4628530 tn?1369109086 ve done a lot of juicing and have changed my diet somewhat, and have been reading about anti-inflammatory foods. I learned that the paleo diet excludes many of these foods, but am not sure because of all the red meat. I'm all out of ideas, hungry, and breastfeeding. For those of you that have found some relief by changing your diet, what do your typical meals look like ( breakfast, lunch, dinner)? Any good recipes?

Avatar m tn I saw from an earlier post that a person had their dog diagnosed with histocytic sarcoma and Aleda Cheng referred to an anti cancer diet (high in protein, low in carb/starch). My dog had a spot on his back which was removed and the analysis determined it was histocytic sarcoma. We are in the process of determining by xrays/ultrasound if it has spread, but I would be interested in knowing what the anti cancer diet recommendation is.

739988 tn?1386672969 No Lovaza is not fish oil. It is an FDA approved anti-cholesterol medication that works similarily to fish oil, used off label for bipolar experimentally. I was almost prescribed it and my mother might be taking it for cyclothymia. Some mood disorders specialists and psychopharmocologists are already using it and other psychiatrists might be willing. Its usage is known. Its just not a first line mood stabilizer.
653138 tn?1258572904 Omega 3 oils are also anti-inflammatory. Supplementing with fish oil is probably a good idea. As to the meds you're on, you're in a pickle. The meds for the psychological illnesses are sedating, especially the seroquel and trazodone, and that leaves the body weaker to fight the energy-sapping fibromyalgia. I don't know what to tell you here, but it sounds to me like you're on too much medication.

1225070 tn?1344709174 Okay, I have heard so many people talking about the fish oils, so I went out and bought some yesterday. I have not yet taken them as I was concerned whether or not they were safe to take in the TWW. I bought Sundown Naturals 1000mg. I have found at least 2 different sites that have done studies on 5 diff. fish oils (sundown being one of them) that states all five had "insignificant" levels of mercury.
603543 tn?1255294450 My psychopharmocologist almost started me on it a while back but I ended up trying something else. However, he said its safer than fish oil, not because the fish oil itself is unsafe but being derived from actual fish it has some impurities such as mercury. He reccomended I start this rather than fish oil and its an actual prescription medication. He said he had dealt with mood disorders specialists who had good successes with it. People should find out about that.
