1697869 tn?1306766843 Hi, I had a UTI first trimester and had to take antibiotics and now in my second trimester had a sinus, ear and chest infection and had to take Amoxcillan again and I was reassured it was safe. So try not worry...just try and get better for your baby. Hope this helps..
Avatar n tn Has anyone had bacterial vaginosis during their first trimester? Any stories? Or advice until treatment?
Avatar f tn Hey, are there any other ladies on here prescribed antibiotics durring first trimester and everything went okay? I have a pending root canal but am both worried about the dental infection hurting baby or the antibiotics... the doctors have said the antibiotics I have are perfectly fine for pregnancy but I would feel better to hear all went well by someone else :) Thanks for the read through!

Avatar n tn So I had to take antibiotics twice during my pregnancy. One time it was the pack you take for like 4 days I believe and its because I had a virus/flu going on then the second time which was like 3-4weeks later I had amoxicillin because again I had came down with a cold but with an ear infection. I was suppose to stay on the amoxocillin for I think was like 10+ days but everytime I would take it I felt my baby move alot and just felt nasty so I ended up taking it for only 2-3 days.
Avatar f tn Its grand. I had them too.
1486020 tn?1354028475 Tylenol (acetaminophen) is okay to take during pregnancy, just not too much. I'll try your clove idea. Someone also suggested a baby toothing gel, since it would be safe for a baby it should be safe during pregnancy. I wish the dentist would take me sooner! This is agonizing..
691236 tn?1311199974 I have been feeling so good-never had any morning symptoms or anything during all of first trimester so maybe it is just catching up to me now! I have finally been released from our RE to my OBGYN and I see him on Wed so I will ask him. I am feeling much better today though. Congrats to you on your pregnancy and good luck to you!!!
14516478 tn?1436386122 They are common all during pregnancy. I had them all the time with my daughter and started up with this one too. I'm 14 weeks and already on my 2nd UTI. I am drinking a lot of cranberry juice now to see if it helps. I don't like being on antibiotics all the time.
Avatar f tn I'm 7 weeks into my first pregnancy and I'm still feeling very nauseous. Plus, I have to force myself to eat for my baby. Does the sick feeling go away? Help!
Avatar f tn I can completely understand your concern as I caught terrible flu during the first trimester when I had my 1st and 2nd baby. The doctor said it is easy to get sick until the pregnancy is stable. Flying alone won't make you sick, but make sure that you are well protected. Stay warm, get lots of rest, eat well, wear a mask if needed, always clean your hands.
Avatar f tn Hello, Any dental procedure or extraction can be undertaken during pregnancy but if possible, try to have dental work during your second trimester. During the first trimester, your baby is forming vital organs and during the third trimester if could be very uncomfortable for you to lie on your back for an extended period of time. Few antibiotics are safe during pregnancy .Your doctor will use anesthetic which is safe during pregnancy. Contact a dentist for more queries and assistance.
Avatar f tn I would rather just treat it if it happens because you should know to stay away from certain things while pregnant because your immune system is weak. The most common infection during pregnancy is a UTI. I never heard a doctor.say that.
