antibiotics and yeast

Does anyone know anything about BV and taking antibiotics for it? I just want more info about it, thank you.

I am 24 yr old with a very inactive sexual life. I had taken antibiotics (Cefspan) and Transamin (Tranexamic acid) thrice a day for 6 days for my ear bleeding as prescribed by the doctor. I had unprotected sex (used withdrawal method only) only on the 15th and 16th day of my 30-40 days cycle which was also my 5th day of antibiotics. I have normal blood flow during periods but the date is usually irregular. Now i still don't have my period.

d and its been itchy for a couple of days down there, I was looking on the internet and it said both antibiotics and pregnancy both can cause yeast infections, and my symptoms are those of a yeast infection... I just don't know what to do, I already have an OB appointment for Nov. 14th.. I need help what do I do..???

I have never used the cream. Omg I can only imagine how bad it hurts even puttin water down there gets me to a point I'm like ok let me just hurry up wash myself down there and be done. U should ask for antibiotics. So you won't have to put the cream down there and hurt even more.

I am worried about the potential of a yeast infection and was curious if it is safe to take multi-enzyme digestive enzymes, which are 100% vegetarian based. I know the benefits of eating yogurt, but to be very honest, it is making my stomach turn over the idea of eating it now. It is one of my new food aversions. I have taken these enzymes in the past and they have 100 million live lactobacillus acidophilus cells in it, which should be great for preventing yeast infections...can you advise?

I've finally broken down and taken the antibiotics. Temp was 100.2 today. 10 days of azythromyocin. 1 pill a day. Dr. said its safe for pregnancy. I'm also taking probiotics to counteract yeast. Has anyone else been in this situation? Was your pregnancy and baby okay? I'm so worried.

got tested for everything didnt have a yeast std or a uti it was just hormons and I just got ointment and it worked..

Now I have noticed that I am very sore down there, and somewhat itchy. Im thinking I may have gotten a yeast infection from the antibiotics. What is safe to use?

Hey I have had a UTI and had to take antibiotics.... BUT with my first baby boy I had a urinary tract infection every single doctor's appointment that I went to =( I had to take antibiotics the whole time (for 8 months) and he was perfectly healthy except for a little jaundice (but being born at 36 weeks he was really healthy) and besides the stomach aches and vomiting that the antibiotics caused it really did no harm =) I hope you feel better soon!

Most antibiotics are safe during pregnancy. If you told your primary Dr that you were pregnant they would've chosen meds safe for you. I've been on them twice so far and I'm almost 29 weeks and baby is great.

Four days ago I finished antibiotics for cervisitis, vaginosis, and a fungal infection, no I am having a burning, itchy, brown clumpy discharge. My question is, Why are the symptoms occuring after and what could this be?

Okay guys. I'm freaking out because I found out a 4 weeks I was pregnant, then at 5 I got strep throat. Dr. prescribed Amoxicillin and I took it. Now, looking back I'm really really afraid I may have hurt my baby (I'm 9 weeks now) I understand that I had to take it or it the strep could have hurt the baby. Now, to top it all off, I got a yeast infection from the antibiotics and I don't know what to do. I'm mortified at the idea of taking another medicine. HELP!!!!!!!!!!

I am waiting for a test result to see if I have Hpylori, I am allergic to the antibiotics suggested but okay with amoxicillin, can it be cured with this anti biotic (alone) and zantac as I'm also a rare person and allergic to ppi's?!? The yeast infection is from the antibiotics. You need to call the doctor and report what is going on. Your kidneys are very important and you can't mess around. Once you are done with antibiotics, you can take a probiotic to get your bacterial flora back to normal. You can use a cream to control symptoms now.

Alot of antibiotics will cause yeast infections. I've never heard of them causing miscarriage tho.
