Avatar n tn When you say that she displays many symptoms of anorexia (in spite of eating three meals/day), what do you mean? What are the symptoms you are noticing?
Avatar f tn Also, there is a possibility that she wants you to start eating so that you do not suffer from the side effects of anorexia. Anyways, please clear this with her so that this does not affect your relationship. Also, if you have anorexia, please try and consult a therapist dealing with eating disorders. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
1305767 tn?1361192676 I had never had heartburn or anything before ( my brother has it so I thought I knew the symptoms) but I agreed to take the medicine they gave me (basically an uber antiacid). IT DID WORK. However, there were other side effects FOR ME that make this a difficult medication to take.

Avatar f tn Yes, that is what it is. You are showing anorexic symptoms and it will only get worse. Talk to a counselor at school, your doctor, or another trusted adult and have them refer you to a therapist experienced with eating disorders. Your ED is related to how you feel about yourself and you need help working through both so you can go on to live a good life. Please do it soon.
918035 tn?1274644533 From what you have written in your post, I think you are still experiencing some symptoms of Anorexia. The best thing to do with this disorder is to consult a psychologist that could make counseling with you so that doctors may find the appropriate treatment to your illness.
Avatar f tn i suffered from anorexia an still have blips from time to time is this the cause of my PCOS? have i caused my infertility???
Avatar f tn Yes you can have stomach pain along with many other symptoms. Anorexia and Anorexia Nervosa are actually two different things.. Anorexia is simply not eating, it doesn't necessarily mean you don't WANT to eat, just a lack of eating for whatever reason. Anorexia Nervosa (what people are usually talking about when they use the term Anorexia) is when you don't eat because you think you are fat, or you have a strong fear of gaining weight.
Avatar f tn If you have eating behavior not clearly defined as anorexia or bulimia, its called Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified or EDNOS. I want to tell you that you are a very strong person to recognize this and that you want to change it. That is the first step. I'm not a professional, but I think you would benefit from talking to someone who can help you understand your habits and feelings of the loss of control.
918035 tn?1274644533 You have many symptoms of anorexia. Anorexia is not about the food, it's about underlying issues that causes a person to go away from food. I will advise you to speak to an adult. Hopefully, you could talk to your mom or dad. You need to get some professional help and support. You need to see a medical doctor just to check on your overall medical condition and growth.

Avatar n tn and i believe i find i had some symptoms very close to anorexia, like bad sleeping conditions, low blood sugar level, dizzy vision, etc... yet i never deliberately controlled my diet, nor did i use any drugs. i ran a lot, and ate relatively less(as i'm now studying overseas and have to eat unbearable boarding food...). and now these symptoms have alrdy passed, the only existing condition is the continuous dropping of my hair, and nothing more.
Avatar f tn Dear Meg34, You can go home. Colleges honor Anorexia as a medical withdrawal. With your current symptoms, you need support. You probably need an eating disorder treatment program: outpatient day treatment, residential treatment or possibly inpatient treatment. Go to your campus’ health center for your physical symptoms. Ask to speak with a counselor at school who has experience with eating disorders. The health center and counselor can help assist you to get the proper treatment.
Avatar f tn Anyone with a resting heart rate over 100 should be checked by a doctor, if just over 100, say even 120, I'd say in most cases it can be done on a non-emergency scheduled basis - depending on other symptoms. In your case and in the absence of any specific knowledge about anorexia I can't make a connection, but I suspect anorexia puts stress on one's body and that could be at least part of the driver for the above normal HR.
401095 tn?1351391770 falling down may not be a result of the seroquel but of the low weight she is at.because of the anorexia. With anorexia often comes depression which could also be the reason for the flat affect. I have had an eating disorder and she sounds very depressed from the way you describe her. And her weight sounds dangerously low. I would be seeking inpatient eating disorder treatment at a facility that also treats other psychiatric problems.
Avatar m tn Hello, Weight loss is one of the side effects of taking Accutane and it may cause anorexia as well. Eat a healthy nutritious diet and consult your doctor if weight loss is a major problem. You may need to be put on some other medication for acne rather than Accutane. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.
Avatar f tn I was wondering about the medical and social differences between patients with anorexia and patients with orthorexia, or if generally they are felt to be the same disease?
Avatar n tn I usually use 250 mg of Cipro for a 60-70 pound dog. However, the side effects of the Cipro should have subsided by now. Since the problem with your dog began as a vomiting issue did any of the vets discuss performing endoscopy, a barium study, or special dietary regiman? Did they discuss the possibility of food allergy gastritis? Did they mention giving your dog a medication called Celexa or Reglan, (or other medication that are anti-nausea and vomiting) medications?
