Common Questions and Answers about Anti aging products skin care

Avatar n tn Currently manufacturers of skin products have been trying to provide a wide array of skin care products to suit each skin type. For an individual to get the best skin care, one should follow a particular regimen of cleansing, toning , exfoliating and moisturizing. As one grows older however, exfoliation may damage the thinning skin. Cleansing and moisturizing are still essential as one ages. The use of sunscreen for the face is still a must.

Avatar f tn I naturally have sensitive skin, but since I got towards the end of the 1st trimester, I've found that my forehead gets incredibly dry and flaky. Is this (dry skin) a symptom of pregnancy? What's the best product to use to moisturize super dry skin? Are there products (lotions and moisturizers) I should avoid while pregnant? First time mom at 11w+4, so I apologize if I seem naive.
1064785 tn?1406638398 I do not know if there is anything specifically geared towards pregnancy- I am sure there is. I like the 'skin deep' section on the environemental working groups page. Please know it is kind of overly-cautious, but at least you can see why somethings are worse for you than others and what the ingredients are that shoud be avoided. Hope this helps! Congrats on your tww! Stick and grow baby!

Avatar f tn I did go to a Aesthetician for some regiment to use on my face since I have really never used skin care products. The product that was recommended for my face and the issues I mentioned was Obagi System by NU-Derm. I went with my girlfriend to her Dermatologist and who has the same problems as I and they recommended Revalskin cleanser, SkinCeuticals serum 15, Ultimate UV SPF 30, B5 Gel and Neova Creme De La Copper to her and I.
250155 tn?1485295939 how long is a fair amount of time to give a new skin care routine to know if its working or not?
8975030 tn?1402144712 Johnson's baby products made my baby's skin break out terribly bad so I switched to the aveeno baby products and I plan on using aveeno with this baby also. I'm not even fooling with Johnson's this time.
Avatar n tn I am constantly reading about skin care and I reread and reread my skin care books which tell me which products are good. I have tried them all and I never feel like I can be satisfied with what I'm using. I have returned so many skin care products that I am now the talk of head of office of Shoppers Drug Mart; I am no longer allowed to return products. I feel incredibly anxiety. Am I alone? Do I have OCD? I have just realized reading other posts than I have scalp picking, too.
2065676 tn?1331422440 My dermatologist recommended several skin care products for me. One that she recommended was Cetaphil. I use Dermalogica. Dermalogica has a sensitive skin line of products that has been helpful to me. I use all of the products in that line. I'm sure there are other sensitive skin products as well.
Avatar n tn Since these acne products increase cell turnover and exfoliation, I was wondering if extensive use could lead to premature aging of the skin. One of the components of aging is mutation via repeated DNA replication. The more times your body makes copies of its cells, the higher the chance of a mutation occurring and a less-than-perfect copy being made. So, does it follow that BP and SA, by increasing skin cell renewal, would hasten the aging process?
