my 9 month daughter had been put on amoxicillin for her sinus infection. when we started giving it to her, she seemed fine up until 2 weeks later then I noticed what looked like tons of mosquito
bites on her leg. couple days later, I noticed she had these red & white welts on her arm & was quickly spreading to her chest, back & up to her neck. I was panicing so i rushed her to the er & the doc said she had hives from the amoxicillin.
Good Day. I was recently diagnosed with a lingering sinus infection. 27m, in good health otherwise.
Medications prescribed:
1. Amoxicillin
2. 2cc Steroid Injection (cellestone?) given 3 days ago now.
3. Promethazine w/cod.
Symptoms:
Day 1:
1. Shortly after the steroid injection(day 1) I felt a bit dizzy, and had lower blood pressure. But nothing severe
2. Took first dose of Amoxicillin that night , as well as 1tsp of Promethazine
3. My legs felt achy/heavy that night

I gave my cat amoxicillin and she started drooling instantly. I was foamy and clear and lasted for about 2 minutes. Is this normal or is it an allergic reaction?
Over the past two weeks I have been dealing with a cold than turned into a sinus infection that has only recently begun to pass. My doctor prescribed me antibiotics over this last week that I just finished taking two days ago. All though my sinus infection is getting better, I woke up this morning with an itch on my foot around my ankles where the base of my leg meets my foot... Being only half awake to experience, I just scratched and went back to sleep.
I have severe allergies to most antibiotics. Lately, I've been giving amoxicillin to my children, and I'm having a reaction. Is this possible just by touching it? The allergy has the symptoms of serum sickness: I have red welts appearing and disappearing on my hands and feet, and the knuckles on my right hand feel stiff. Can I wait it out, or do I need to see a Dr.?
s why they made me go to the ER and gave me fluid checked my blood and then have me Benadryl and amoxicillin. It sucked and the next day I got it worse but since I been taking the antibiotics I've been feeling much better.
I read somewhere about taking Benadryl in addition to help sleep...is that safe with Tylenol 3? im hoping this is getting better...its my daughters 11th birthday this weekend and im in severe pain...im only on day of the meds....I can't take this pain anymore....the extraction is scheduled for Monday...
I dont know what it is. She had an ear infection and has been on amoxicillin for the last week and half and had no problems with it. There has been no change in anything that we use in our home. She has been inside due to her ear infection. The only things that we could came up with that was different was she got a piece of her daddy's sandwich that was made on pumpernickle bread, she has never had that before.
Woke up with a severely swollen nose right side only. Hurts. No injury to nose.
They didnt do a strep test but diagnosed me with strep and gave me amoxicillin. The next day I started breaking out in hives called the dr. and they said it sounds like i was alergic and to stop taking it.they sent domething else over and they continued getting worse. The rash appeared not long after I began taking Amoxicillin however I have always taken Amoxicillin with no problems at all (since Nov. I have throat flairups, the doctors are not sure what is causing it. My lymph nodes swell, tonsils are infected, fever, white on my tongue, etc however I always test negative for mono and strep). Just in case, I was taken off the Amoxicillin but the rash keeps increasing. The rash started as small tiny red dots across my abdomen and has spread.
She has been on amoxicillin several times before from ear infections when she was little. The only difference with that is it is no longer pink (the amoxicillin). We gave her benadryl Friday in the afternoon and at night and she just woke up again and is still covered in the rash. She also said her lip hurt last night and I noticed it is still a bit swollen. I put one on in the afternoon, and in the evening I noticed my thighs were speckled with hives. I had a few on my arms, and couple on my collarbone. I should add I think they started at work a few hours after I wore the pad, because I was sitting and noticed my ankles were incredibly itchy and had raised bumped. I haven't had hives since before high school.
Also, I started taking amoxicillin about two weeks ago for an ear infection.

It can be due to heat rash or sweat dermatitis. Use a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Also use cotton clothes and change the clothes twice if there is any increased sweating. Try keeping the skin free of sweat as far as possible. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort. For the itching antihistaminics like Benadryl or Claritin can be taken.
While I was sick I took Tylenol regular strength for fever/body aches and drank hot lemon water with honey for sore throat. I also drank/ate as much vitamin c containing atiff I could find.
my cousin is going through a custody battle with his wife and she keeps taking her 4 year old daughter to different doctors to get amoxicillin and shes keeps the medicine she never gives it to the child she tells us that its been spilled and she is throwing a fit all day today to take her to the doctor claims the child has a earache she's freakin out wanting amoxicillin
