2 weeks after my last unprotected encounter, i have been experiencing drowsiness, and between 7pm and 8PM i start to get really sleepy which is not my usual. It's 4PM and the whole day today i feel like i wanted to lie down and sleep. i remember going to sleep last night at 8pm and waking up at 4am today. I think that is enough sleep, yet it feels like i wanted more.

I have been having drowsiness since past 4 months, sometimes with and without nausea. I have got my MRI of the brain, certain blood tests which were normal. one of the doctors diagnosed is as muscle spasm but i am so confused whats going on. please help me! Thanks!

You will just have to be on antibioitc drip. It should not cause any sort of drowsiness. I had to take an oral round on antibiotics and had a drip for a short time for my recent c section. No big deal. However, if you do not take the antibiotics, it can cause great harm to your baby. I was tested several times throughout my pregnancy. Testing started way before the 35th week.

I have never had to use it but, yes it can. Is this for seizures? I hope you are not self medicating with this drug.

Hi, I take the Rx Midrin for my (migraine type) headaches. It does say "may cause drowsiness" on the label, and it does make me a little fuzzy. It may not be the best if you need to study, but it does help me quite a bit. God bless you.

Coffee will just aggravate anxiety. All these drugs can cause drowsiness. Lexapro also makes me tired. Usually it goes away with time, or it doesn't, or it turns into insomnia or it doesn't. This is a serious question. I have looked online quite a bit for the answer to my problem, but I have always found the exact opposite: drowsiness CAUSING erections. I am 20, 6'5'' 180lbs. It is unlikely to cause any side effects like drowsiness. However, if you are taking anti histamines, to control nasal symptoms they are likely to cause drowsiness. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Also my doctor prescribed a medication called Provigil to help counteract the drowsiness caused by my medications because I do take several and all of them may cause drowsiness. Perhaps you can research Provigil and see if that may be an option for you, I know it has helped me tremendously. Good luck!

Im just worried about taking a new medication,, afraid it may cause the palpitations to be worse, better yet cause a dangerous arrythmia!! Any advice would be great!!

You just need to be careful cause i think yhey say they cause yeast infections which can be harmful to your baby. So i would just make sure your doctor is approving them.

It's also really important to note, these drugs don't work overnight, other then heavy anti-psychotics.. Lithium is a fantastic drug and it works fairly fast. I went rapidly downhill when I was finally weaned off the Cymbalta that I was on. Don't change the meds at all until you speak with her psychiatrist. Some drugs, especially the anti-psychotics can make a person quite drowsy at first, but it's better then her outbursts right?? The Lith is safe, very very safe.
