Avatar f tn I ended up going to an eye doctor cause my vision started to blur, but my left eye and left nostril stopped running like a faucet lol, I haven't had a problem lately. My vision is back to normal, but every time I go swimming it seems to miss with my hearing. And after the eye doctor he told me to take antibiotics for strep throat before it developed again, and it did form and it went away. It keeps coming and going hurts to eat sometimes but I don't see white on it.
Avatar f tn I concur with above posters. Additionally, certain antibiotics can cause blurred vision along with eye sensitivity, the latter requiring one to wear UV protected sunglasses outdoors. It appears your eyes are well enough to post here so Google the name of the antibiotics followed by the key words 'side effects' to see if blurred vision is listed. Then call your doctor and/or treating hospital for an eye examination.
Avatar f tn I too am having strange vision problems and dizziness no one can seem to figure out. It is getting verrry frustrating when every doc plays off these things as if they are minor annoyances. I go to my family doctor again today...hope he has some ideas of can refer me somewhere.
Avatar f tn Diabetics can cause vision problems particularly retinal problems like diabetic retinopathy, macula problems etc Yes, problems caused by diabetics on eye cannot be corrected by glasses or contact lenses as it affects retina of eye Keeping diabetics under control is the first step to keep vision stable, regular eye checkups is also essential.
Avatar n tn No, but it needs an exam by an Eye MD. Could be traction on the retina by the vitreous. Find a Eye MD near you at www.aao.
Avatar n tn t feel that would cause any of the symptoms I described. The opthamologist suggested that I live with the vision problems. I've had some odd sensations in my face and head lately as well. For instance, I get numbness in my nose and lips from time to time that usually goes away on it's own. Recently I've noticed pressure around my temples, sometimes both sometimes just the left. My job and education program require that I stare at a computer screen for the greater part of each day.
Avatar f tn I was wondering if anyone has had any heart rhythm problems attributed to antibiotics. I have pvcs/pacs, all tests, ekg, echo has come back completely normal. Im just worried about taking a new medication,, afraid it may cause the palpitations to be worse, better yet cause a dangerous arrythmia!! Any advice would be great!!
Avatar n tn ve never had before) is another symptom of the Lyme disease? I have been avoiding IV antibiotics, but I can not risk loss of vision. Thanks.
Avatar n tn It turned out to be a very large abscess of 2 teeth, so big, that the dentist and his partner at first told me it was way to big to be an abscess and had to take repeated x-rays to identify it. I am on antibiotics and they told me with a root canal my teeth could be saved. My question is, after 3 years of ignoring this very large abscess, I am being checked for MS because of transient double and blurred vision along with other nerve and muscle probems as well as just generally not feeling well.
Avatar f tn I have TERRIBLE vision. I had great vision until my 20th week. Freaked me out and I went to the hospital cause my vision was terrible and I got so dizzy at night I couldn't fall asleep. My blood pressure was perfectly fine until the night time, when it actually dropped a bit. But doctors say that's normal at night for pregnant women. Don't be too paranoid, not all bad vision means high blood pressure or preeclampsia lol. But talk to your doc just to ease your mind.
Avatar m tn Chronic sinusitis can cause you to be extremelly weak and shaky! Do you have ringing in the ear or blury vision? My heart goes out to you as I know how horrible it is to live with this condition. I have Chronic sinusitis and anxiety, all started two years ago. I hope you feel well soon.
703821 tn?1231722095 You may have a cranial nerve palsy--perhaps a 3rd, 4th, or 6th nerve causing double vision. If the double vision is horizontal--side by side--and is worse in the distance than up close, it is probably a 6th nerve palsy. This can be caused by the brain banging into the 6th nerve at the base of the cranial cavity during the injury but it can also be a harbinger of increased intracranial pressure. You didn't say whether you had an MRI. You may need one.

I don't know many people who DON't have dry eyes working in front of the PC all day and reading these blogs by night. I guess use drops, drink lots of water and take a break now and then.

Avatar f tn Hi, How are you? Indeed, some antibiotics including sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim and levofloxacin may cause headache as one of the side effects. This usually goes away after the course of the treatment. If it persists, inform your doctor about this for proper management. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar m tn I don't know you age. Cataract can cause a change in color and distance vision. Dr. O.
Avatar f tn I haven’t personally experienced any additional problems with vision, despite a total of 152 weeks of treatment. I do have some loss of close up (reading) vision, but it’s likely this is age-related; I was having problems prior to treatment, and began using reading glasses for correction. Besides, I’m 54 now, I guess this is par for the course :o). Your doctor is probably the best source of info regarding self-resolution of any problems you’re having.
