Avatar f tn I'm 17 weeks pregnant and got a bladder infection, I am the worst person for not being able to take tablets. They have gave me antibiotics that are only the size of capsule paracetamol but I am still struggling to take them..I don't know why just can't seem to swallow them..is there anything else I can do or the nurses can do to help me?
Avatar f tn When your in labor be sure to tell the nurses and they put you on antibiotics so it doesnt go to the baby.
402205 tn?1230481005 I have a question for the nurses. I jammed my pinky finger somehow on Saturday. Its really swollen and hurts around the knuckle. Should I just tape it to the ring finger and let it heal? It feels a little better that way. I just don't feel like going to the doctor?

Avatar f tn As long as you get antibiotics during delivery, baby will be fine. I wasn't gbs positive with my dd, but my cousin was with her son. All they did was give her antibiotics via iv while she was in labor. But it is very important you receive the antibiotics while in labor.
Avatar m tn Thanks God that the result is all negative… My doubt only that the nurse reused the needle to me… I was in the room for almost 5 minutes waiting for the nurse and checked the room if there’s a needle in the table and she came to room and I inform her that I’m the one who will open the needle and she allowed me to open the needle and I gave her and she find difficulties to draw the blood in my skin so she asked the another nurse to take a blood on me…and that time I don’t know if the nurse gave
Avatar m tn I went to my local NHS GUM at 3 weeks for advice (not knowning the window periods.I wonder if the nurse also did for she decided ti to test me at 24 days (this to the best of my knowledge was a 4th GEN). I had to wait 2 weeks for my results and after a VERY stressful fortnight, they came back negative. Relieved, at week six I got a very dry mouth. Concerned, I phoned up the GUM clinic again, there a health adviser told me the nurse had got the timing wrong and it should have been 28 days.

1634309 tn?1320618707 infections can be dangerous if left untreated so you want to get rid of the infection anytime i was in doubt about any medicine i called my family doc or a maybe you have nurses/doc that is in your family or close friends....i have cousins and nurses who are nurses so i always run to them when im worried about something like this my suggestion is if you trust your family doc, call them and ask them....it never hurts to get a second opinion....
5650943 tn?1374112808 I hate rude nurses! I'd ask for that specific nurse to be replaced and not come into your room anymore.
Avatar f tn Momma is just sore and a few bumps and bruises. Any nurses out there work home health and how long did you work for before your due date? After this fall I'm afraid.
5615074 tn?1378316840 I called because I have been in pain for more than 24 hours with no relief. All she said was sit on an ice pack you will be fine. Anybody else have nurses like this?
5221069 tn?1366618397 Untreated UTI can lead to complications and can affect the development of embryo. Antibiotics which are safe for the fetus are prescribed during this time. If you are anxious it is best to discuss it with your attending doctor. Any medication is usually prescribed if the benefits outweigh the risks. I sincerely hope it helps. Keep me posted. Best luck and regards!
Avatar f tn Ohh thank you!
2104110 tn?1358318243 Hi ladies I've bn admitted for urine tract infection? Is it necessary?
Avatar f tn My dentist prescribed antibiotics for the tooth extraction. I told him I am on interferon and he called my GI and checked with him first. I don't think there should be any issues. Both your dentist and doctor should know all your current medications and any invasive dental procedure you are planning.

Avatar f tn I highly doubt that you would test positive for herpes because you've had chicken pox, cause then literally everyone would be positive for herpes. I've had chicken pox and never tested positive, and I agree with the other posts you should Def tell the babies dad.
Avatar f tn When I had my last two babies I kept saying I would do it after the birth. But this time I'm pre-making thank you gifts for the nurses at the hospital. So I have it on hand and can just give it to the nurse when she's leaving.
Avatar m tn thank you for your reply. The neuro surgeon who operated has been away all week and back tomorrow and the nurses say they will most likely do a brain scan and see whats happening. He is in ICU, and no movement at all from him, only occassionaly his feet twitch. His pupils dont show anything at all. They havent sedated him he just hasnt regained consciousness since they operated. They had to do a Trachiotomy on him four days ago. I will ask my sister to get the white cell count checked.
Avatar f tn ) The doc and nurses will know what to do. Just make sure you let them know in case when the time comes.
Avatar f tn I took my antibiotics for bv and then went to sleep. Woke up sweating and running to the bathroom having diarrhea. I'm still sweating and I'm having some stomach pain. Anybody experience this? Is it the antibiotics doing it to me ? I'm 17 weeks pregnant.
Avatar n tn these are your antibiotics? why do you think your kitties need antibiotics? what strength are they and how much do the kitties weigh? you do know that using an antibiotic on cats can be dangerous...you have to be very sure there is an actual infection, than the culture needs to show what antib will work for that strain.
Avatar n tn I have noticed a pattern which I was reminded of recently, and that is whenever I take a round of antibiotics, it relieves the swelling for a while. I finished a 10 day course on Avelox about a week and a half ago, and so far have had no swelling. Does anybody have any idea why this happens?
