Avatar n tn I suggest the use of products that are hypoallergenic and also with organic ingredients such as vitamin C and E. Anti aging products may also be beneficial especially for women with fine lines and wrinkles. A healthy diet, decrease intake of fatty food, cessation of smoking, adequate sleep and daily exercise will ensure not just great skin but also a healthy body in general.
Avatar m tn Aging 15 yrs...weighing 150 pounds.....cycling and aerobics haven't contributed to my weight loss....i want to lose 10-20 pounds as soon as possible.....any suggestions in diet planning?
Avatar n tn Take failures as learning lessons and build on it. Look at both sides, bad and good, and try to begin and end the day with a positive. Do something meaningful for yourself and others. Don't bury yourself in a pre-made coffin lined with regrets, negativity, sourness, pessismism and narrowness, because it makes other people not want to be around you all the time and it makes you miserable. Don't listen to the depression. Take the help and support.
Avatar f tn A very large portion the aging adult has some calcification. Proper diet, exercise, can slow down the process or stop. Hope this provides some insight for your questions, and if you have any further questions you are welcome to respond.
Avatar m tn From schaeff ... should have added to above ... I feel fine. No chest pain, no shortness of breath at any time.
Avatar n tn I dont think it was because of the anti depressants i think it was just my diet and lack of exercise. It isnt worth it for me to go off the anti depressants either because it will just make me gain more weight and incredibly depressed. All i can say is ask your doctor.
Avatar m tn DDD is a completely normal part of the aging process and is rarely symptomatic. Physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medications, and spinal injections often provide adequate relief. The source of nerve compression will be evident by an X-ray/CT scans. Incase of doubt you can go for a diagnostic nerve block to identify the source. Spinal fusion or disc implantation surgeries are the common surgeries for chronic DDD. Spinal fusion procedure and internal fixation devices are utilized.
Avatar f tn While he was put on a regime of steroids he kept the side-effects to a minimim by practicing a low-carb diet and exercise. I know steroids are not good on the liver and increase the VL. When I was first diagnosed with Hep C I couldn't get a biopsy because my platelets were so low. I couldn't take the steroids because of their reaction with Hep C.
Avatar f tn m afraid my new diet plan is not helping. I now eat alot of fruits and veggie and only have one serving of meat a day (usually a chicken cutlet the size of my palm). I run almost every alternate day and cycle occasionally. The average distance I run each time is between 5km to 7km; sometimes 8km on a good day. I usually complete my 5km runs in 40-45 minutes. Do you think I need to increase my meat intake to build more muscles so I can burn off more fat?? Thank You.
Avatar f tn Is it possible to reverse hypo with diet and exercise? And once you start meds is it possible to not need them in the future?
Avatar m tn Great info as always from txsilver. Also could be caused by genetic defect such as shallow hip sockets, this caused Olympian Mary Lou Retton to have both hips replaced. Also could be caused by mycoplasma, tiny organism without cell walls and receptors, this can be detected by live blood analysis - I am working with this right now and definitely seeing improvement, less pain and I'm completely off Motrin which is good because it was causing gut problems for me.
Avatar f tn You blood pressure and cholesterol are under good control. I am assuming that you do not have diabetes. You have some family history, which unfortunately, can't be modified. The fact that you exercise, don't smoke and eat a healthy diet are all good and you should keep up with them. Make sure you have someone follow your MVP and keep taking the synthroid for the hypothyroidism. I am assuming that the inderal is for palpitations from MVP and the ASA is for pure prophylaxis.
Avatar f tn I got back on wellbutrin and have managed to lose 42 lbs since the first of the year. My diet and exercise routine are the key to weight loss and the initial weight gain. Speak with your doctor about making some diet and exercise changes, have your thyroid looked at. Try that and let me know whats happening. Best of luck.
1028452 tn?1537448484 The most consistent, enthusiastic exercisers are those who do activities they like, whether it’s dancing, hiking or aqua aerobics. Exercise has a strong, anti-aging effect on cells’ DNA. It influences telomeres, “caps” at the ends of DNA strands, kind of like the tips on shoelaces, which protect chromosomes from destruction. Telomeres shorten progressively over time, leading to cellular damage due to the inability of the cell to duplicate itself correctly.
Avatar f tn Performing certain exercises in certain areas of the body to lose fat in those areas is one of the biggest myths floating around... Unfortunately, your body will burn the fat wherever it sees fit, which is determined by your genes. Doing both cardiovascular and strength exercises are crucial to losing fat mass, but there's no specific exercise(s) that will burn fat from the abdominal area.
Avatar m tn I also to an exercise called Qi Gong its basically slow movements of the body that helps transfer energies and align your chakra and also really helps relieve stress.. The last thing I do is something called emotional freedom technique or EFT this is a series of tapping while repeating an affirmation and it helps to not only alleviate physical symptoms but it helps get rid of stress....
Avatar n tn Nothing else changed in my diet or exercise routine. I lost 2 lbs last week, which is alot for me. I lost this while exercising the same amount yet eating more due to feeling starved. I also felt very emotionally balanced, calm, relaxed, happy, felt really good. I also got a surge of energy on day 5 (like I could clean my whole house and yours top to bottom energy).
