Avatar n tn I recently worked with an epoxy that I had thought was an MSDS Health rating 2, which means: "Intense or continued exposure could cause temporary incapacitation or possible residual injury unless prompt medical attention is given." The warnings on the package suggest to avoid eye/skin contact, avoid breathing vapors and to work in "adequate ventilation" (note that no one ever explains what this means).

Avatar f tn Are you talking about Magnesium Hydroxide/Aluminum Hydroxide? Are you taking this to help with w/d symptoms from opiates or have you been taking this separately & feel you've abused it?
Avatar m tn I use a couple of month ago for my hair an optical brightener, which probably contains a little bit of ammonium. (My hairs are naturally blond, but now they are a little more lighter.) But I had this problem already before that! And it was already more than two month ago. How long does it take, to get away the ammonium of the hair by using the brightener? The other problem is, the I can feel this smell of ammonium also on my skin. Even during taking the bath today.
Avatar f tn I am assuming it is in fact aluminium hydroxide, and not ammonium hydroxide? The latter has been used as a binder, but it is much less common. Aluminium hydroxide can be given as a powder, which you could sprinkle on food, so it's worth asking about this. Have you tried Rufus with some human grade chicken and boiled white rice?
Avatar f tn Yes, it is safe to take Advanced Maalox while pregnant. Aluminum hydroxide magnesium hydroxide; simethicone is classified in FDA pregnancy risk category C. When used occasionally at recommended doses not exceeding package labeling, aluminum and magnesium containing antacids have not been found to produce teratogenic effects and are generally considered safe for use during pregnancy.
Avatar f tn Mellie has been taking Aluminum Hydroxide (10 ml) with food each meal, but today she had violent diarrhea and vomited last night's steak. She doesn't have long - I finally coaxed her to eat some boiled chicken and drink at 10 pm - but I am afraid to give any of these meds - she feels so bad. I gave her Cerenia. No more vomitting/diarrhea today, but there nothing inside her...
19691093 tn?1488194069 On January 3, I started giving him Aluminium Hydroxide gel powder as a phosphorous binder. (His bloodwork from February 3 showed phosphorous at 4.4, which was previously at 6.3 on December 19.) Today is February 24, and 4 days ago on February 20, I stopped giving Bebe the Aluminium Hydroxide because of suspected allergic reactions. On February 8, Bebe started pawing at his face more than usual.
10869131 tn?1430198496 I quit my job a long while back because it was high stress fast food place that had a black mold problem as well as ammonium chloride in the sanitizer used for dishes and I was paranoid about spending hours elbow deep in the stuff being in those fragile first few months.
Avatar m tn Hi I am not a doctor but I would think that there would be an MSDS sheet that would explain the dangers. You already know that everything you we eat breathe and put on the body has to be processed by the liver. I will try to find something. and come back.
