depends on which IUD....if it's the copper one, no effect. and even if it's the one that releases hormones the effect should be minimal because not only does the IUD use hormones to prevent pregnancy but the placement of the IUD itself can actually affect ovulation and the chances of pregnancy.. but the truth about risk of pregnancy due to taking antibiotics concurrently is iffy.

They say its a class B which means there arent any studies whether its safe or not. 16wks and have a sinus infection and I'm wondering has anyone taken a Z-pack for antibiotics and had any complications?

Most antibiotics are safe to take during pregnancy, and that is one of them. The risk of am active infection is much worse. Take the antibiotics.

I'm getting tested for GBS tomorrow and I hear a lot of women are positive for it and I waz wondering if I test positive can I still do water birth because they have to do antibiotics in the IV when yoir in labor every 2 or 4 hours I believe until the baby comes so the baby doesn't get infected. Does anyone know if I can still waterbirth?

The tetracyclines can discolor teeth in developing children, so pregnanct women and children under 8 (or older for those with delayed teeth) shouldn't take them. I haven't heard of any tooth discoloration in adults.

Yes, I finished the antibiotics. My Dr. Told me that it's healing and to continue to drink water and cranberry juice. I hope the uti is going away...I don't feel anymore pain from it. I'm going to start taking cranberry pills just in case.

I found out today that blood tests done 3 weeks ago came back positive for strep b, they gave me antibiotics but I'm hoping no harm would have already been caused to bubs. If you're worried then go get it. Antibiotics can counter act birth control and make it ineffective.

And non-STD urinary tract infections are rare in men, especially under agoe 40 or so. Was this self-treatment or prescribed? If the latter, what did your examination and testing show? there is no interaction but antibiotics are the drugs with the most damage for liver and kidneys and also lower immune system so if it is just a week of antibiotics it is no problem, just monitor kidneys creatinine and liver function after antibiotics note that also blueberries can treat UTI and i guess if it is not severe they might help as much as antibiotics lowering alt and fibrosis at the same time.

I had this with my last two with my daughter I had the antibiotics she was just fine with my son he was born 7-1-12 he came WAY TO FAST no time for antibiotics and he was born just fine
