Avatar f tn So, you have treat the CHF, which is difficult and often involves drugs or therapies that are likely to make the nosebleeds worse, things like aspirin, warfarin (anti-clot meds). If liver function is bad, nosebleeds are a consequence, too. In addition to all these, there are little clusters of blood vessels in two places in the nose (front and back) where everything is really close to the surface--meaning that it's tremendously easy to irritate or break these blood vessels.
Avatar f tn I had nose bleeds, with my daughter and my son, throughout both my pregnancies.
Avatar f tn I thought it could be due to the heat in house (you know how the dry air can cause that), but now they are happening to him at work.
Avatar m tn Hi, I am a 22 year old male and for the past 4 years or so I've been having nosebleeds about once every 4 days on average. The nosebleeds are always out of my left nostril and only last a few minutes. I think that they used to bleed heavier than they do currently. They occur all year around and my blood pressure is normal, maybe a little high. I'm not overweight but am out of shape and get little exercise.
Avatar f tn I have blood in my nose every morning my midwife says its normal
Avatar n tn Antidepressants that may not cause nosebleeds include Wellbutrin or tri-cyclic antidepressants. Consider discussing these options with your physician.
5437392 tn?1374888070 Nosebleeds are very common during pregnancy for two reasons. Number one, your blood volume increases by something like 40% while your pregnant, which can cause more pressure on the blood vessles in your nose and number two, your nasal cavity is more prone to swelling and dryness due to allergies and minor infections during pregnancy, which can both cause nosebleeds. I haven't had any myself, though I have had a little more "stuffyness" than normal. Take care!
Avatar f tn Trauma and certain medical conditions, such as high blood pressure or a clotting disorder, may cause nosebleeds as well. How can I stop a nosebleed? When your nose starts to bleed, sit down, keep your head higher than your heart, and put pressure on the bleeding nostril for five to ten minutes. (Use a watch — it's longer than you think.) Using your thumb and the side of your bent index finger, firmly pinch the whole soft lower part of your nose and exert pressure toward your face.
Avatar f tn What could cause weekly nosebleeds on the right side once a week at this time of year?
Avatar f tn Has anybody else been having nosebleeds lately? im 31+5 and today was my first time while pregnant that my nose has bleed. well actually it was twice in less than 2 hours. is this something to worry about? Or is it normal?
Avatar f tn Yes, it's totally normal. I used to get them every single day with my second preg. My dr. was never concerned about it.
Avatar n tn I'll have to recheck the listed side effects, but to my immediate knowledge I haven't seen any posted for nosebleeds. There are other factors that can cause nosebleeds. Its worth doing a search on nosebleeds to see the causes. Some are simple things like dry weather that can be cleared up with an application of Vaseline inside the nose.
Avatar m tn I am a 16 year old female, and for about the past half of a year, I've been getting nosebleeds at an increasing regularity. I haven't been hit on the head before these nosebleeds, and I haven't jarred myself. I also don't feel them coming on at all. The last time that I had a nosebleed, which was a little less than a week ago, I also coughed up a little bit of blood, but I'm pretty sure that was only because it was in my sinuses.
Avatar f tn I have infrequent nosebleeds and was prescribed Premarin cream for my nasal passages. I also have eustation tube dysfunction and was wondering could all this be related? My father also had nose bleeds and formed a clot and died from a pulmonary embolism. Is there any other way to tell why my nose bleeds? I had two in one day which is unusual and it happens in all the seasons.
Avatar n tn Yes, increased blood volume means more likely to have nosebleeds. I also never got nosebleeds, but this entire pregnancy I have bloody snot rags every time I blow my nose. Sorry if tmi.
Avatar f tn Pregnancy can cause the blood vessels in your nose to expand, and your increased blood supply puts more pressure on those vessels, causing them to rupture more easily n such!
Avatar f tn My son is experiencing Insomnia, dizziness, fatigue, blackouts, headaches, frequent nosebleeds & now he is having extreme nightmares, halucinations & hearing voices and this has all gotten so incredibly worse in this past year. Does anyone have an idea of what migh be going on, please help???
Avatar f tn During the first few weeks of pregnancy has anyone experiecnced nosebleeds? I've been reading about it but never heard of this happening before I looked it up. It doesn't seem like a common symptom. I'm only about 7 weeks and this past week I've had a few nosebleeds, I've never had them before. I'm hoping it's normal and will stop soon. Any advice???
Avatar f tn My best advice would be to try a humidifier. If you live in a dry climate, that may cause frequent nosebleeds. if not, she might be getting bloody noses from her illness.
872425 tn?1239829665 hey, i have nosebleeds but i always had trouble sleeping...
Avatar f tn I hope so cause I have the same issue
Avatar f tn ve been getting nosebleeds more frequently after only having one once. I also feel nauseous a lot of the time but have only vomited once or twice. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could possibly be wrong? Thanks for your time.
Avatar m tn The dryness in the air can cause nosebleeds as well, but not as often as she seems to be getting them. Wont hurt to ask about polyps. Good luck :) P.S. My neice's nosebleeds were really bad. There were quite a few clots that came out when she would get them. I know it sounds gross, but wondered if your daughter has the clots as well??
Avatar n tn My daughter used to get nosebleeds almost everyday, especially when she would take a shower. I had to take her to the doctor a few times because it was so bad. I myself had the same problem as a kid. I eventually had to have my nose cauderized because I had a horrible nosebleed one day that was like nothing I had ever seen. I was going to have the same done to her (she asked to have it done) before it got too bad.
