Avatar m tn I was excited to see this in the recent edition of 'CURE' magazine I received today. It looks like they have already donated over 2 million to finding a cure. Very impressive since it's not one of those 'popular' cancers that get all the funding! http://www.callawaygolf.com/Global/en-US/Corporate/CallawayGolfFoundationWomensCancerInitiative.
198419 tn?1360242356 and, while sitting on the sofa with you legs up, grab it, read the articles, put it down, only to pick it up again later and finish it? Or re-read it until it sinks in? I'm all for downloading issues on topic of interest of mags for free - but not ALL of them. I seriously miss some fact filled magazines that would come with the seasons. I miss the good stuff in the mail, Now it's all bills :( Is it just me? And, should I just learn to live with it because of the era we live in?
Avatar m tn It’s best not to force food down the throat of a person with anorexia. It is best to get medical help. If person eats less then protein and carbohydrate shakes can be given. Meat and vegetables can be pureed. Egg can be beaten into milk. The treatment involves various types of behavior therapies, nutritional guidance, medications to control hunger, food satiety, and exercise and yoga. Please consult a good psychologist/psychiatrist who specializes in eating disorders. Take care!
Avatar f tn t think it would but I have read alot of conflicting articles lol. I had anorexia fora very long time and though I am doing better now, I am still underwieght for my height.
Avatar f tn Oh, wait, I see you read a magazine article. You do know how magazines sell themselves, right? They go for the most extreme story, and even then it's always hard to make a connection between a death and the true cause. But I'm sure the magazine wasn't talking about vanilla panic attacks (and no, I'm not going to read the article -- lived too long, seen too many articles to get riled up by one at this point).
Avatar m tn [CONTINUE FROM MY PREVIOUS POSTING] My next concern is my body weight lost. I have studied a lot articles regarding sudden weight lost etc, it may due to pancreases cancer, colon disease. I even not dare to stand up on the weighting machine for 3 months until now. I have visited a hypnosis consultant during Mar–May 2013, because this anxiety caused me cannot sleep well, and wake up few times in a night and get dreaming for every night. It helped but I stopped the treatment until now.

272338 tn?1252280404 I have been recieving Womens Day magazine for quite some time now. I recently recieved my Sept. issue with a subscription renewal notice. I sat down and began reading the magazine, and by the time I finished, I had made up my mind that i would not renew my subscription. I found 2 advertisements regarding breast cancer for figurines that stated the proceeds would go towards the fight against breast cancer. Not one place in the magazine did I see even one mention of Ovarian cancer. Come on!
405614 tn?1329144114 I found a great article in AARP magazine (my roommate gets it) about mistakes doctors make, why they make them, and how to help yourself avoid these mistakes. All of us in limboland should be able to relate, and feel a little good that there is such an article in a national magazine. I hope you'll take the time to read it, and enjoy it as much as I did! http://www.aarpmagazine.org/health/why_doctors_make_mistakes.

8411000 tn?1464556711 Just seen an article on Lyme in the newest Runner's World magazine. I haven't read it yet, just a FYI.
Avatar f tn I have a similar issue only with printed books, or newspapers or magazine articles. Mainly because the font is way too small and I have tunnel vision so I always lose my spot. My fix was getting an e-reader such as a Kindle or iPad.
Avatar m tn http://www.medhelp.org/child-health/articles/The-Vaccine-Autism-Hoax-Why-Didnt-We-Know-Sooner/116 How about that the Lancet is trash magazine which doesn't its prestigious rating. It published a scientific fraudulous article obviously not throughly checked and reviewed or else the reviewers were lazy and incompetent. If the original study had not been published in the Lancet it would have got no attention.
Avatar f tn Ocycodone, as well as all opiates are relatively useless for foot pain. All you end up with is a drug habit. You do feel pleasant dreams, if that means anything. The pain comes from glial cell stimulation, which does not respond to an opiate. Percocet is unacceptable because of the liver damage. Accupuncture and a TENS device often work. Do a search on "scientific American" magazine. They had some excellent articles on management of chronic pain.

Avatar f tn Hypothyroidism is usually a weight gain issue not a weight loss issue. Most people find it difficult to lose weight even when excersing when hypo. Are you sure she is hypo? I know from my own personal experience I lost a ton of weight and actually was anorexic but not through starving myself, I ate like a horse! I had undiagnosed hyperthyroidism. It seems that if she had no period for all that time, it could well be hyperthyroidism.
382218 tn?1341181487 s can seem tedious, I am glad to offer my health data for them to continue in their research and watch over my progress or decline. It is needed information for research. I like their free magazine also. It contains alot of advertising, but that's they only way they can offer the magazine and still keep their cost down. The articles are very informative and it gives you the latest in research and studies being done. So I say it's been a good thing for me to continue with.
867582 tn?1311627397 Just because we Limbolanders are not officially diagnosed with MS doesn't mean that we can't go ahead and treat our condition ourselves! Hey, next year before summer even starts, I'm going to order a cooling vest and other cooling clothing articles to hopefully avoid some of the awful exacerbations I have had this summer (feel like I'm losing my vision)!! If you are affected by summer heat and not diagnosed, I suggest you do the same!!
Avatar f tn I have also included a link to the study I was talking about. It is discussed at length in the Smithsonian magazine. I hope it will offer you some insight. http://www.smithsonianmag.
Avatar f tn s studies, would disappear is the body was injected with a sequence of killed bacterial vaccines. Scientific American magazine published several articles on this treatment protocol and attributrf the remission to the fact that TNF (tumor necrosis factor) is generated with every killed bacterial vaccine injection. The theory is that the tumors grow because they are not on the body's "radar screen" and do not elicit a response as being "non-self".

12693075 tn?1442246392 If I run out of things to talk to my baby about I'll read out loud. Magazine articles or stuff on pinterest or even people's Facebook statuses. She doesn't understand what I'm saying anyway, and she can hear my voice.
