antibiotics for ear infection

I'm on them for an ear infection and my primary doc gave them he said it was safe but just wanted to check if anyone else has taken them while pregnant

I was taking cephalexin for a really bad throat and ear infection I had two weeks ago.

U might have to see ur reg doctor but i think its safe to take antibiotics...that might be the only way to get rid of ear infection.

I believe you just go in and they give you anti biotics safe for pregnancy.

t get to see one but i saw a doctor who said my ear canal is inflamed so he gave me antibiotics. I took them for 5 days and the pain got worse, and my jawline under the infected ear is swollen and it's hurting right underneath my ear in my neck etc. so i went to an urgent care centre he said he can see it's inflamed but i need to put drops in as well as take ANOTHER set of antibiotics. It's the second day and i tell you now there is still NO improvement.

Yup all 3 of my pregnancies I've had to take antibiotics at some point or another. Right now I'm on some for a uti I've also been on them for a sinus infection and a kidney infection during pregnancy.

I have had an ear infection for nearly a week now. I'm very tired as the pain in my ear is so bad i can't sleep at all. I've been to the doctor twice in one week and she put me on antibiotics and ear drops even a cream but they don't help. Even painkillers don't help with the pain. 2 days ago I was prescribed amoxicillin for an ear infection. Last 2 nights I have had trouble sleeping pounding heart etc all the symptoms I remember from my.bad anxiety days. I called back Drs office. They seems sceptical these were side effects of amox. But I got them to agree to give me a diff antibiotic. So .. am I crazy? I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow and have had a double ear infection for over 2 weeks. I had them several times last year starting this time of year and always needed the super strength prescription with steroids. s a godsend of a medication lol. I had a double ear infection, double sinus infection, and stage 1 phumonia(sp), and Zithromax had me cleared up and feeling better withen the same night of taking it. I was also worried to take it at first, so I called almost every pharmacy in town and asked about it, and I got the same answer, which is it's safe, and I even called my doc and double checked with him lmao. Zithromax does cross into the placenta, but not as much as other antibiotics.

That definitely sounds like a fungal infection. I've had a sinus infection and ear infection for well over a month now. It was so bad that I was going to the doctor daily for IV antibiotics. The third time was in April and I got bit by another bug while I was sleeping and once again it turned into lymphangitis. I went to the doc today for a sinus infection, bronchitis and ear infection :/ they gave me antibiotics for the infections and mucinex for the bronchitis. How far are you? They said because I was in third trimester that it was safer to take antibiotics.

he also gave him some Mometamax to drop in his ear. The infection had went away very quickly. about 3 mths agoe one ear starting swelling up and he started shaking his ear and scratching. I started giving the medications i had left over and it went away in as quick as 2 days. My dog ran away for 2 weeks and we found him. He came back with what looks like his ear exploded. l went straight to the doctor and she told me not to remove the earing as it could cause the infection to close in inside my ear and she prescribed antibiotics(pills) for me. you could also try getting infection ointments from your nearest pharmacy and applying these while taking antibiotics to fight the infection. Also try not to take out your earings out as the piercing is new and will take a very long time to heal and so that could irritate it.
