DDD is a completely normal part of the
aging process and is rarely symptomatic. Physical therapy,
anti-inflammatory medications, and spinal injections often provide adequate relief.
The source of nerve compression will be evident by an X-ray/CT scans. Incase of doubt you can go for a diagnostic nerve block to identify the source.
Spinal fusion or disc implantation surgeries are the common surgeries for chronic DDD. Spinal fusion procedure and internal fixation devices are utilized.
