Avatar f tn A few month ago I noticed my scalp being super itchy and I had dandruff, I then notices a couple of small dry itchy patches of skin on my back and upper legs. So I used the cream (Daktacort) on these patches and uses the medicated shampoo. As I work in Dance/Fitness my job requires me to sweat a lot usually 4/5 times a week. 8 weeks ago I began to notice more and more patches and I would start waking up a night with severe itching.

Avatar n tn It is a pigmentation disorder in which melanocytes (the cells that make pigment) in the skin are destroyed. As a result, white patches appear on the skin in different parts of the body. Diagnosis can be confirmed by external examination, blood tests to check skin cell count for melanocytes and biopsy of the skin patches. Once the diagnosis is confirmed, treatment can be planned.
1327431 tn?1327072104 The thyroid antibodies make you sun sensitive and yes, I too have an olive skin and always have had one but only dark patches (pigmentation) like pregnancy hormone patches whilst I was on anti-thyroid meds as they upset my liver enzymes. Once the anti-thyroid meds were stopped, the liver enzymes went back to normal. Hope that helps.
Avatar f tn I've always been quite healthy, but lately my skin has broken out into a rash. It doesn't hurt at all, but it comes out in small patches, and the bigger patches have started to flake. It started just under my fringe and I don't have many patches on my face, but it has been travelling down my neck to my breasts, back and stomach. I'm really self concious about it as I've never had skin problems before, but it is spreading quite rapidly.
Avatar m tn i normally have rashes that turn into white patches on my skin. they normally appear on my back, neck, breast and recently on my face. it sometimes spread from one region to the other. the rashes are normally itchy but reduce after being turned into white patches.
Avatar f tn I've just recently started developing a couple of round patches of dry skin on my body. First one and now another. They do not repond to any kind of moisturizing, no matter what I use and they do not go away! There are no raised edges nor does there seem to be any abnormal color change to the skin... just the dry patch that feels rough to the touch, kind of like sandpaper. The rest of my body seems absolutely fine so far.
Avatar f tn For as long as I can remember, I have had these patches of redness on my face. There's two patches, on the area of skin right next to my nose (about where my cheekbone ends) one on my chin, and a little one in between my eyebrows. It is red, and contains small bumps clustered together, but as far as I know it is not acne. It can't be popped, but it does feel slightly raised. It is not dry skin, because I apply moisturizer daily, and not roseca.
Avatar n tn Lidoderm, unlike Flector patches and Voltaren gel, is not a topical anti-inflammatory but rather a numbing medicine applied to the skin. 4) An over the counter option, though not as well studied, is Aspercreme cream, which is a topical salicylate (aspirin) pain reliever. It works by reducing swelling and inflammation in the muscle and joints. Take care!
