Avatar f tn A few ever-so-lucky people get tendinitis from fluoroquinolone antibiotics. My rheumatologist confirmed that I am one of them, since I developed painful, long-lasting tendinitis while on Cipro--and then a flareup later while using VIgamox and not yet understanding the possible connection.

Avatar m tn I have been having wrist pain for about 10 months now, and I've been to the doctor several times. The first time he told me it would go away by itself, the second time he told me it was probably tendinitis. And the last time, he took and X-ray, while my wrist was swollen, and told me it was tendinitis. He told me I probably aggrivated it. I dance, but it isn't with my arms/wrist. It isn't a lot of repetitive motion and it isn't like my fingers make any movement.
798555 tn?1292787551 Since I get ulcers a lot, I take a medication daily that coats my stomach therefore I never had side effect. You can not drink with Flagyl. Even using products with alcohol in it could cause problems. Everyone herxes differently but I get pains all over in all my joints, chills and basically you feel like you have the flu. When I first took doxy, I would throw up but I don't anymore. Hope that helps.
Avatar m tn t say that Cipro affected my PVCs, but that might have been because I was distracted by the painful tendinitis it gave me. Cipro is one of the fluoroquinolone antibiotics, and while they have their uses, they are associated with tendon inflammation and rupture in a certain percentage of patients. I am one of those.
Avatar m tn The other such inflammatory tendinitis conditions giving pain at the back of knee on inner or outer side (along with possible ankle joint pain) are Hamstrings tendinitis and Gastrocnemius muscle tendenitis. Another cause of popliteal pain is injury to the posterior horn of lateral meniscus. Please consult an orthopedic specialist regarding this. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.

Avatar f tn My husband has had tendinitis for quite some time. It comes and goes. I have also had tendinitis that comes and goes away on it's own. My husband now has a lump on his elbow about the size of a marble, maybe a tiny bit bigger than a marble. I never heard of a lump forming due to tendinitis - would this be normal? The lump is hard and painful to him when I tried feeling the lump. I told him several times to call the doctor, but he thinks it's just tendinitis.
Avatar f tn But lately, and I am wondering if it may have been due to the condition of my shoes that I recently replaced, my left ankle has seemed kind of funny and now I am starting to worry if it may be the start of Achilles tendinitis or something with the ankle.
Avatar n tn Hello, I work for physiatrists, one of which recently diagnosed me with bicipital tendinitis. The only problem is, everything he has recommended does nothing - I have tried ibuprofen 400mg three times daily, ice four times daily, and am now on Celebrex 200mg twice daily (does just increased from one daily yesterday). The only thing that temporarily takes the edge off is ice. Has anyone heard of PRP treatment (platelet rich plasma)? I am trying to find out success rates of this treatment.

Avatar n tn m literally going crazy not being able to work out for almost three weeks!! However the antibiotics reference sheet said that tendinitis was a common side effect, especially rupture of the achilles tendon. So, I'm wondering when I can get back out there. Any help or personal experiences would be awesome. Thanks!
Avatar f tn I actually have been through a lot with my shoulder, so I would be happy to share. The most common cause of shoulder pain is overuse and tendinitis, from things such as poor ergonomics at the computer or work stations. You can browse the internet for tips on improving the set up of your work stations. I have posted a link from Wikipedia for you to look at about Ergonomics.
