Im not 100 percent sure about the injectitons but I would assume that it can effect your birth control like it does all of the others. Antibiotics have a half life that can temporarily effect birth control, but not permanetly. Ask your doctor for more advise, he/she will be able to tell you immediately.

Antibiotics have no effect on condoms, and for even greater protection using a condom correctly during all intercourse while also on birth control pills (which may be less effective while on antibiotics) would offer extremely effective birth control...But still nothing short of complete abstinence is 100%
Also, you might look into getting a prescription for topical antibiotic treatment instead of the oral..but the oral antibiotics are probably more effective.

zithromycin (z-pack) I DON'T think is known to affect birth control but I'm not 100% on it. I know it has a warning on the indications but all birth controls do...but I've always heard that it was the cillins you had to worry about.
Mirena does have the hormones so there may be a slim possibility that it affected it, but have you tested? if you got pregnant during the time you took the antibiotics it would def.
last month was my first time of using birth control pills. I was expecting my period to come on the first week of March and on the 6th of this month i had spotting. yes bc as stated above, z-pac is an antibiotic and when taking them while on birthcontrol, and for some reason when on antibiotics and birth control the antibiotics effect the birthcotrol and don't work i don't if this makes sense or not but i don't know how to put into words for say lol
ok, one you should know taking antibiotics render the birth control useless while you are taking them,about the other medicines i dont no, but if the doc gave them and he knows you on which birth control then you shouldnt worry,unless you having side effect, try checking on the leaflet that comes with pills, they usually tell you which medicines you shouldnt mix with.
I was freaked out and thought that the antibiotics may still have an effect on my normal birth control so I bought plan B that week and used protection regularly..

Condoms are not a 100% effective and neither is birth control. I've had 3 friends get pregnant while taking birth control and 1 friend get pregnant using condoms. The odds maybe low but it happens all the time. If you're that worried, then maybe you shouldn't be having intercourse. Oral is always safe (if you don't want a baby).
I personally have not had this kind of effect from my birth control. Perhaps you should contact your doctor about this and see if a smaller dosage/different contraceptive will help resolve this problem.
But when I think on it, I did have a friend with a similar problem as you and she was on bc as well.
It could also be a lack of clitoral stimulation. I suggest using a lubricant till the problem can be resolved.

I had no spotting or anything and even tho I was on antibiotics by taking my new pack of birth control I was still able to skip my period with no spotting or anything. So that must mean my birth control had to be working to some degree right? I had my son 4 months. And I'm on my birth control called jencycla.it's hormones insteasd of the regular birth control so it wont effect my milk supply I've been on it for 3 months now. The first month my period was normal. The second month I spotted enough to feel up one tampon. And havent had any signs of it so far. Everytime I bf my son I get extremely nauseated. And sometimes I don't have to even be breastfeeding to feel sick. I'm scared I could be pregnant.
