antibiotics

Avatar n tn stay away from the tanning solons the tanning beds will dry your skin out and you will age long before your tme.also can irritate the skin and causing you to break out.vitamin e works well on those kind of skin blemishes.
Avatar f tn I went to the tanner yesterday(no more free tanning in the yard - too cold!) and noticed that a few minutes into the tan, the itching eased up considerably and amost went away entirely for a few hours afterwards. I plan on going back to the tanner in a few days to see if I get the same results - and I'm wondering if the UV rays from the tanning bed will eventually clear this rash up. Any ideas or suggestions?
Avatar n tn The only place I get them in between by boobs and under my boobs. everywhere else is tanning just fine with out a problem. I was curious if anyone is still having these problem's and have your found any way to make it better? This discussion is related to tanning.
Avatar n tn I went tanning a few days ago and noticed a red burning rash on my hip the following day. The bumps started out red but looked like blisters with a white glow. They have since turned black in color. What do you think it could be?
Avatar n tn Ive recently went in about 3 days ago and used a tanning lotion for a faster darker skin achievement. I used it once before and was pretty satisfied. But this time I noticed I got red spots/pimples right after the sesion. Could be an allergy that only appeared now? I was sun bathing the day before could that have something to do with it? Also I used a moisturiser that morning. Could it react with the tanning lotion and cause the spots to appear? What is it and how can I make them disappear?
Avatar f tn Would it be a good idea to go tanning at a tanning salon? And regardless what tanning lotion is best to use while pregnant?
Avatar f tn s possible to get an allergic reaction to suntanning, and also you could have a problem from tanning if you are on certain antibiotics. I hate to second the notion that you have already rejected, but it's kind of crazy to tan. Based on how my mother-in-law's arms looked, tanning a lot early in life gives you cooked-turkey looking skin later in life, and at 19 you look beautiful enough without the help of tanning.
Avatar n tn We are currently treating it as eczema and he is on elidel and triamcinolone cream, we have tried tanning beds and bleach baths. No relieve, this has been going since last Nov. The dermatologist wants to put him on methotraxate (sp?) (chemo drug). I am nervous, any advice???? He also has a history of lymes disease a few years ago..any possible connection?????
Avatar m tn About a week or two ago I noticed bumps on my crotch area (where my thigh meets my pubic region). They aren't very big in size, some of them have a "whitehead" at the top and some don't. I haven't had sex in about 8 months, so I doubt it could be an STD. I thought if I left them alone they would go away, but they still haven't. However, I have been using a tanning bed, and a sauna every day since then, which I've read is bad for this sort of thing.
Avatar f tn I am a 23 year old, and was diagnosed over a month ago with persistent (gestational) trophoblastic disease, but have not yet received chemotherapy treatment. I've used tanning beds on and off since my teenage years (never more than once a week as of the past couple years). My question is- will it affect my type of cancer if I were to go tanning in a salon? I understand I should avoid any type of UV rays once I start chemo... but as of right now, is it okay to do so?
Avatar m tn Yes, and a couple of more things to be aware of: If you have ever had a bad sunburn between your breasts then you will be suseptible to rashes in that area. After tanning, if at all possible, make sure that you take off your bra, put on a clean all cotton tshirt that will allow your skin to breathe. I agree whole-heartedly with the post about not putting lotion on the affected area. Powder/cornstarch is the best. Don't rub or scratch the area or it will get worse.
1352717 tn?1276971442 d put my money toward a massage instead of tanning. Not as dangerous, and so much better at soothing aches and pains and spastic muscles. Just my $0.
Avatar n tn We have had a very big campaign in Australia to try to ban indoor tanning. A girl died from a melanoma caused by indoor tanning. Many of the salons have closed do to not knowing the ramifications of it. If you go to a salon make sure they know the rules and regulations on how long etc you should be doing it. Quite honestly it is a dangerous thing as the UV rays are up to 100% stronger than the outdoor sun. So do take care!!! This is regardless of any thyroid or other problem!
Avatar f tn Mrsa is treatable during pregnancy and if you have symptoms go in and they can lance it open and swab it, they will put you on antibiotics and probably send you home with papers on cellulitious and wait for the culture to come back (which takes 3 days). They will probably prescribe you bactrim, and in serious cases they will have to give you iv antibiotics (vancomycin) for a couple of days.
330481 tn?1309488243 I hate tanning beds because I hate laying in there for 20 minutes...and driving there and all that....yuck. Plus this will make you look younger longer. I honestly don't think it would mess with your temp. I guess it could but I would think your internal temp would be the same. Now if you had sun poisening and you were running a fever it is adifferent story. But I don't think that is the case here! Good luck! Let me know how you are doing!
Avatar n tn Now I am left with the whole bottom of my face blotchy and discolored, my neck the same and white spots on my stomach and back around my shoulder blades. I read that apple cidder vinegar and/or tanning would help. I am so lost and confused. I was diagnosed with 2 differ things by 2 differ drs here and not sure where to go to next since this is a new environment for me I am scared to go to anymore drs in this area.
Avatar f tn I'm going to be 33weeks tomorrow I'm having a little girl My babyshower is in a week and im so ready but not ready to have my baby ... I'm ready in the since that my back is killing me and I'm always tired and I want my body back lol ...
Avatar f tn The next day or the day after, I went to the gym and after my workout used the stand up tanning bed. I noticed in the bed these spots under the UV lighting, what looked like a red rash and thought it had something to do with the heat from laser + tanning. Unfortunately, these spots are now visible around my bikini area and lower navel area (also treated with laser hair removal). They are a tan color and when I shower, they get darker.
318269 tn?1241350235 Hi, I'm 9 dpo and I've been tanning a couple times a week will or can this effect my conceiving?
Avatar f tn my OB said tanning while breastfeeding is fine....
527940 tn?1212666659 I am 42 will turn 43 in August. I am trying to get pregnant. Just started trying. I have been tanning for several years and I am curious to find out if I am jeporadizing my chances of getting pregnant by going to the tanning bed.
Avatar n tn When I first started tanning, I started to notice a darker coloration in pigment below my eyes, on my check, lips, and nose, and I thought that I was getting freckles from tanning, but I asked the owner of the salon and he assured me to use Selsun Blue, because he said the darker smaller spots are a fungus that come about from the ulttraviolet rays from the tanning salon or extreme exposure to sun.
Avatar f tn I was also wondering if me tanning these past few months has anything to do with it? I have been tanning and I have fair skin and have gotten sun posining, but it usually goes away within a day or two and then I dont go back for a week and turn down my minutes. I try to be smart with it now. I normally got sun posioning on my tummy and now for half the time I put a T-shirt over it and havent had problems, but have noticed a little burnage on my butt and thighs.
Avatar f tn Get some aloe vera gel for the burn/blisters (pure aloe is best.) Also Tylenol or ibuprofen will help the pain a bit. Drink plenty of fluids. Orange juice is a good choice. I had a very bad burn once that caused me to be in the ER. They gave me IV fluids and told me about the ibuprofen and fluids. They specifically mentioned orange juice ... maybe for the potassium. Also, I'm sure you're already aware, but tanning isn't a good thing to do.
