I talked to the pharmacist and they said with my resistance to macrodatin (not sure of spelling) cipro and levaquin and allergy to penicillin, ceftin, and now batrium, not sure what they can do for me :o I can take Keflex but I'm reading that is most likely not to effective in treating UTI's. There are no contraindications whatsoever to taking two antibiotics and a strong arguement to continue with the first antibiotic as per doctor's orders and simultaneously take the second. Generally medical practice is not to over-use antibiotics to prevent the development of resistant strains.

I had the oral thrush first and I thought maybe it was because I had my gallbladder removed and might have been from the liquid lortab they gave me for pain. I must say that because of the damage that chlamydia can cause in the female reproductive tract if it ascends into the fallopian tubes (eg infertility) and because the antibiotics used to treat the condition are so simple and UNlikely to cause side effects or reactions, I think that the risk-benefit ratio strongly points to taking the antibiotics.
