Common Questions and Answers about Anorexia diary

anorexia

Avatar m tn However, one should not become obsessed with it. To get a realistic view—log in what you eat. Keep a diary. Log in each food item you take, time at which you ate, purging if any or forced vomiting, laxative if any that you took etc. Basically a diary of what you ate—food, medicines etc, exercises you did—duration type of exercise etc. Consult the psychologist and nutrition expert with a diary of week-10 days.
Avatar f tn If you keep a diary of your menstrual cycle you can work out when your period is roughly due. If you are a week late, then that would lead strongly to you being pregnant, especially if you had unprotected sex. Periods can come late, when like SBJ1021 when she came off the birth control pill. It can come late if you drink excess alcohol, if you are ill, due to a hormone imbalance and also if you do not eat properly (people who have anorexia, for example).
Avatar n tn t know but anorexia and eating disorder are linked to depression, because of a low weight and your brain not functioning correctly. Its good that your wanting to gain weight though, its a promising sign. And just so long as you don't gain weight then try to keep it off and fast to compensate then perhaps not. Ask a friend your age and height to take an honest diary of what they eat in a normal week. See if you eat the same amount, if not then try to eat the same amount.

With anorexia the second you start to eat your body holds in everything including the fat because it knows you will starve it again. Also when you stop eating your body will start to eat itself (including your muscles). You can do this hun... keep it up and persevere.
179856 tn?1333547362 t know anything about Portia. I had no idea she suffered from anorexia nervosa. I assumed she had anorexia - eating disorder from any cause - and that is why I assumed the anorexia resulted from her cirrhosis. Now, that I have read the gossip/Oprah stuff I lean more towards Willy's opinion.

Avatar f tn Yes you can have stomach pain along with many other symptoms. Anorexia and Anorexia Nervosa are actually two different things.. Anorexia is simply not eating, it doesn't necessarily mean you don't WANT to eat, just a lack of eating for whatever reason. Anorexia Nervosa (what people are usually talking about when they use the term Anorexia) is when you don't eat because you think you are fat, or you have a strong fear of gaining weight.

918035 tn?1274644533 You have many symptoms of anorexia. Anorexia is not about the food, it's about underlying issues that causes a person to go away from food. I will advise you to speak to an adult. Hopefully, you could talk to your mom or dad. You need to get some professional help and support. You need to see a medical doctor just to check on your overall medical condition and growth.
Avatar m tn //www.webmd.com/mental-health/eating-disorders/anorexia-nervosa/mental-health-anorexia-nervosa#1. Diagnosis of eating disorders requires you to step outside of it and ask for help. Avatar f tn You maybe able to take Ginger Root for the nausea. It is available in the health food section. Write a diary. I keep a health diary for myself. Dates, times, symptoms, (from nausea to cramps, how many times I went to the bathroom, was it water or just loose.) what I ate or drank. It helped me search for the answers I needed, especially when you sit down with a doctor, and you may only have a few minutes to talk, I found I always forgot to mention something.
Avatar f tn Anyone with a resting heart rate over 100 should be checked by a doctor, if just over 100, say even 120, I'd say in most cases it can be done on a non-emergency scheduled basis - depending on other symptoms. In your case and in the absence of any specific knowledge about anorexia I can't make a connection, but I suspect anorexia puts stress on one's body and that could be at least part of the driver for the above normal HR.
