Avatar f tn Anyhow, two days before the test was taken I started having a sort of headache behind my right eye and after the angiogram I had very bad headaches that causeed nausea for 3 days straight. As well, I have had before some tingling sensations on my right hand side of my head and in my leg. These tingly sensations i have had off and on for about a year now though.
Avatar f tn When he comes round his Headache is worse, his Nystagmus is really bad, he is very Dizzy and Uncoordinated and the tunnel sounds last for awhile. I just took him in for an Angiogram where they had him move his head to the point of when he feels his symptoms the Angiogram turned out okay, but he pass out. The Dr. said he kept call my husbands name with no response and he was rubbing his knuckles on his chest with no response at first then he came round.
Avatar m tn Hi, I had a positive TMT test and an abnormal ECG. I also used to have headache on the back side of head after a moderate walking of 15 - 30 minutes. I also had an angiogram done in Feb 2010 which indicated 30-40 % blockage in the LAD so doctor asked me to go for the angiogram.

Avatar n tn Hi, I had a ct angiogram Dec 21 and my calcium score is 694. My cholesterol is 242. My doctor put me on crestor 10 mg per day. I just got the hard copy report today and my dr. is away for the holidays.... what does that score mean? I have chest pain frequently but they thought it was all in my head....
Avatar f tn 8 years ago he had his first angiogram d/t tightening in the throat symptoms upon exersion. His angiogram at that time showed a very small occlusion in the lower aspect of the heart- resulting in the stable angina. The lastest angiogram also revealed "new arteries" had formed and have compensated for the blockage somewhat. My question is : with 100% blockage and reduced blood flow as stated in the report from the angiogram should a stent not be looked at?

776302 tn?1241091853 My friend was rushed to the emergency room following a rash of violent vomiting. Long story short she had an angiogram procedure done, she felt a pain in her chest and went into cardiac arrest. after 35 minutes she was brought back. The doctor said she had 2 blood clots and it magically disappeared and no surgery was needed. She is up and very well. She feels that the angiogram caused her heart to stop.
Avatar m tn Is the angiogram of leg advisable for the patients suffering from diabetics and foot ulcer? Please do reply for my question....
Avatar m tn I agree, of course you would want an explanation of the results of an angiogram. Unfortunately, due to very busy schedules of cardiologists, this is not always possible. Surely there is an appointment with a cardiologist scheduled?

Avatar n tn I was put in CCU with a tropnin level of .28. After angiogram and other tests, I was diagnosed with Coronary Microvascular Disease. It may be something you would be interested in reading about.
Avatar f tn has ordered is a CT angiogram to check arteries, etc. I am very worried about the exposure of radiation that this test gives off. I also had a CTA of the Aortic Arch and Head back in 2009 when my doctor was worried about a carotid bruit that he kept hearing in my right neck. That test proved ok and it was determined that the bruit was coming from my mitral valve regurgitation that was radiating sound up to the carotids.
Avatar n tn BACNS, or benign angiitis of the central nervous system, is one type of primary angitis of the CNS (PACNS). There are a few types of PACNS, including GACNS (a pathologic diagnosis made by biopsy), and BACNS, a diagnosis which is made by angiography (a procedure whereby dye is injected into the blood vessels of the brain and they are visualized).
Avatar n tn Hi I had a Heart cath done in June of 2008 every thing was perfect but I still have the pain and I am constantly worried that it is my heart. What are the chances that it still could be my heart? I also had all the other cardiac work up done. and everything was fine. Thank you. Avatar n tn They did an ECHO stress test and found some blockage in the back of my heart. They then requested me to do an Angiogram for them to see better in to my heart. I did and I was sent home after 4 hours. They said I am OK. Thats all. I saw my cardios letter while I was with my own GP.
Avatar m tn Some are left dominant where the LAD and LCX supply most of the back of the heart. Some are right dominant where the RCA does this job. You simply have a dominant right side which supplies the back of the heart and I believe probably the AV node too. It's really just the way your plumbing is made up and is of no concern at all. Your LCX will be a relatively short vessel compared to someone who is left dominant because the LCX comes from the LAD (left anterior descending).
Avatar n tn Your nearly passing out may indeed be a TIA or a Transient Ischemic Attack. This can be evaluated further by angiogram of the blood vessels supplying the brain, to see which vessel/s are constricted. It is also important to correct any underlying disorders such high cholesterol, diabetes or hypertension to lessen the possibility of more vessels being affected Regards.
Avatar m tn Has anyone had an angiogram with the catheter inserted in arm or neck instead of the groin? I don't think I could take the groin without serious nerve spasms.
Avatar n tn close to my optic nerve. Now they have ordered a ballon angiogram of my head and neck to be sure the aneurism is truly not a problem and that my problems with balance and nerve pulses up the back of my head when I look to either side or down are not due to a poor supply of blood to the brain. Two of my doctors think I might have trigeminal neuralgia. Will this angiogram help confirm or refute that possible diagnosis?
Avatar f tn d be doing without this forum everyone is so nice and knowledgeable.
Avatar n tn If there are blockages, a stent implant (usually done at time of angiogram) will increase the diameter of the occlusion/occlusions permitting more blood to the deficit area. Sometimes the area of blockage can not be stented because of location, tortuous segment, too long, etc...then a bypass surgical operation may be the only remedy. Alternatively, some people find relief from chest pain with medication.
