1634778 tn?1300793968 I would like to know of any natural or alternative methods of vaccination and immunization for children and adults. I have decided to forgo vaccinations for my children because of all the side effects and risks, but since we will be traveling to other countries I need to know how to get the vaccinations I need without going the formal route with all its damages and side effects.
Avatar n tn May I ask the age of the child and has she had multiple vaccinations recently ?
5194006 tn?1380819887 my decision is based on so much more then just my niece, also based on myself and my experience with vaccinations and my nephews and brothers, a few friends and my research. I have done so much research the last 7 months, and couldn't believe all the information I got. And I will regret it if I get her vaccinated! I developed so many problems after I got certain vaccinations, and now suffer from serious disorders. She doesn't have to go through that if I prevent it.
Avatar n tn If you notice any swelling, redness, pus or offensive odour coming from the wound or if it becomes more painful see a doctor as you might need antibiotics. Also are your tetanus vaccinations up to date?
Avatar f tn expressed the glands and said they were moderately full but no blood or pus. I went home with antibiotics, pain and antinausea meds. As soon as we got home he had a very liquid and blood bowel movement. I tried calling the vet as soon as it happened but they had already gone for the day. Does anyone know if this is normal after expression?
Avatar m tn is 14 months old,2 months ago she started vomiting foam and had slimy diarrhea and wouldnt eat,we took her to the vet and since she is current wit all her vaccinations he said it was prob just a virus, gave her an iv and some antibiotics, she was fine within 24 hours but she then went into her first heat cycle ever and it lasted for over 6 weeks, now she is sick with the same thing again, its sunday night and i havent gotten a call back from the vet yet,she nearly dehydrated last time since she onl
Avatar f tn I never had any vaccinations myself growing up and I never caught any diseases, and have an extremely strong immune system.
Avatar f tn This is a touchy subject. The studies in autism and vaccinations have been recalled and the Dr who did them fabricated his findings. Meningitis, chicken pox, measles, mumps and even the plague have resurfaced due to ppl kit vaccinating kids. The mmr, measles, mumps rubela ( rybela is chicken pox) can be given in seperate doses if your leery of all 3 at once. I'm an RN and ppl not vaccinating children is a shame. Chicken pox can kill!
Avatar f tn Some things I would look at are the link between pertusis and SIDS, the truth about the polio vaccine, the statistics on when diseases decreased (its before the vaccine was introduced in pretty much all cases), and doctors against vaccinations. Thay should give you a good start, there is a lot to think about! Good luck!
Avatar n tn I'm in the same boat. Not sure how to feel about vaccinating my baby. I vaccinated my two other kids and thank God they are fine. I've been doing research and just reading the side effects are scary. There is other alternatives, I'm going to spread them out and leave out the ones that are not necessary. You should research on it and do what you think is best for your baby.
1608004 tn?1390770990 my boys are indoor only also except for walks on a leash in the backyard with me, they too never come in contact with other cats. they are 9 and 10 yrs old and after finding out all the info abt vaccinations I stopped theirs as well abt 5 yrs ago...
689528 tn?1364135841 I'm completely on the fence about whether to vaccinate our child or not. I work with a boy with Autism and do not really believe that vaccinations are the cause of Autism but it has educated me more on vaccinations and what they consist of and it just doesn't really seem right to me. I know the majority of people do vaccinate their children and don't get me wrong....I think it's a parent's choice and either choice does not make them a bad parent by any means.
1244180 tn?1325899111 When you enrol you have to show that they have been vaccinated and that their vaccinations are up to date. I am not actually sure what happens to those parents that choose not to vaccinate their children. To encourage parents to vaccinate their children they also stop government payments if your child's vaccination lapses. Over here you get what is called famiy tax benefit for working parents.
Avatar m tn Vaccine protocols have been changed in recent years to say that animals do not need to be vaccinated every year as long as they show an adequate immune response, and when they DO receive their vaccinations, they are to be given in the leg and not in the hip or the scruff of the neck.
427382 tn?1298209586 I also asked her if she gives her kids the same shots and if she leaves any out! haha She is young and has a baby and is about to have another so I figured if she did it then it might be ok. She said she got her kids completely vaccinated. So yeah... I am not sure yet what I think about MMR. I am going to do some research but I have read that doctors are nervous that there is going to be a sudden rise of these diseases since so many people refuse to get their kids vaccinated..
231441 tn?1333892766 ladies, this is a can of worms. What are your feelings about vaccinations? I am trying to find good informations. The fors and againsts are all so vehement it's hard to know what the middle line is. Baby is 2/3 though her heb b shots, but now doc is asking me to do the 5 in 1. Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Tetanus, Pertuitus (I think)...... need to research some more....
229857 tn?1319029907 There is a rise in preventable disease because of the large number of immigrants that come into this country without vaccinations and from the children who are not vaccinated contracting these diseases and spreading them further. Therefore, if I chose not to vaccinate my child I should expect that my child would be get at least one disease. My brother is in medical school out east right now and sees some pretty incredible things in the pediatric dept. of the hospital.
Avatar n tn I agree that 5-8 in one shot does sound a bit extreme. I don't recall having that many in a shot in my life time.... You can try Eldermom's suggestion about waiting and see if you can get 1 at a time (and free of Thermisol). As far as whether autism is "caused" by vaccines that seems to be debatable and I'm not sure either way. I've read convincing evidence on both sides.
Avatar f tn My thoughts are community immunity does NOT work. Its not only now you are having to think of its later on when your kids are grown up and how it will effect them. There are some things in life we can't avoid and some we can prevent.
Avatar f tn Whatever they tell me to give her i will I did with my first and I just listen to what the docs and nurses tell me!
Avatar f tn I got all 3 of my kids vaccinated and prego with my 4th and going to get him vaccinated as well. If you want your child to go to school then they have to be vaccinated.
Avatar f tn I am! Just read an article on the amount of diseases that are slowly coming back due to the decline in child vaccinations!
Avatar m tn I would like to know if vaccinations can be given to a dog if they have early signs of distemper? Just happened to be reading info on canine distemper and my 7 yr old dog might have distemper, will be taking her to vet tomorrow and am wondering if they will vaccinate her if she has or is getting distemper. Would appreciate a comment, thank you!
8139104 tn?1419976395 Got the whooping cough vaccination today and now my arm is absolutely killing me! Cannot deal with this AND all the pregancy pain!
583001 tn?1218145864 Of course, remember if she travels abroad to less developed countries, she will be at greatly increased risk for disease. And, of course, she is still at some risk in the US for diseases that aren't yet fully eradicated.
