androgel

Avatar m tn Hi folks, I'm a 41-year old man. I've been having ed problems on and off for a while. I apparently have low testosterone, and have been using Androgel for that. I've also tried, Viagra, and it works like a CHARM pretty much every time. Here's the thing: I'm a very sexually open person, and I've recently experimented with a few threesomes and foursomes. In each of those cases, despite using the Viagra, I was unable to get an erection.
Avatar m tn I did this because I now live in Greece, and the doc out said I had anxiety and just gave me Viagra, not good as it make you like a machine, and all the above should get you back like to some kind of normality, so far this week its been 6 out of 7, not a bad average..
Avatar m tn The Androgel bottle says it's supposed to be kept at 77 degree's. The room I keep my Androgel in a roo thats about50 degree's . Could this be affecting the Androgel? It doesny seem to be working for me. Started on 4 pumps and worked at first then it didnt. Now on 6 pumps and I felt a difference but now that has declined. Jusy wondering if the room temp could be harming this drug and maybe why it doesnt seem to be working for me. Thanks in advance, Sutallee.
Avatar m tn low T 1 1/2 yrs ago, borderline several months later and then borderline again recently. He put me on 5gm. Androgel which I have been on for 1 week and 2 days now. I have not noticed any improvement as of yet, though my urologist mentioned that it could take 3 weeks before I saw any benefit and would probably want to continue the use of Levitra until that time. Is this true, normal or am I not going to see a benefit from this medication?
Avatar f tn Right now they gave him an anti-depressant and viagra which is like pouring gas on a fire and water at the same time.....Thanks for any info. and if you know of a specialist we live in the south and would be willing to drive.
Avatar f tn I started using Androgel because of depression, hair loss, shaving every 3 days (which is good!), atrophying of all muscles and my bone density dropped. I started Androgel 1.62% and everything improved greatly Good luck and do this only with doctors approval.
Avatar m tn My question is, shortly after I began Testosterone Replacement Therapy and am using Androgel daily. Is this an issue that I should be concerned with in regards to the CSCR? Or is it really corticosteriods that are a problem? This a concern to me since I have noticed a significant improvment in my overall general well being since using Androgel.
694895 tn?1263662430 The only thing I can recommend is contacting the company that makes the Androgel and ask if they can give it to you at a reduced rate since you have no insurance. Your Dr may have to fill out a little bit of paper work for the company. Take care.
Avatar f tn ) He has even gone to a therapist for counseling for anxiety. I recently googled Androgel and anxiety and did come across quite a few people who have had cases of anxiety with Androgel. Could this be the cause? We think possibly. We recently stopped the pristyq (about 2 weeks ago) and just went to the endocronologist today. First time seeing a specialist. She had him stop the Androgel, although she has not heard of it causing anxiety. She is having him do blood work in 2 weeks.
Avatar m tn t notice as long as i keep exercising ---if your doses of androgel are high you may notice a bit of fatigue and and in the sexual dept but nothing severe .
Avatar n tn I was tested again about 4-6 wks later after taking 5 g 1/x day Androgel and they said it was in the normal range, they didn't give me the number. I am not scheduled to do another test at this time. In hindsight I really don't think I ever should have started androgel because of the sleep apnea. I think that lifestyle changes, mainly exercise, would have been the thing to do at the time and that is my plan now, esp once the back pain subsides. I think this will help the test.
Avatar m tn After brachytherapy for my cancer, I am in remission, and after 2+ years resumed taking androgel. I am on androgel again, and have high Testosterone levels (about 1000), but my libido has never recovered. I also have had hypothyroidism, but have been taking synthroid for it for many years with no adverse impact on my libido. Does anyone have a suggestion for what to do?
Avatar n tn How much does a syringe of 1% androgel cost at the pharmacy? Does it vary from one pharmact to another?
Avatar m tn ve been using the product for about three weeks now and my lower back and neck are very painful. Similar to you. Would like further information also by other users.
1139187 tn?1355706647 Hello, Androgel contains testosterone gel can be used for testosterone replacement but should be sued with caution because it has plenty of side effects. It may cause skin irritation, blisters on skin, problems with urination, nausea, stomach pain, low fever, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice and swelling of ankles. Hence use it only under a medical supervision. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn I personally think the whole testosterone treatment is a scam. Nobody tested me for free and albumin bound testosterone, the biologically active forms. Total testosterone is useless. This is like measuring total cholesterol without the HDL and LDL fractions. The primary practice docs are totally clueless. I would recommend talking to a good endocrinologist only.
Avatar n tn 62% Androgel is not likely a full daily replacement amount for you. Using the Androgel will cause your natural T to diminish. Since total T is the sum of exogenous and endogenous sources, you may not be getting the effect you expect.
Avatar m tn I had a civilian doctor who started treating my condition, now I'm back in the Army and they don't seem to care or have a clue as how to treat me. I'm 46 yrs old and I have done two tours of Iraq, if that is any help to finding my problem. I don't know if anyone has noticed or seen a rise of this problem of soldiers in the Middle East. Started seeing my civilian doctor because my blood test revealed that my testosterone was too low.
Avatar n tn He explains how low testosterone levels can alter your mood, bring on depresion, fatigue, lack of motivation, low libido and other problems that MDs usually throw Viagra or their newest and most expensive anti-depressant at. He has written several books on the subject, but this is not the reason for the site.Very informative and helpful. Take a look.
Avatar f tn So it has nothing to do with MS. Viagra increases blood flow and it helps a lot. It will drop your blood pressure and you don't want it to drop to a dangerous level, so you need to monitor it. Start with the minimum effective dose which is 25mg and see if it does something for you. If you wait for a study from the FDA on Viagra for MS, then it will probably happen after you are dead. Please try this now. Viagra has a very good safety profile for a number of years now.
Avatar m tn She started me on a medication called Androgel at 2.5 grams per day! This made my levels drop further and and currently has me on 10-15 grams per day which has brought me up to 800 range! My energy levels, self esteem and well being is almost euphoric and I feel like and 18 year old again! Before any of these treatments I always had strong erections and strong ejaculations, however after using this medication I can not get and erection and my sex drive is completely non existent?
Avatar m tn Please do more web searches and DO NOT use Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. I also have RP and ED. I bought L-arginine/Orinithine but am wary about using until I read that it's ok. Blood flow changes seem to be very bad to already bad retinal cells.
Avatar f tn My husband is on the medication Suboxone and I was needing to know if he can take Viagra with this medicine? We don't want him to take it and go into withdraws or anything so, are the two compatible?
Avatar n tn I am scheduled for a thallium stress test, and would like to know how the use of viagra or nitro prior to the test would influance the results.
Avatar m tn It has helped but it has not solved the problem. I went to my doctor and he gave me a prescription for Viagra, 50 mg. My question is this: Is it safe to occasionally take Viagra if I also take L-Arginine? Are there are any potential contra indications in that Viagra should not be taken by a person who takes L-Arginine? If so, is the contraindication just for that day? In other words, would I be safe if I did not take L-Arginine on the day I took Viagra?
Avatar f tn I am just trying to find out if occasional use of viagra would be safe or a risk to take.
