 17 yrs old, inside only cat, she has a large open wound on her neck that wont go away and seems to be getting bigger. I would love to take her to the vet, i know thats probally what needs to be done soon, but i have no income right now and was wondering if there was anything i could do for her? I have tryed the cone thingy around her neck so she counl'nt lick it, but that made it worse. I've tryed to bandage it up and put like neosporin on it, that made it worse.
My anxiety is way too high to start taking these antibiotics! "Not recommended for pregnant women unless benefits outweigh the risks" is not good enough for me! The doctor asked if I was on birth control when I went in (ER) -.- , im 28 weeks & seriously do not want anything risking my babies health :( the pills are Apo-Cephalex 500mg. My ingrown toenail keeps getting worse as Im unable to clean it on a regular basis or let it breathe at all.

2 weeks ago, I broke my left ulna after a fall while weightlifting. My arm struck the metal foot of the squat rack. A trip to the ER revealed a fracture in the distal 1/3 of the ulna.
I had a follow up with a surgeon two days later. After xrays he recommended that I have an open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) surgery performed.

Hi dr, I thought that I had a sinus infection about a month ago and was treated with levaquin 500 mg for 7 days. Now, the pain is still there an my entire right side is sensitive to heat/cold. Really, it even seems as if the bottom mandible is sensitive, but when he did the tap test on the teeth, the upper #4 was the one hurting. It is my upper #4 tooth, but the pain radiates to my temple, ear, and back to the entire upper mandible. My x-ray showed very little infection/inflamation.
Prior to my doctor visit I stayed home from work for eight days (luckily school was cancelled). Anyway, I started to feel sinus pressure again last night. By the time I had put my head down to sleep I felt much worse than I had ever felt before. Also, before being prescribed the antibiotics I noticed a greenish-yellow discharge from my left nostril. After the onset of this pain the discharge has changed nostrils.
