Avatar f tn What can I do about swollen ankles and feet. There swelling really bad. But I have to be on my feet at work.
Avatar n tn I also noticed both of my ankles (around the bone) was a little swollen when I got home. Today they are not as bad. I was wondering if swollen joints can be a symptom of lyme..I haven't heard much about it. I was also a little dizzy and slightly "out of it" that night. I must have walked a good 5 miles and my calfs were tight when I woke up this morning. I got a little sunburn on my legs and those areas tingled more than usual. Strange stuff!

941525 tn?1245298724 I have been experiencing very bloated, swollen, painful, stiff ankles for about a year now. If my pressure goes up above 110 over 70 flat, then my ankles swell a lot, and it takes doubling up on all hypertension medications to break the cycle and come all the way down to 110 over 70 flat.
Avatar f tn 17 weeks pregnant and I'm having swollen ankles. In the mornings they are normal, but by the evening they are a little swollen. Just wonder if that's normal this soon in my pregnancy.
Avatar m tn Reduced sodium (salt) in the diet and exercise regularly. Exercise, especially leg exercises, can also increase circulation, removing some of the fluid from your feet. Also elevate your legs above the heart while sleeping or sitting. Pls call your health care provider if ankle swelling persists or worsens after the above measures have been taken. Take care and do keep us posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn Anyway, very swollen ankles are NOT good. Also you unsteadiness should not be taken too lightly. Call your doctor asap.
Avatar f tn I am 21 weeks and already getting realy swollen ankles! I work full time as a nurse so I'm on my feet a lot. My blood pressure is stable and in a good range. Anyone else suffering from this??
615166 tn?1282303497 My feet, ankles and lower legs tend to swell most days, especially if I'm up on my feet all day (at work for example). But the doctor isn't concerned. I puff up all day and piddle all night. Perhaps it's just my old blood vessels aren't working as well as they used to. Don't have varicose veins so who knows? I follow a low sodium diet just because it's the smart thing to do. Also learned more about it when my Dad was diagnosed with heart failure. Wanted to support him.
408795 tn?1324935675 I've been having major problems with swollen ankles over and over. I am on a salt free diet and I eat as healthy as I possibly can. Does anyone else have the symptom of swelling and what do you do about it? My concern is that the area that swells is getting larger. One day last week my legs were swollen all the way up to my knees.
529224 tn?1400648219 No matter how old your daughter is, getting swollen feet and ankles should be investigated by the doctor. Advise your daughter to always wear comfortable and supportive shoes. Tell her to elevate her legs and feet as much as possible. Swollen legs and feet can be caused by a number of reasons, from hormonal problems, circulation (heart) and kidney problems (and kidney stones) as well as problems with the lymphatic system.
Avatar n tn I am almost 37 weeks pregnant, have mild gestational diabetes that is well controlled with diet and exercise. Last night, I noticed bilateral swelling of my thighs. I was on my feet all day; they feel slightly numb to the touch and definitely bloated. My feet and ankles, as well as the rest of my body, are normal. I have elevated my legs for several hours without much relief. I have gained almost 20 pounds this pregnancy and was slightly underweight, but healthy, prior to pregnancy.
419126 tn?1242412170 I have gained 13 pounds since June 26th. I am swollen too... my legs, hands, and ankles too girl! Yes, this weight could definitely be water weight! I think that is what mine is too considering I eat right and exercise!
1394194 tn?1282571416 My ankles are not swollen, So It must just be taken longer. Thank You. Cause Its just as big as it was when the tumor was in there.
Avatar f tn Maybe exercise them before you sleep. Move your ankles around in a circle and up and down. I too have swollen feet but mine are swollen all day and go down when I'm sleeping. But keeping them up and moving them seems to help.
10404685 tn?1418830427 I've tryed everything too keep my ankles and feet down , and nothing ..
Avatar f tn i'm 34 weeks and have been experiencing swollen ankles even in the morning when I wake up is this normal?
Avatar f tn I'm currently 15w and Saturday evening, my boyfriend and I went to an outdoor wedding. While we were waiting for the services to begin, I glanced down and noticed that both of my ankles had swollen to the size of softballs. I figured that it's nothing to be concerned over, I started propping them up when I noticed they were getting puffy yesterday, but I was still wondering if swollen feet were common this early in pregnancy or if I should be concerned? Thanks!
Avatar f tn Last two days my ankles have swollen to twice thier size at work besides drinking lots of water through out the day and resting when I get home. What else should I do? Im 25 weeks, and sit in an office for work.
